I had thought that when Colleen had the meltdown that she would make changes. She felt like she was a loser so I thought that lit a light in her. Sad that she didn't.
Heather deserves so much more. She gives her whole paycheck to her parents and they treat her like this at the end??? Her parents would be nothing if the kids left. They depend on the kids.
The parents need to grow up and stop going to concert's and start to pay bills my husband and I have gotten behind on bills to where they went in collections but we always paid our lot rent and we didn't get behind because of doing what they did we just wasn't making enough money know my husband is and we paid everything off that was in collections it was a lot but we are the parents. Mr Toothy is "disappointed that so much of the money went to the children's education". Says it all, really. I've been trying really hard not to be judgmental, but that just blew me away. I guess he gets points for honesty. :-/
Yah, Mr Toothy is an utterly useless freeloader. And Colleen slobbering to herself that she and that lump back home "are struggling right now". The "struggle" Colleen is because you don't "feel like working right now". What worthless 'parents' you are. I hope those two kids watched the show and saw with new eyes their mooching worthless parents and left to start their own lives without the parasites.
These are two of the most worthless people I've ever seen and they aren't even parents. They don't deserve that title. When Colleen was wallowing I didn't feel sorry for her I honestly wanted to smack her.
@Dani Ollie How can you not be judgmental? The Woopper parents are off the chart extremely rotten and selfish parents! so very ignorant about all their choices in life...booze, cigarettes, concerts, dog food, tattoos, all come before the rent and their children! If it wasn't for this show these ppl would all be homeless, their teenage mentality behavior makes me wonder if they haven't already been homeless in the past...How do you not have shame in asking your kids for money when both of them are able-bodied ppl, despite the fact that they don't take care of themselves, just another bad choice.
It was honestly terrifying to know that those two people at one point were raising small children. They got extremely lucky that the two kids turned out pretty dang good. But the thought of them taking care of small children and even babies at one point made me literally ill. That man especially is a horrendous person. He was drinking before he picked that woman up. Then saying he didn't give a shit about bills? How is he even alive still?
Some people are like cockroaches... they survive everything, and always show up when you don’t want em (ie when they think they can get something from you! Free food, $$, a favor, you name it.)

But didn’t you hear her say she’s doing it to be a good mom? by not working shes teaching her kids to take care of themselves. I really had no idea someone could be THAT delusional and not be embarrassed by…well…EVERYTHING SHE SAYS AND DOES
She DID realize how much the boy helps the Woppers, that’s why she wants him to move out and make a life of his own and his parents can/should help themselves more!
That family is straight up disgusting. They're lazy and sadly theyve taught their kids to be the same way. I think the daughter realizes that this life isnt the only way to live and wants more. It's hard to be emotionally strong enough to sever those ties, especially if there are good memories as well.

I think that this family did Ingrid an injustice. I truly don't believe that she was trying to put the oldest son down. She likes to stay active & healthy, it could get annoying when I was a kid when I just wanted to relax after school, but looking back I’m so happy she pushed me to do sports and exercise and eat healthy. I couldn’t imagine growing up in a family like the Wopperers
I grew up with a parent like colleen that depended on me for a lot financially and emotionally, as miserable as it was. It did make me stronger and make me the successful person I am. I wanted to make sure I never needed to depend on anyone
@Mj light right. That wouldn't make sense. Im sure they would have filmed the issue if she was given money and then told the kid she didn't have money. That would be a story line.
I looked up the oldest of the dancy family. he went to Dartmouth and was on the Olympic downhill ski team. The slob mom is probably downsized to a trailer and has even less teeth.
Just the first few minutes.... "It's not like I don't love my children BUT the dog doesn't argue back..... I wish the dog could talk." Yeah, but then you'd love him less lol Also I love Ingrid in this. I know from the interviews, he might have gone a little hard on her own son, but how she acts with that family... I think from all these "rich family meets poor" family episodes, she's the most well-meaning and even somewhat hands on of the "rich moms".
I would feel differently about the "poor" family if there was a reason for it. Like if the dad was disabled and unable to work, because that can happen. However, lack of motivation is not a disability. HOWEVER, I do think they need professional help. They are suffering from depression, and that CAN be crippling, but it is fixable, if you want it to be. There are people and places out there that could help them IF they WANT to change.
Colleen came across as *really* unintelligent and also thoroughly entitled: My son tells me to get a job but...yeah, that's something I just don't want to do right now. Of course not because she just keeps taking the money her kids earn. She seems pleasant and happy and yet she's using her kids shamelessly and telling herself the lie that she's actually a *good* mother by forcing her kids to be responsible with her own laziness and abuse of them.
Wow my jaw dropped at how they went off on Heather. Collen still does not get how her and her husband are slowing down their kids even as her son literally said, " I cannot do anything else bc I have to help you".
Having watched the whole episode I agree with what a lot of people are saying. But I think the larger lazy mom actually liked the other family and she thought the other mom was great until the son said oh the new mom was putting me down and acting like she was better then me. Then her momma bear instincts came out and that’s why she didn’t like the other mom because her son lied to her and told her the new mom put him down which was not true and I think the dad is just not with it at all he must be drugged up all the time
Her momma bear instinct? That’s laughable. Is that before or after they mooched all their kids money? Or wait was that before she yelled at her daughter and threatened to kick her out for being on board w Ingrid about having a better future. “Larger” loser “mom” a term i use loosely when it comes to her and the creepy husband ate both complete and utter losers. I can’t stomach people who treat their children so badly. Her only “momma bear” instinct was protecting her son and it wasn’t protecting HIM it was protecting the money he brings in.

