Just as revealing are west coast female adults thinking they are "down to earth" and their vanity is a "cookie cutter mold" and it's difficult to distinguish any of the personalities apart. They are oblivious to how lacking they are from being "down to earth".

I mean, there are things you just don’t do and telling a father in front of the kids at a restaurant his daughter will resent him is totally unbecoming. She looked like a huge ass for that! Just had this forwarded to me! Hi all, Im Samantha Pilek, now know as Samantha Heart. So here is the inside scoop on this show that we filmed 17 years ago! OMG, I can't believe its been 17 years. So obviously this is producer driven. The truth is I am not a snob and I worked very hard to get where I was. My kids are not snobs either. They were very shy and incredibly boared during this week of filming. It was up to us Moms to try make the most of the week. I think I did a good job of that. Maybe Lisa struggled more and she was obviously very different from me as far as how she speaks to her kids. The first day of filming after my first interview I quit the show. I told the producers of Fox that they had the wrong person for this show and that I would not be the person they wanted me to be.They wanted me to make fun of the kids and the family and how they lived. I refused. In the end they agreed to my demands. I guess Lisa had to be the bad guy. But clearly it wasn't too much of a stretch. lol Her kids were so sweet and so was Craig. I enjoyed my time. After we got our checks Lisa reached out to me and sent me a long letter that was very kind and sweet and thanked me for what I tried to do while there and said they were trying to change some bad habits. My Katie is still in touch with Lisa sometimes on social media. I am divorced, yes! I actually remarried for 6 years- but was a shot gun weding to a great Italian man, but in the end not good for the long haul of life sad to say. So I am single again! Katie is an amazing singer- check out her soundcloud- KatieHeartMusic and her instagram. She may or may not become a singer , but she has a beautiful voice and is following many passions. They didn't allow any of my real friends on the show. Just neighbors. Joelle was a friend and Amanda was my sister and she is very kind and lovely. Joelle and Normi were coersed to say things that made them look bad . But you can't get around some of their comments.... I am really not friends with either of them now. Joele and I were besties for awhile. Normi was always just my neighbor. Sorry for them and how it turned out. Normi was mortified.... moved away and everything!Anyhow, don't know how or why this has suddenly resurfaced. So funny to look back and see this. Crazy comments!!! I guess the pandemic has people watching these old episodes. People do need to realize that a lot of reality TV is cut pasted and tweaked to keep the viewers interest. I do love how you came across, sensitive to the children's feelings. In trying to better their habits you didn't belittle them, as many seem to. Beautiful lady inside and out.

Agree. Samantha is stuck in appearances. Lisa doesn't care about that and the kids don't either. Shallowness is rampant in This wealthy group. Not to say Sam didnt have value, i.e. food choices, but interaction was not deep, just shopping to improve appearance. Both have positive influences can be found
She made no effort to fit in the just bumbled around and she did want dude to wait on her. She started the bad atmosphere when she was making remarks about the houses on sams street, insulting the dark haired woman tryna be underhand but oh so obvious. Yeah while she definitely acted out of line on different occasions, she was only trying to help but that California family hated her from the start and would be stuck up regardless of who they were swapping with.
It was nice of Samantha to take the daughter shopping, as a larger girl she needs to know she can dress in a feminine way just like the slim girls do. Just a little necklace made a big difference. She really encouraged the son too she has good intentions
Wow that’s so incredibly offensive. I hope you don’t say things like that IRL I don’t think being a “larger girl” 🙄 has anything to do with dressing or being feminine. Seemed like she dressed that way because she was comfortable that way! I have a daughter who is 5-6 and about 115 lbs and she has always dressed in jeans and a hoodie or more recently leggings and a long shirt or sweatshirt. So she’s a “smaller girl” yet doesn’t chose to dress any differently than Lisa’s Katie. We have curvier friends who always wear dresses or nicer shirts and slacks and look not only extremely well put together but feminine and even sexy. So weight has nothing to do with it. Whether she’s 100 lbs or 500 lbs Katie should wear what makes her feel good! So yes sams intention was very good but your comment sucked

The daughter is at that awkward phase between being a kid and becoming a teen. One thing I will say about my parents is they never really forced clothes on me or put me down for what I wore (unless it was like for church or something). I got into punk rock when I was like 15 and my parents were like dress however you want but you’re buying the clothes so I got a job
I couldn't help feeling the vocal coach was only too happy to please the wealthy people and get paid well... why work harder if the parents are happy and your paycheck is good? But you are absolutely right. The advice Lisa gave was actually pretty spot on... I wondered if maybe she had done some vocal work in the past.

