Thanks for sharing. I made my first project bag today. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 I use my scrap batting and my scraps fabric from quilting and quilted it. 😀thanks again
Thank you for your wonderful tutorial. I have now done 2 and I appreciate your comment at the end saying yours didn't line up at first either. It helped boost my confidence!!!
Celeste, you are a natural teacher. I make project bags for a "living" and did find that I needed to topstitch to keep the fabric from catching in the zipper. You must have a special touch!
I have made several vinyl front bags in the past, but was not happy with my results. I found your video the other day and decided to try it . I am so glad I did. Thank you, your instructions were so easy to follow. I have three bags done and have several more cut ready to go. Thank you, wonderful video.
Thank you for the best top zipper bag tutorial I have seen. It has inspired me to make some, well, a lot of them so I may kit and organize all of my cross-stitch projects. 😀 Keep teaching...
I have been sewing for many years and I want to say that you did an excellent job of explaining and showing how to make this zipper bag. I feel like even a beginning seamstress could make this bag following your tutorial! Great job!!
Thank you sooo very much. I made a strawberry project bag out of a cute cotton dish towel from Walmart. It costs , I think, 94 cents !!! It’s so cute !!! I love a bargain. The zipper pull is from a set of fabric tomatoes and strawberries from Amazon. Thank you, again!!!
Oh my!!! This is just fantastic. I have made some project bags that are very 'new sewer' looking especially as it comes to the zipper. Thanks for the video...I feel empowered to make a few more bags.
I just made another project bag using your tutorial and I have to say I love this method! I was making vinyl fronts, but I think I like these better. Thanks, Celeste, you’re the best!🤩🥰
I know this is a year old tutorial. I just found this by you and love it! Well my bags aren’t perfect I’ve had so much fun making them. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together. I really appreciate it. You must be a teacher. Lol
Thank you so much for this helpful video! I just made my first project bag and it was for my 6yo son who just started his first “hand stitch”. 😍 now I need to make some for myself!
Thank you so much for your tutorial, I cannot wait to make one. I have watched your channel for quite a while and really enjoy it. Thanks for inspiring me to make some to get better organized.☺
Hi Celeste! You did an awesome tutorial for a simple top zip project bag! Everything was explained very clearly. You are a natural teacher. Thank you for taking the time to record the tutorial, you are a doll!! Happy sewing, stitching and quilting!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻😻🍂🐿🍁🦔🍂🐌🍁🦉💛🤎🧡
I have to say thank you! I have been sewing for years but always avoided the dreaded zipper. But after seeing all of the amazing project bags I really wanted to try. I watched your tutorial 3 times and got it on the first try! Now to go make my second one!
Oh Celeste! Thank you so much! You are a fabulous teacher and I can't wait to try this project. I've been wanting to make project bags but some of them seemed so involved. Yours is perfect! Thank you again. Stay safe and stay well. I love your floss tube channel and your quilting and your tutorials and everything you make. We're neighbors....I live in AR. LOL!
I don't recall if I said, but I really appreciate this tutorial. I've made quite a few of these lately, and you've made it so easy. I know it takes a lot of time to film this sort of resource, so please know how much you are appreciated. Being a very novice sew-ist, I cannot thank you enough for talking through the steps at a reasonable pace. I love project bags, but I'd spend a fortune if I could not make them myself.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful tutorial, Celeste. Your steps were clear and well explained. I really appreciate it and I’m sure so many others will as well. Take care and blessings to you.
Thank you Celeste, this was a great tutorial. I have been sewing for many years but haven't used a zipper in a very long time. I'm going to try this bag. Thanks again.
This was a fantastic tutorial. Absolutely exactly what I have been searching the internet for. Thank you so very much Celeste for the tutorial. You explained it incredibly well. I dabble in sewing. So this is a bag I think I can make. This is great. I will definitely subscribe here. Just for your information, I was watching a tutorial from Bonnie at Log Cabin Stitcher. She recommended this video in her video. I am so very happy she did. Again, thank you!! Be safe and healthy!!
Celeste..GREAT VIDEO !!! I am a non sewer. Your instructions were so clear that I am ready to tackle a project bag. Since I will make various sizes can you please demonstrate how to handle a zipper that does not fit as accurately as the one in your tutorial...You are the BEST !!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent, Celeste! I, too am a vinyl-front bag maker, but have been wanting to make some “ just fabric” bags as well. Your instructions will set me on the right path! Thanks again.
Thank you for the tutorial! I can't wait to make one. A zipper.. well I will attempt it. You made it look easy. I haven't done one since high school and could never do it right. Thanks again for the clear instructions .
Oh wooooow! Love them. I have a lot of fabric and all my gift recipients this year could do with some bags. My MIL knits, I could sew a large button hole in the side for her to pull a piece of yarn through. My mom quilts, I could make one the size of two project boards sandwiched together or include an embroidery hoop... My son likes to use zip bags for his legos... Ah I love it! You're inspiring me to make something. Thank you
Celeste just watched your tutorial and hope to make bags for myself in the future. I'm not very fond of those with vinyl fronts as I've had the printing from patterns come off on it; so very excited with your help. Thanks!! Also, I just requested to follow you on Instagram.
Thank you Celeste for a wonderful tutorial. I do make front zip project bags with three fabrics, but I like the idea of making a simpler bag, but equally as beautiful. A little trick I like to do is I will use a 16 inch zipper for 14 inch bag. That way I don’t have a problem with the zipper pull. That idea might not work for a top zipper bag though.Thank you for some little tips and tricks.
Thank you so much Celeste, I have made a bag using this method and love it. Many more bags in my future, I am a quilter as well and have incorporated that into the bags I plan to make. take care and thanks again for sharing.
Love this tutorial! You explain all the steps so clearly, they're really easy to understand. I'm planning on making one of these for my sister for Christmas, she loves to crochet and knit. :)
Thank you for a wonderful tutorial Celeste. Your instructions will be great to follow as I make my first project bag. I loved your fabric choices. Stay safe and well and thank you again.
Thanks for this clear tutorial and for showing us some of your fabric stash. I suffer from the fear of the zip, but think I could follow along with you and make a bag. ❤️
Very nice job walking us through each step. I have made several bags, but always enjoy seeing another way of doing things. I will certainly be using your tutorial for a different style! I got a kick out of the fact that I have the very same fabric...both outer and lining!! Thought it would make a nice bag..now I know it does.😁
Hi, Celeste! Fellow Texan in the Austin area. Loving all of your Flosstube and Quilty Tube videos and tutorials. Just rewatched your Top Zip project bag tutorial again and feel inspired to make one today! Also watched Quilty Tube #5.5 just before this -- so fun and informative. Thank you!