Oh good lord, Mr. Whopperer... I don't think I've ever experienced with my own eyes an adult in such arrested development. It seems like his wife is a very kind, but maybe a little bit of a lost individual... But she seemed to grow a bit at the end of this episode. Aside from her giving her daughter grief for "betraying" her simply for being nice to the other mother and laying a ridiculous guilt trip on her when she has clearly provided a lousy example of mothering in life. But him? And those kids everyone was so grateful for how she gifted them with money to further their education, and the father is bitching because he didn't get more. Like he said, he wanted beer money. And not one word of being grateful that she offered to fix his teeth. What a sad example. I hope their young-adult children grew successful in spite of him. That young man should not feel like he has to carry his parents who are both completely capable of earning a living.

The look of disappointment on Heather and her dad's faces when Ingrid just picked apart their gift made me so mad, she needed to just be humble accept their gift and if something wasn't going to fit in her bag then take it with you and then do whatever when you leave don't just throw it away in front of them, be grateful, say thank you and be glad they thought enough of you to give you a gift.

Then they attack Heather for saying they don't support her? Heather should have said "Terry JUST said it too!" They go off like a little pack with their beers, leaving her. Heather SHOULD pack her bags and leave. I really hope she .made a life for herself. You do see faults on both sides though-- Ingrid was a little harsh, especially with the gift they took the time to make her.
Stupid pack mentality. Colleen and husband decided to turn on Ingrid because they knew that they couldn't afford to leave the son upset for a minute. He was their only source of money if daughter flew off.
I haven't reached the ending yet but I loved the part when ingred got her tattoo and had a good time at the concert! That was cool she let her hair down and just had some fun!
I sure hope daughter was sent abroad as a nanny. Some people end up living decent happy lives. Ingrid wouldn't be one to mislead or send her to unreliable places. I would work there and send money at odd times, not when they ask. I'd marry an Austrian boy and chill. The daughter looks decent and well mannered. That mother eats too much she cant move around, wastes money on crap, then gets uptight about daughter? She said she realised how pathetic and how wrong she conducted her life before she went back home. "I'll pack your bags!" Wow.
I thought she was super judgey. The first thing she said when they pulled up was “they live in a cracker box house”. She said she hated dogs, all animals and pets, and worst of all the way she acted about the flower pot.

Ingred seemed cold in the first 5 min of the show and her son called Colleen a couch potato as soon as she came in wow unbelievable maybe he’s right but that was rude
he said that while she was enthusiastically hugging her kids so im pretty sure it was sarcastic. also as someone else said it was a taxi so she had to hurry up and unload her stuff rather than wait around
The Dancy family has my utmost respect! The mother is such a caring person who genuinely wants to make their lives better as well as her husband who gave his new wife financial advice. That family is as close to my ideal picture of perfection as i’ve ever seen.

I had thought that when Colleen had the meltdown that she would make changes. She felt like she was a loser so I thought that lit a light in her. Sad that she didn't.

