Hey there, i watched your Series some weeks now, and find alot of usefull Tips and Builds for my own beginning Base. And today here i am and started a membership to say Thank your so much. :) Best regards and hope to see much more Oni Vidoes. Beste Grüße und ich hoffe ich kann noch viel mehr Oni Videos sehen. Hey Cassiopeya! I love to hear that you enjoy my content and that it helps you in your own base, that makes me happy! Thank you very, very much for the membership, I truly appreciate that you choose to support me! If you have a Discord and want to join my channel, just reach out to me with a quick DM and I'll make sure you get your Supporter Role. And, the next dupe has your name written all over them :)
from my experience what is so good about the hydra is the flat out performance and hydrogen storage. If you have a large water source you can run as many hydras as you want, and can fully power your base from your spom. I currently have 4 hydras in a spom, and I can enable or disable them on demand for more hydrogen production. I am running my base, power wise from the spom. A couple of water geysers go a long way..
Absolutely, Hydras are incredibly powerful und versatile! In this scenario, I just wanted to show off how to build one from scratch. The process is the same for more electrolyzers, but this swamp planet is more then well served with only one, haha :)
@@BierTier yeah the only hard part, is getting it primed, If you vacuum both sides it usually gets messed up, I normally put the hydrogen in first to make it flow the right way.
When i was watching your interplanetary launcher setup. Is there any reason that you are not sending 80 radbolts (more like 84 or so radbolts) to the launcher? Since it is using 80 radbolts to launch items to other planets, i think it would make the setup faster too, as you wont be waiting 4 seconds for 2 shots. Maybe someting to look into, or i am just a dummy.
18:45 you should make a vertical line of deodorizers, one every 4 tiles to rid of this pollution, a horizontal line of deodorizer is only good for corridors where bad air is rushing in. In empty space this will only create a horizontal band of clean air between 2 dirty ones. sry I did not realise YT auto played something I already watched and commented on
You are fine totally fine, each "real" comment helps me with the algorithm :) I agree with the vertical build! I didn't really care in this case since all I wanted was some Oxygen for the Hydra, not to actually get rid of the Polluted Oxygen. I forgot to deconstruct the Deodorizers, they are not needed, especially since I need the sand for the water sieve :)
@@BierTier Yeah, YT playing in the background while I game, I was basically done dealing with similar scenario playing oni when YT's AI decided to auto-play-on your video from where I left off doing other things prior. Frankly I thought I was still watching and posting in Nathan's Sandbox 100 dupes challenge. UA-cam's AI messing around with the humans I guess :)
16:55 I started to use that new radiator/conduction panel in the pipes menu to cover the 2 pump, placing them so they touch 2 buildings. I'm not sure if it's more efficient really. Something to investigate.
Yes, you have to prime it. Otherwise, the gases may(not necessarily always, but definitely on occasion) get mixed up in the infinite storages. And that is an issue I don't want to have to deal with later :)
I prefer the rodriguez since the hydra feels too cheaty and I'm still concerned some bug or update will break infinite storage - I've already had a bug breaking single tile regolith storage. Still, the two don't look different for tiny build versions. Have the same concern with poxygen offgas making 1000's of KG of oxygen per tile, which is a consequence of making a mass offgas-based ceramics factory. It might be funny to store thousands of tons of oxylite instead. Maybe even just periodically delivery massive amounts of oxylite to colonized asteroids with no oxygen source of their own. Can never have enough ceramics, my ceramics factories end up producing more oxygen even than my rodriguez as a byproduct rather than the main product. Still short of ceramics. And sand. I'm not sure if the meteors re-implemented on all asteroids in the DLC will give regolith. It would be a real pain to make bunker tile at the top of every asteroid though, even the generous water planet won't give enough lime to make that much steel AND all the other stuff I used it for last run.

I haven't used that radiator as much as I should, it is definitely a cool building though. I need to start using it more!
Dont you need wallpaper behind the liquid outlet or dose liquid not get effected my vacum when droping from that
Surf n turf for the tree. You want the most KCal per kg for the best ROI with the tree
do u rly need to feed gasses to hydra before u start it ? just vacuuming will not work?

Thanks for providing a save file but does it work? The link sends me to an advert.
I apologize, you are right, there was a mistake in the link. I just fixed it in the description: bit.ly/BT_LP2_EP35_SwampHydra
It will work now :)
@@BierTier thanks!
Rovers can do cleaning work on background
Yep, they are good at that!
I’d assume there is a limit to how many dupes you can have in the game but I’m not sure
I honestly don't know if there is a limit, if so, it's probably a technical one, depending if your PC can handle it, haha :)
are we going to see a taming of a Tungsten volcano without supercoolent?
Yes, there won't be any supercoolant involved for the Tungsten Tamer ;)
Me who are in the making of a Rodriguez
🤨🤨
Nothing wrong with that, just a different path to the same solution ;)
I’m a big Rodriguez fan, haha :)
Nah just gimme a Rodriguez!
There are plenty of those in use already ;)
