Purdy Jumbo Mini Roller Frame and Colossus Sleeve review - Cutting in and rolling out

- Here I'm checking out the 12" Purdy Jumbo mini frame, along with a Colossus 1/2" nap 4.5" roller sleeve.
This roller frame is compatible with the Purdy Power Lock extension pole, and any standard screw end extension pole.
The rolling action is super smooth, and this particular roller sleeve gives an amazing finish with emulsion paints. And it holds a whole load of paint for super production!

Good system, you can actually attach a standard rad roller to these. Put the purdy 6.5inch over a slim 4inch standard sleeve. Candleman painter showed this trick.
2 fussy blokes 4inch are the business for finish, almost spray finish no laying off required.
Can ya take yellow part off that Purdy Roller and use Two Fussy Blokes Sleeves instead?
Little tip for you with a new roller wrap it in masking tape then unreel it I will take out all the bits
Nice one 👍
Good piece of kit jb your gonna give yourself a bad back bending down to dip and roll, extend your pole and you can stand straight 😉
It would be good if you could do a video comparing different types of rollers in terms of how much paint each one holds and the overall finish. I’ve mainly been using a medium pile 9 inch Hamilton perfection as standard and then tried a 10mm nap two fussy blokes microfibre roller sleeve the difference was incredible, especially with stand white emulsion. It’s as if one coat with the new roller is the equivalent of two coats with the Hamilton perfection.
Looks the business 👌
you need to give these rollers a really good few washes because it's polyamide fabric basically synthetic wool they do have a lot of loose bits.
Power lock is where you can just push it on the end of the Purdy pole then press a button to release
Cheers man
People always mention the 'paint pick up 'holding ability in brushes or rollers ...
Few seldom question the actual' release ' of the paint..which is the important thing when purchasing a brush or sleeve...
Does the yellow cage thing come off the end? If not, I screwed up...
Not that I'm aware...
I always put new sleeves in the washing machine Justin.
Cool, I'll give that a go, seems like a good idea!
Put the roller sleeves in with tea towels and towels not darks Justin
I would just take that yellow piece off lol
What yellow piece?