If they all played along the girl would have had fun.. The tip was given in good spirit. Father set the lesson as a show off. What a nasty man - a horrible example to his kids. I an so glad his wife had enough sense to humble herself and fit in. At first it didn't appear like she could get through to the kids - but she won them all with their father encouraging. It really shows that there is a difference in how people treat others when they live differently.. There was no need to be rude to a guest and ask those kinds of questions.

I don’t get how anyone can say that about Samantha’s kids lol Lisa was rude and made sly comments and pretty much was a bully. No one would have reacted well to her behavior. Rewatch the episode. Lisa was out of line a few times and the kids reacted to it.
What's wrong with that "vocal coach" that girl should have been singing from her diaphragm, she should have been standing instead of sitting. That childs voice could have been alot more sweeter, had she had proper training!!!!
I took voice lessons for twenty years and you are exactly right! If I had sat down during my two hour lesson, (three times a week by the way), my voice professor would have kicked me from stem to stern. You are also right, she was NOT teaching to sing from the diaphragm.... a very poor vocal coach.
The way Samantha’s ‘friends and neighbours’ acted towards and spoke about Lisa on that boat trip was so awful. What a shallow, judgmental, ignorant and conceited bunch of mean girls - seriously, behaving like they were in high school. They were so unbelievably full of themselves. I full-body cringed watching them. Yes Lisa was brash and tactless but no-one deserved THAT.
Samantha seemed lovely (though deluded, I am rich because I wanted to be rich, you are poor because you do not want to be rich) and her friends were exactly as you described.

Sam was on here and she said that they wanted her to act like those other women and were trying to get her to act snotty and I guess because she already has lots of money she didn't care about the payout enough to agree to what they wanted and she threatened to drop the show. She also said that that woman that seemed high was not even someone she knew but just a random neighbour she didn't know from the other end of the street that wanted to be on TV. Also she left her husband because I think she said she caught him cheating.
Craig was so nice and accommodating to Samantha. Those California neighbors were so rude and snobby. Jurek didn't try to introduce her to anyone. The neighbors made fun of her job then talked trash on her. "How big is your trailer? Here's to Sam in god only knows where...She's insecure, why wouldn't she be...you girls are beautiful" Yes, Lisa has a big personality, but I didn't think she had a mean spirit. She just said what she thought.
Samatha, is not a humble person .. what do you do for fun spend money .. that's a person who's never lived life or really has known what happiness is .. in a way I feel bad for her ..
I think Lisa meant well but should have been more sensitive to the fact that the kids were just kids. She could have asked them to help her with laundry or dishes while getting to know them better. Instead she just gave them chores without explaining anything to them. You can tell they thought they were just being punished for no reason and ended up resenting her for it. Say what you like about Sam, she obviously had her biases but she was kind to everyone and was thoughtful in her approach and seemed to meet the family half way. She encouraged Eric to try other foods but ultimately let him order that burger. When she went shopping with Katie, she encouraged her to step out of her comfort zone but didn't force any of the clothes on her. She was also cool with her taking her scooter instead of running - which I think is great. Encouraging kids to eat fresh foods and be more active is not a bad thing. She didn't even delegate any of the money to a new car for the family, something she obviously valued but the Bowers did not. I do think the beach scene showed that the Pilek kids and (ex)husband could stand to learn some manners wtf. Who doesn't offer their chair to a guest?
Candy Girl what’s wrong with that lol most kids that are overweight have low self esteem she can put two and two together lol I have actually never met a kid who was overweight that did not have at least a little low self esteem It was not like she said your daughter is fat you are all lazy and you disgust me what she did there was nothing wrong with she lived their lifestyle observed tried implying changes she thought would make them feel better and it worked and that girl might actually have low self esteem and just not show it
Candy Girl Yeah ok. Samantha showed positive reinforcement to those kids which isn’t something their parents show them. She said something many people figure is true. And I still believe it and stand by what I said. I was raised with junk food and no special diets and yet I still make an effort to take care of my body for self esteem and health reasons. Shit the way you attack Samantha makes me wonder if you’re just a hater like Lisa or is it something else.
I went in thinking that Sam was going to be the stuck up, rude mom and Lisa was going to be the cool, nice, down to earth mom, but it was totally the opposite!
I think Sam was great amd Lisa was misunderstood and she was not welcomed with open minds. There are differences amongst regions in this country & the West coast family didnt quite get Lisa's boisterouspersonaluty IMHO. Wish both families the best.❤️
Samantha's husband appeared to be very cold, detachdd and uncaring. I believe that if he were more welcoming to Lisa, things would have been a little better between Lisa and the children. I also believe that Lisa would have received a more welcoming response from the people in the community if Samantha's husband took a softer approach.

