Cam you help me.im a beginner .my itunes library is not syncing with serato. I've tried the teo options by enable share my library and allow XML option. But still not good any help would be really appreciated
Very cool
Im turning into the DJ geek that I never wanted to be.. Ive been DJing since before serato. Records and turntables were all I knew. I slowly welcomed serato and the tech that followed (because of traveling gigs). This year my technics malfunctioned. Combined w the outdated 57 I have at home, I decided to purchase the Pioneer SX3. It came with Serato Pitch n Time & Flip. Now Im doing and learning sht I would have considered corny years ago. Moral of the story: Be versatile and always willing to learn. Great tutorial bro. Thanks!
I Hear u, Yeah its always nice to see the Vinyl guys come over to the Midi Controllers and expand there skills, not saying u stopped doing Vinyl, Just saying its pretty cool to see u guys expand your boundaries - I started with Cd's, So it was easy for me to jump into Midi Controllers. nice to hear u guys are doing it also.
@@williestyle2345 For sure man. Stay safe out there bro. It's crazy for us DJs right now
@@GjerrusAllMighty Thanks! ,Yes your right its crazy, can't wait for everything to get back on track. stay safe also.
@@williestyle2345 you are the man bro. We gotta support each other out here. I'm just barley starting to figure all this stuff out man. As much as COVID sux I am putting the time to use!
I'm 62, retired. Did clubs and radio w/vinyl '80s-90s. Bought an SX3 and moved to digital. Old school/vinyl experience seems a leg up beat mixing vs young DJs. Luv reactions to old man rockin' the house.
Awesome tutorial!
Flip is a powerful tool that isn't used enough in my opinion. I loved all five examples. This video was long overdue. Thanks for sharing! Keep up the great work on this channel!
Thanks, glad you liked the tutorial and found it useful! Yeah its such a powerful tool thats often overlooked.
Mr. Potter you've done it again! Bloody hell I couldn't thank you enough
I first got the flip when i purchased my SX2 in 2016....
I thought it would be a very good feature, although i haven't used it much.
I will definitely look to do more with it after watching your video.
Your explanation of what you was doing was spot on.
Keep the good work up.
Thank you very much, always pleasure to watch you. This is great tool!
Thanks for the clear tutorial. Drop swap was my favorite example. It's my main way of using it.
This will definitely help my mixes since I've been flipping live without being able to record them in!
As always....fantastic videos!!! Well done and thank you for these!!!
My pleasure!
bless for this vid bruv just got my ddj sx3 today and just had a little practice but defo going to try this flip
I liked the first flip you did!
That was my favorite
One of best video you did, I like all the examples, first one is very easy and useful
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
This is crazy! I had no idea... Gonna hafta start playing with Flip more now.
By the way, I keep watching your tutorials and really helpful indeed. thank you very much.
I love the chopping up a drop!
Thank you Jamie, I love your cyrstal clear tutorials.
Glad you like them! Thanks :)
Excellent... I like all the samples... Great tutorial as always.
sweet! i need to use more and more the other tools in my ddjsx2 so this is a good tutorial
The fifth way of using it was just what I've been looking at trying to do for a while. That silent cue just sorted all problems out =>.
Been using to shorten long songs. Will use all your tips. Great video! Thanks.
Obsessed! Can’t wait to try these out, esp #5
That was dope. Sooooooooo many possibilities.
I love the last two and I will be use them thank you
This was a dope tutorial. Thx u
This must be a great product because i have no idea what what you are doing, demonstrating, or suggesting we do with flip. But for only 30 bucks, I'm sold!
I totally understood what he’s saying. As someone who has never used Serato I found my jaw dropping!! Stems has got nothing on flip imo
Awesome video! Extremely helpful!!!!
Awesome tutorial!
This looks super useful. I'm all about having custom versions of tracks that make you stand out & this makes it possible: more and more the DJ is about as limited as creativity allows. More tools to add to bring to the set? I'll take it. Thanks for such a well made video!
That was awesome tut !
Great tutorial. Thanks!
It worked for my ddj sx3 and Mojave
Thank you
Hey Jamie, you are the no.1!
Its lots to soak in. But you shown me some nice techniques..thanx I am inspired
Creative and excellent video
Great tutorial 👍🏻
Amazing video. I think I would most likely use it for the tone play feature.
great vid man! keep it up!
I have the SX2 and I'm gonna try to use it today
Thanks Jamie. That was helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Cool, Thanks Jamie.
I don't really know which one to choose as favourite. Well done
On most pioneer controllers, once flip is activated, the left arrow will arm flip. The left and right arrows in normal and shift mode control four functions.
Liked the last two.
*Nice! Bro!*
Pretty dope!
Wow!!!! I guess I can use that on my DDJ FLX6 controller 💯🔥
great video. thanks.
super cool
Great video!
Ótima vídeo aula, show.
Makes a change from me flipping people off.. great vid 👌
the last one i have not tried yet. thank
Alright...now I need to use this!!!
I bought Flip several years ago when it first came out, and I occasionally try to find a practical use for it...but in the end I always find it's easier for me to do it with basic cue-points, or doubles -- or in the case of a track-part I know for sure I never want to play, just to make a permanent re-edit.
hey, can you give me your serato flip extention, cause I need it and don't want to purchase
@@georgepaula908 hey brother, it's yours if the company will allow it. email me at my name, with no spaces, at Google's popular email service.