How the hell did those two disasters spawn an angel like Heather? My God I hope she's doing well.

I think maybe he got mad/defensive because he knows it's true as well, but he's torn because it's his own family. I've been in a similar situation. It's so hard to realize that it's your own family you have to separate from in order to survive or be successful in any way. It's hard to be emotionally strong enough to sever those ties, especially if there are good memories as well.
Yeah, he said it made him feel bad about himself. It's hard to have self esteem when you live like that. He's just defensive, which most people are when they are criticized, regardless of how constructive the criticism is.
@@Catlady-mw4en Right. I think that this family did Ingrid an injustice. I truly don't believe that she was trying to put the oldest son down. I think that she saw how he was shouldering all of the responsibility in the family and was trying to tell him to break away and get out of it. Somehow he missed the message she was trying to give to him. I was hoping that the mom would change, even just a little, but I guess not. There is still hope for the daughter.
Then her momma bear instincts came out and that’s why she didn’t like the other mom because her son lied to her and told her the new mom put him down which was not true and I think the dad is just not with it at all he must be drugged up all the time
I'm glad they used subtitles for him. Talks like a mush mouth.
Not that anything he said was of any consequence. Gross guy.
His brain is fried from all that drug use
Her momma bear instinct? That’s laughable. Is that before or after they mooched all their kids money? Or wait was that before she yelled at her daughter and threatened to kick her out for being on board w Ingrid about having a better future.
“Larger” loser “mom” a term i use loosely when it comes to her and the creepy husband ate both complete and utter losers. I can’t stomach people who treat their children so badly.
Her only “momma bear” instinct was protecting her son and it wasn’t protecting HIM it was protecting the money he brings in.
@@princessrockman9528 I’m late to the party, but I agree completely. I struggle to understand parents that feign concern about their ‘precious’ child in front of others, yet behind closed doors, they can’t even be arsed to read with them (disabling them educationally, effectively) nor cook a meal from scratch (making the child susceptible to chronic illnesses later on) a few times a week. Sigh ....
Holy crap! $300 a month for rent? In a single mother with no govt benefits and no child support and even I could afford that.
I spit out my drink 😂
Colleens face changed and looked healtheir after spending a few days in the fresh air, moving a little bit and eating better. well oxygeneted. i guess clean place for an asthmatic also made the difference
yeah she really did
I don't think she wanted to leave...she needed another 3 weeks! They didn't judge her much....they are such good ppl...they just wanted to help her!!! ❤️
It's because she didn't drink for a whole week. At home, she'd be boozing it up and taking shots
i cannot believe how much they rely on their kids for money, that is disgusting, then to flat out say ''i dont work because i dont want to work''. i hope to god those kids dont give their parents any of their share of the 50,000
The look of disappointment on Heather and her dad's faces when Ingrid just picked apart their gift made me so mad, she needed to just be humble accept their gift and if something wasn't going to fit in her bag then take it with you and then do whatever when you leave don't just throw it away in front of them, be grateful, say thank you and be glad they thought enough of you to give you a gift.
Yeah that was super rude!
to be fair, the “gift” (the only part that she left) was a dirty pot… why would she take that???
The son said, my dad and sister worked so hard to get that gift. Speaking on a $2.00 clay planter pot.... Lol.
I need that cookie jar thing. I wonder if he’s thought about writing a book? Like, it sounds so hopeful and practical.
Kathy Myers everyone who takes a business course gets this advice n its very helpful
I had to watch that 2X! The envelopes are great also!❤️
It’s the old envelope banking.
You have to put money,in the cookie jars, though. Those two lazy lumps wouldn’t put a penny in.
I am the Black Sheep in my family. And I remember going through things like a gang up on me by my family, like what sweet Heather goes through. It's wrong and abusive. I hope Heather got away from her family long enough to see her own potential and confidence to do what she wants to do.

I love the blonde mom accent. ..calm and collected. ..so organise.coleen and husband need counseling to get their act together. Unless they change, their situation would remain the same..lack of wisdom and heather should stay in touch with the blonde mom and she will succeed.
I wonder how they found these families? The huge lifestyle differences they have in each episode they aired always made me think that they must have sent out people all over the world to look for them, lol, or did they mail out something and how you responded to the questions and your opinion is how you were chosen. I can't be the only person who has wondered this... not that it matters it still cracks me up watching it and I would like to know where they are now.
I'm guessing they had on some website about a future show, each family sends photos and a bit about themselves , pictures of their homes. Then from there mix the opposite lifestyles for each episode.