So I just saw Samantha posted on here… I can well imagine these shows are producer driven just like any reality show. We only get a very small glimpse of these families … honestly I couldn’t imagine a camera crew following me around all day nudging us to say this and that … it would be so akward. I wish Lisa had been made to feel more welcome… the California women made the orange county stereotype all too real. Samantha was just so lovely .. not at all like her friends. Normi had to feel like an unwiped ass after sticking out her tongue (which was covered in that thick white coating that happens when you don't brush/scrape your tongue well) and poking fun at her for her profession. According to Samantha she was so embarrassed by her actions and her words that she didn't interact with her neighbors after the show aired and she packed up and moved away to boot!!! 😂😂😂
Lisa didn’t go into this with an open mind, the minute she showed up she was defensive and put up walls. She turned up the mean as a defence mechanism. Sams friends deserved the meanness but Sam’s kids sure didn’t...the way Lisa treated the kids was awful and she should be ashamed. Sam at least was sweet and encouraging to the kids!

Heavens Sanctuary - I live way below my means because that’s how I was taught and went even further with it. If something is expensive in my home it was a hand me down and I save every way I can. It is because of that I was ok when I had a huge monthly medical bill increase. A month of one prescription was more than my rent but I could do it. I don’t just meet my needs I have all of my wants because what I want is realistic. When new insurance made medicine free, the money I was spending went to savings.

Both sets of parents had serious issues. Obviously the poor mom didn’t act very well, but Sam was just so judgmental, and I can’t even. I think there is something fundamental that you can learn from this episode. Samantha is obviously the more laid-back mother you can go to for advice, while Lisa is the exact opposite. But Samantha has lived an ESPECIALLY privileged life; she has the freedom to do what she wants and have these dreams and accomplish all of them because she has the means to. She does not stress about bills and average people's things like Lisa.. I do not think it is an excuse to be a bad mother, which I don't think Lisa is, she has way more to consider in life on top of her children. You can't expect a tired, worn out mom to be warm and forgiving all the time, especially when under financial stress. And all I am saying is although Samantha is nice, it is extremely telling that everyone she surrounds herself with is cocky, arrogant, and rude, particularly her children. That is learned behavior.
AS WELL, the capacity to cook nourishing food that Samantha's family eats is rare and privileged. No, a family of four with two working parents cannot cook three meals a day, seven days a week that will keep their kids in tip-top shape. Its common to eat fast food, that's why they market them towards lower to middle class people.
ALSO generational trauma is SO COMMON; unfortunately, it seems Lisa's family has fallen victim to that. It is so hard to break those patterns when they are engraved into family structures

Want to insult people, at least use proper grammar. “I seen” is incorrect and makes people sound dumb. It’s either “I HAVE seen” or “I SAW”. 🙄 Also, another common, annoying thing people spell wrong is “could of/ should of”. It’s a contraction of the words “could” (or should) and “have”. Spelled could’ve or should’ve. Sound smart when putting people down ;)
Barbara, I do think people that were rude and popular in high school struggle to change because acting that way got them what they wanted. If it works why would they change? If they realize and care if it hurts someone they have a good chance of changing.
The California mom was so nice & intuitive. The Massachusetts mom was a lil brash but has a good heart as does her kids. The behavior of the California kids & husband were abysmal & horrendous as were the neighbors.

I feel like Lisa has been a little misunderstood. She is blunt and needs to work on her delivery but her message is right on. She was made a good point about the little girl singing and having the kids work a little around the house. I think the husband maybe could’ve tried to meet her halfway and maybe they all could’ve learned something from each other.
I agree her suggestions were very good...she praised the girl as well as making positive directions to help her vocals, delivery and presentation of the song...
Samantha was actually really good to their kids. The other woman was pretty rude. Samantha's friends however were terrible that's exactly why I don't have to many friends that are woman.
Keitha Graham yes sam was ok. I don't think she was wonderful at all. Lisa's kids were also better than her spoiled brats which makes it easier to be decent. Sam was actually quite rude to Lisa's husband with the comments she made about the car and their home and what they eat and what they do. She's telling the husband that a new car isn't that expensive and then talks about her jag. Does she think they chose to drive an older car for fun?! Charity - Met a bf’s friends and heard a girl say, “Ugh I don’t want to have to be friends with a girl”. I walked over and said, “I love you already because I didn’t want to put up with girls either.” We’ve been great friends for 3 years. Found another girl to add but the rest we didn’t want to deal with the drama and bitchiness.
The Bower family are actually a very good looking family! All of them!! They have beautiful eyes and complexions. They also are hilarious and seem intelligent. If they exercised as a family and cut out some of the sodiums n what nots, they’d be a lot healthier. And have more confidence. But I like them a lot as a unit. (Bear with me, I’ve only gotten to the airport scene lol)

