    Sweeet! Dodge has definitely changed the game many times over. Original 4x4 truck 1946. The truck that needs no road. Power Wagon. Dodge trucks of all shapes and sizes served our great nation in combat. Chrysler was the sole source of Tansfer cases and standard transmissions for all full size american trucks. New process gear. Making Chevy and Ford 4 wheel drive over a decade later late 50's. First turbo diesel, fully boxed frame, Exhaust brake, Extra cab and crew cab etc... I finally own my dream truck 2015 AEV Prospector power wagon i bought brand new after owning my 2003 Hemi 1500 4x4 for 12 years and 112,000 trouble free miles. Sold it to my best friend who still drives it today. Mid 70's Dodge Big Horn Semi's are awesome trucks as well.

    I have my 98 gen2 5.2l gas manual. Pennies on the dollar compared to buying a new truck or even a recently new used truck. Just fun to work on. I had the crank shaft sensor wire go out on me while in the desert. Luckily I was able to coast 9 miles all the way down hill to the highway. So I'd recommend replacing any sensor that, if fails, will halt your vehicle. Even the pre and post cat O2 sensors would be good to replace.

    Look into the fleece power flow lift pump. It's more expensive than the fass and airdog but I really think it's the best option. No external pump, no need for a modded drawstraw or sump added and good for all the power a VP will make. Also it's not so much keeping the injectors happy but the having the VP fully cooled and lubricated with 14psi or more.

    When talking about steering and suspension for these trucks, there is a company that either you glossed over or aren’t aware. They are called dodgeoffroad and make steering, bump stops, suspensions, sway bars and lots of other parts that most companies don’t make for second gens. I believe their shackle flip would allow you to improve ride and get some lift while keeping the stock leaf pack and capacity. Wasn’t sure if you were aware.

    • @JustDiesels
      @JustDiesels  3 роки тому

      I would never speak poorly about a company unless it’s well warranted, but I refuse to run or even talk about their parts. Best diesel channel on UA-cam by far. I need to look into how to go all out but only bolt ons with my 98.5 I don't have the 99 front setup you have I guess. What's the best resource you've found for really good knowledge and opinions and advice with 2nd gen suspension? Don't want it lifted either. Stock height.

    The 5.9 cummins looks so easy to work on. Reminds me of a classic inline 6. So simple! I need one!!! Is this truck for sale?