At first i thought why is the "lazy mom" doing this show, she had to have known all the hate she would expose herself to, but then.. aha the money!!
🤑🤑🤑
So, are we all just pretending these parents aren't addicted and actively using?
Alcohol? I could not see anything else, unless you are talking pot?
Wow poor heather. Her brother Terry said the same thing pretty much "I don't have enough money for things I want because I'm helping you guys." Then they attack Heather for saying they don't support her?
How can she talk to her child like that? Poor Heather! I feel so bad for her. She needs to move out of that house as soon as she can
I sure hope daughter was sent abroad as a nanny.
Thank you Tinsel for these during covid. Like these for laughs .
It's like a modern day Al and Peg Bundy 😂😂
No at least Al worked and payed the bills
But al worked
They are like the real life Shameless crew 😆 Frank what are you doing on wide swap 😜
In Colleen’s case, WiDe Swap is bloody spot on! 😆
Ingrid is the shit I love her trying her best to help them get out of their hump and actually caring
I thought she was super judgey. The first thing she said when they pulled up was “they live in a cracker box house”. She said she hated dogs, all animals and pets, and worst of all the way she acted about the flower pot.
Heather deserves so much more 🙏🏼
She said she feels like a loser... yea I would feel like a loser too. You depend on your kids for money & you COULD go get a job and pay bills but you DONT. So so sad I feel horrible for those kids. That must be so stressful for them...
When she said "I feel like a loser" I yelled "GOOD" she should because her and her disgusting husband are exactly that, losers.
Heather is such a sweet heart! I’m very disappointed with the family after they turned on their daughter when she spoke honestly in support of Ingrid. No I think Ingrid wasn’t wise in her approach with the son but for this Mom to rip Heathers ass for being nice, shameful! Very very shameful! She did better at her new families home and out in more effort than when returning home 🤦🏻♀️
I'm suprised CPS was never involved 😑
CPS let’s kids stay in Slab City as long as they have shelter, go to school and not being neglected or hurt they let them stay.
The kids were almost grown. When the lazy mom went shopping with the new son, and didn’t even have money to pay the grocery bill. She didn’t even seem embarrassed. The lazy dad begging his daughter for her $30 paycheck wow 😳
😂😂😂
I’m so impressed w Colleen being invested in, and trying activities with those kids!!
Mr. Wopperer looks like Amos Slade from The Fox and The Hound
Gabby H yes. 😂
💀💀💀 he does

"Diabetus" 🤣🤣 I've missed that commercial sooo much

@@StrawberryJam806 the what? Hahahaha

The lazy parents are clearly alcoholics. That’s a huge part if not the most important thing influencing their brokedown lifestyle.
Ingrids kids are gorgeous good Lord

hey thanks
I agree!
@@jessiedancy8307 you guys are raised well. Good for your mom 👍🏼
@@Nattymatty7 you do know thats not tge actual person from the show but a fake account?
to the dancy lady congratulation, keeping the kids busy as you do keeps them out of trouble and functional member of our society, my hat off to you.
Ingirds husband said "did you miss us? I guess not" and when she first got home she just started unloading her stuff! I would have ran up to my family right when I got there!
It's a taxi hired by the show so, first things first if noone's at the door.
Cookie jar experience and her responses had me dyinngggggg 😂
The fact that the dad really thought he helped her make me crack tf up, I felt a little bad for him lmao
The Dancy family has my utmost respect! The mother is such a caring person who genuinely wants to make their lives better as well as her husband who gave his new wife financial advice. That family is as close to my ideal picture of perfection as i’ve ever seen.
Nah the father’s judgmental comments about Colleen going to gigs and drinking wound me up. He was like “Why should I take any advice from HER?” Well, smartarse, because wisdom comes in many forms and different people have a lot to offer; don’t reduce them down to meaningless because of how they have fun. Colleen was right about the oldest son and was the only one to make the poor kid smile.
@@clothilde1623she wasn't judge by "how she has fun" but by how she lived her whole life. Bumming off her kids, and wasting what she has in herself. She has no wisdom