I’m a dental hygienist and it made my blood boil when that lady was making fun of The profession…. The dental hygienist literally does every single job in the office! Shame on that lady
Because it's a social experiment... You take two different people from two different walks of life and they spend a week with your family then determines what you should do with the money. It's really to show the huge difference in how people spend the money, because a lot of times on this show the richer family divides the money down to the penny on specific items that could truly benefit the family. There has been a few cases where the rich spouse was a ditz with the money though...

Samantha was great, very open and caring. Lisa had the right idea, wrong action. Samantha's kids are very spoiled. They had no manners, even before Lisa became bossy. No one made her feel welcome from the beginning. And Samantha's friends.. oh my god she surrounds herself with horrible people.. I felt awful watching Lisa be basically someone to laugh at.

Yes they did. They had chores... Both parents working I needed help with a maid. But my kids did do chores and dishes and laundry, but we did have a maid so we could enjoy our weekends with the kids when we weren't working!

There are different types of rude, the big lady, whose name I cannot remember, was being cocky, but Sam’s friends were being outright devious and bitchy, especially the Italian looking one with the long black hair = very very nasty characters.

I really didn't see her as rude. She seems like she is very matter of fact and honest about things. What was rude was when they asked her about her trailer, like wtf. Just because she doesn't live in a neighborhood with each house looking the exact same doesn't mean she lives in a trailer.
I think Lisa's intention was to try and help the family and show her way of life but she went about it the wrong way being too vocal about it, especially with the very different social boundaries she has. She's very outspoken and was too pushy with wanting things the way she lives without giving the cali family a chance. Although I will say the husband and neighbors weren't very open from the start and were pretty snobby regardless if she was mean or not. Sam was really nice compared to her friends.
Wow this episode is eye opening for me. Goes to show you that life manifest what you want/ask for. You are the creator. You’d assume anyone would kill for that Cali view but nah. Lisa didn’t feel the same way. It’s not to say she’s ungrateful. We all just have different our personal wants and needs. As for me. after watching this, I will strive my best to think positive like Samantha. I really want the best in life.
Please, do not be stupid - sure it is good to have a positive attitude, but there is no magic, your beliefs alone do jack shiat. Sam can think like she does because she is well off, she can dream of going to Greece and pay for a ticket, because she has the money to do stuff like that. There is no power in wishful thinking, but there is power in determination and desire to achieve a goal.

Samantha and her husband eventually separated/divorced and she started dating someone else. I was friends with her on facebook for a while. Samantha isn't a bad person, she was wonderful to those kids and she made good use of the money so the Bowers would have a better life. Samantha is a little snooty (snobbish) for sure, but so would many of us be if we lived amongst the highly conceited OC crowd.

Samantha was so sweet to the new family, and especially those kids. She put a lot of effort and love into caring for those kids, and they really responded to that. I kind of feel bad for Lisa, because she doesn't get any of the love and care that she obviously wants - but it's all her own doing, because she is rude, uncaring, and self-centered. It broke my heart a little when they were reading the letter from Samantha and everyone laughed when she wrote about how sweet Eric is. He is a very sweet boy, who puts on that harsh exterior because of the family dynamic.

When she was talking about their houses she was just joking around to ease the atmosphere, and they just got defensive, not her. With the kids all she was trying to do was encourage in again, a blunt way which they weren't used to. She is perhaps not the smartest in this regard, but the husband at least should've known better.and explained that to the kids.