@@ryansupak3639 thank you, hope my email was delivered

Damn, I would have jumped at the opportunity for Dj Malfoy 😅 then call his fans the slytherins😂 because he looks l more like Malfoy than Malfoy does hahah. Dope tutorial, I also signed up for the crossfader course package so like I can’t unsee it haha
Cool. I don't use Serato Flip as much as I should.
Thanks for using Hip Hop music
Our pleasure!
Clever
wow lit
Niiice...
Dj valid 😁
your song is going into the red on serato!
Hi ! are decks movements "recorded" with Serato FLIP ? Like a scratch phase for example or if I use pitch'n'time to enhanced and expand my creativity 😉
Just bought a ddj sr do I have to down load serato 1.7 with the serato flip for the controller to work ?
👍👍👍👍👍
Ur good
I’m about to buy a used Roland DJ 505 that is supposed to come with this and a bunch of other expansions. Will I not get those since it’s used?
What camera and video software did you use to make this video? 👍🏿👍🏿
just come across this love how you broke this down. can you only store 8 flips max? or can you store 8 per track
That's a really good question I hadn't considered. From the video it looks like its a per-track bases just like cue points. Not having tried it myself I can't be sure though.
@@ErvahNoir need to discover if it is possible
Can you start a Flip with a Hot Cue?? Try to do it on the SX2 but it will play the song get to the cue point and start again
Have to use the play bottom!!!
Do you know why???
I dont think the sx2 has dedicated flip controls. You may have to midi map it.
SX2 have dedicated flip controls
I need the software for my windows 32 bit? Where can I get it ?
I don't use Serato Flip , but is nice feature
Can you use it with a DDJSB3
@@victorboyd9881 dont. noi sorry , I use DDJ SX
Is there any tutorial for the pioneer sb2 ?
What controller is this? I think it’s the one I’ve been looking for a while now
Josh Blight Pioneer SX3
I'm torn between SX3 and 1000SRT and im coming from Rane TTM57 and Tech 1200 any sugg?
You cant flip like that on the SRT or use overlapping fx like you can with sx3. But the srt has better jog wheels and more of a club feel.
Can I use the flip to slow down the track? for example plays 100 bpm and when does the clean vocals or other part of the song tempo drop to 75bpm?
The only way to slow it down would be to play the hot cues at 75bpm. For example have a song playing at 75bpm originally and then play the 100bpm tracks hot cues in time with it. Just be careful as it may not sound right if the track catches other sounds/drums as you're playing. You want to be able to isolate just individual sounds ideally. Hope that makes sense.

Serato flip is same like memory cue rekordbox?
wow ;O
how i use serato flip with semplers
like a boom machine
I was interested untill i found that you must purchase the whole bundle pack of upwards of $350. You can no longer buy a individual expansion. Why would i want to purchase a bundle of plug ins i dont need or desire? Serato must be on a decline to pull a move like this.
my nigga you killed it!!
you don’t seem to be black so stop saying the n-word
Is there actually any point to this? If you want to do any of this stuff to 'save', you might as well remix/rerecord it in a half decent audio package and play that?
With Flip, you can have multiple edits or remixes in 1 file. It's built in to the DJ program you are playing the file with. Perfect way to try out some edits on a crowd.
If the DJ wants to produce a solid remix, they would go to a more complete DAW.
Do you have to paid monthly for serato now?
No. You do not..
i love sx and then sx2 is best
Is there something similar within RekordBox?
Unfortunately not. It's something that's unique to Serato at the moment. Definitely one of the big plusses to the software over Rekordbox at the moment.
Andreas Fischer as Jame said, there is not an option as this and neither fade in and out cue point which traktor has. I have being asking for this on Rekordbox since I switched over to it at least two years ago. Rekordbox has sometimes call sequences call but event thought you could create something remotely close, it is not good for it, just to create a beat pattern. It kind of a sequencer emulator. Someone please tell pioneer with need this two things I mentioned. 😄
What about ddj rr & recordbox dear Jamie ,hope u will upload a tutorial video thank u
🤣'powerful tool!!!!
Hi Jamie, I'm a new dj, Love your tips and reviews. The flip function of serato is the same if I use the REC function of my serato or rekordbox when i do my set but remixing one song and using hot cues then after the remix i have my own remix version of a particular song that i choose? please let me know if I got it right. (although Im not aware of the legal implication, but just for the sake of theories, i can that do the same function with the regular rec function of the serato dj pro right?. Thank you in advance, hope to hear from you.
The REC function in Serato is to record your overall mix. The REC button in FLIP MODE is to record the FLIP. Does that help? I’m confused on what you’re asking.
@@MasonThomas got it! thank you Mason, very helpful indeed.
james bond Awesome! No prob!
My flip button not turning on
Hey BRO pls i need a help ,
I have the pads full of hot cues , okey ,
But when I wanna delete the first pad #1 , it deletes the last one #8
I hope you understand Bro
Está bien, lastima que me estoy mudando a virtual dj porque Serato con los vídeos va de vergüenza