Just had this forwarded to me! Hi all, Im Samantha Pilek, now know as Samantha Heart. So here is the inside scoop on this show that we filmed 17 years ago! OMG, I can't believe its been 17 years. So obviously this is producer driven. The truth is I am not a snob and I worked very hard to get where I was. My kids are not snobs either. They were very shy and incredibly boared during this week of filming. It was up to us Moms to try make the most of the week. I think I did a good job of that. Maybe Lisa struggled more and she was obviously very different from me as far as how she speaks to her kids. The first day of filming after my first interview I quit the show. I told the producers of Fox that they had the wrong person for this show and that I would not be the person they wanted me to be.They wanted me to make fun of the kids and the family and how they lived. I refused. In the end they agreed to my demands. I guess Lisa had to be the bad guy. But clearly it wasn't too much of a stretch. lol Her kids were so sweet and so was Craig. I enjoyed my time. After we got our checks Lisa reached out to me and sent me a long letter that was very kind and sweet and thanked me for what I tried to do while there and said they were trying to change some bad habits. My Katie is still in touch with Lisa sometimes on social media. I am divorced, yes! I actually remarried for 6 years- but was a shot gun weding to a great Italian man, but in the end not good for the long haul of life sad to say. So I am single again! Katie is an amazing singer- check out her soundcloud- KatieHeartMusic and her instagram. She may or may not become a singer , but she has a beautiful voice and is following many passions. I don’t think being a “larger girl” 🙄 has anything to do with dressing or being feminine. Seemed like she dressed that way because she was comfortable that way! I have a daughter who is 5-6 and about 115 lbs and she has always dressed in jeans and a hoodie or more recently leggings and a long shirt or sweatshirt. So she’s a “smaller girl” yet doesn’t chose to dress any differently than Lisa’s Katie. We have curvier friends who always wear dresses or nicer shirts and slacks and look not only extremely well put together but feminine and even sexy. So weight has nothing to do with it.
Whether she’s 100 lbs or 500 lbs Katie should wear what makes her feel good!

The daughter is at that awkward phase between being a kid and becoming a teen. One thing I will say about my parents is they never really forced clothes on me or put me down for what I wore (unless it was like for church or something). I got into punk rock when I was like 15 and my parents were like dress however you want but you’re buying the clothes so I got a job

Craig was so nice and accommodating to Samantha. Those California neighbors were so rude and snobby. Jurek didn't try to introduce her to anyone. The neighbors made fun of her job then talked trash on her. "How big is your trailer? Here's to Sam in god only knows where...She's insecure, why wouldn't she be...you girls are beautiful" Yes, Lisa has a big personality, but I didn't think she had a mean spirit. I think Lisa meant well but should have been more sensitive to the fact that the kids were just kids. She could have asked them to help her with laundry or dishes while getting to know them better. Instead she just gave them chores without explaining anything to them. You can tell they thought they were just being punished for no reason and ended up resenting her for it.
Say what you like about Sam, she obviously had her biases but she was kind to everyone and was thoughtful in her approach and seemed to meet the family half way. She encouraged Eric to try other foods but ultimately let him order that burger. When she went shopping with Katie, she encouraged her to step out of her comfort zone but didn't force any of the clothes on her. She was also cool with her taking her scooter instead of running - which I think is great. Encouraging kids to eat fresh foods and be more active is not a bad thing. She didn't even delegate any of the money to a new car for the family, something she obviously valued but the Bowers did not.
I do think the beach scene showed that the Pilek kids and (ex)husband could stand to learn some manners wtf. Who doesn't offer their chair to a guest?

I feel Samantha's husband is being mean because he has to deal with Lisa. Lisa just wants to tear you down for her own joy because she's bully.
I went in thinking that Sam was going to be the stuck up, rude mom and Lisa was going to be the cool, nice, down to earth mom, but it was totally the opposite!
Apparently they asked Sam to act stuck up and she refused and said she didn't care about the money and she would quit the show.
They were both unappealing.

Samantha's husband appeared to be very cold, detachdd and uncaring. I believe that if he were more welcoming to Lisa, things would have been a little better between Lisa and the children. I also believe that Lisa would have received a more welcoming response from the people in the community if Samantha's husband took a softer approach.

So I just saw Samantha posted on here… I can well imagine these shows are producer driven just like any reality show. We only get a very small glimpse of these families … honestly I couldn’t imagine a camera crew following me around all day nudging us to say this and that … it would be so akward. Heavens Sanctuary - I live way below my means because that’s how I was taught and went even further with it. If something is expensive in my home it was a hand me down and I save every way I can. It is because of that I was ok when I had a huge monthly medical bill increase. A month of one prescription was more than my rent but I could do it. I don’t just meet my needs I have all of my wants because what I want is realistic. When new insurance made medicine free, the money I was spending went to savings.

Both sets of parents had serious issues. Obviously the poor mom didn’t act very well, but Sam was just so judgmental, and I can’t even. I think there is something fundamental that you can learn from this episode. Samantha is obviously the more laid-back mother you can go to for advice, while Lisa is the exact opposite. But Samantha has lived an ESPECIALLY privileged life; she has the freedom to do what she wants and have these dreams and accomplish all of them because she has the means to. She does not stress about bills and average people's things like Lisa.. I do not think it is an excuse to be a bad mother, which I don't think Lisa is, she has way more to consider in life on top of her children. You can't expect a tired, worn out mom to be warm and forgiving all the time, especially when under financial stress.
And all I am saying is although Samantha is nice, it is extremely telling that everyone she surrounds herself with is cocky, arrogant, and rude, particularly her children. That is learned behavior.
AS WELL, the capacity to cook nourishing food that Samantha's family eats is rare and privileged. No, a family of four with two working parents cannot cook three meals a day, seven days a week that will keep their kids in tip-top shape. Its common to eat fast food, that's why they market them towards lower to middle class people.
ALSO generational trauma is SO COMMON; unfortunately, it seems Lisa's family has fallen victim to that. It is so hard to break those patterns when they are engraved into family structures

I really didn't see her as rude. She seems like she is very matter of fact and honest about things. What was rude was when they asked her about her trailer, like wtf. Just because she doesn't live in a neighborhood with each house looking the exact same doesn't mean she lives in a trailer.
I think Lisa's intention was to try and help the family and show her way of life but she went about it the wrong way being too vocal about it, especially with the very different social boundaries she has. She's very outspoken and was too pushy with wanting things the way she lives without giving the cali family a chance. Although I will say the husband and neighbors weren't very open from the start and were pretty snobby regardless if she was mean or not. Sam was really nice compared to her friends.

Her mannerisms and facial expressions are BIZARRE 💯 The fact that her name is Normi is so ironic; she’s the furthest example of anything even remotely resembling normal! She’s a mean spirited, condescending, petty person, and that’s quite evident later, on the yacht!
Samantha and her husband eventually separated/divorced and she started dating someone else. I was friends with her on facebook for a while. Samantha isn't a bad person, she was wonderful to those kids and she made good use of the money so the Bowers would have a better life.
Samantha is a little snooty (snobbish) for sure, but so would many of us be if we lived amongst the highly conceited OC crowd.

Sam is really sweet tbh. Yeah she's a little stuck in her ways, but most people in this comments section are calling her fake because she is well off and sometimes says things they consider to be "controversial". She isn't any worse than the Marvel lovers that used to come to my job during Endgame and would get offended when you asked them to please leave because it's past closing. She's honestly a lot better than they were...
Edit: Also Lisa and her family were just as judgemental and bigoted as the snobby friends- maybe I'm the only one who seen it though or caught the snide, little remarks.

Samantha was so sweet to the new family, and especially those kids. She put a lot of effort and love into caring for those kids, and they really responded to that. I kind of feel bad for Lisa, because she doesn't get any of the love and care that she obviously wants - but it's all her own doing, because she is rude, uncaring, and self-centered. It broke my heart a little when they were reading the letter from Samantha and everyone laughed when she wrote about how sweet Eric is. He is a very sweet boy, who puts on that harsh exterior because of the family dynamic.

@@samanthaheart3728 Poor Lisa. I don't see how she was that bad except with Zac. I have to admit I hated what she did to Zac with the baseball. She was trying to be funny but that kind of behaviour should be unacceptable. Her family was very into insulting each other for humour though. I didn't like the way Eric and Lisa's own husband treated Lisa at all.

Wtf, some of the reactions to Lisa were way over the top. It just goes to show how sensitive west coast yanks are by comparison to east coast ones. When she was talking about their houses she was just joking around to ease the atmosphere, and they just got defensive, not her. With the kids all she was trying to do was encourage in again, a blunt way which they weren't used to. She is perhaps not the smartest in this regard, but the husband at least should've known better.and explained that to the kids.

Cormac Mcquillan - If the Dad only lived in CA he probably didn’t understand. I moved from near Chicago, IL to central TX and people thought I was rude because of sarcasm. I was so sad. Apparently I mellowed because my yankee friends think I’m too friendly now.
Cormac I'm from the South , and here she would be considered annoying and rude. She has a very pushy, know-it-all personality. Trust me, you wouldn't be defending her if you had to live with her for a week.
