Before commenting on Ore Eater and Excavator enchantment, please watch this video! It further shows why the enchantments are in fact beneficial. The same break time does not means it's not faster as there is a delay after breaking a block in Minecraft (something you've probably never noticed).

Golden hopper should really be added to vanilla Minecraft. You made a great point about how many different items are now in the game, I think that would really warrant something like this.

Tbh I think the second version of the “survivor outpost” doesn’t fit with vanilla Minecraft as well as the first one did. The textured roof and the stairs in the floor and the decorative signs… it all looks like something an experienced builder would make (which is exactly what it is lol)

Tbh, they are upping their game. The villages got much better, and fit with this design. Also the Piglin Bastion, while still simple, is a relatively nice structure. Imo the last old school structure was the Mansion, and the new sea ruins and wrecks also show an improvement in building quality.

@@arthemis1039 i agree that Mojang has upped their building game quite a bit. but for something like this to be officially added… it'd feel wrong somehow
for example, a lot of people use tripwire hooks to represent faucets in their kitchens/bathrooms/etc. But if Mojang added an official structure that used that same technique, it would feel like they were "endorsing" this unintended use of the tripwire hook.
i suppose the tl;dr is: it would break immersion

Add a “devour” enchantment for swords that satiates hunger when you kill certain mobs. First level has 10% chance of saving dropped meat, second has 25% and third has 50% chance.

I think you guys are missing the point. He requested mod ideas about mining/caves/exploring. The campsite and mining enchantments fit, but the hopper doesn't. The hopper fits under base/material management. If you use the excuse that "I mine gold, so it counts" then literally any mod idea would fit. Watch. "Make a new stair color for my base". What? I explored to get that wood!
The hopper doesn't directly affect exploring, caving, or mining, so it doesn't fit the theme, which was the point Archipelago was pointing out in their joke.
It's normal for MrCrayfish to be a bit off on his videos anyways. There's one video where he says he has 4 mod ideas to share and he only presents 3.

Many servers do not allow see redstone sorting because of how much lag it can cause if near farms and if many players have it.... Plus it is complex
Reducing server lag is one reason why I love the idea of it so much
It's not that complex though, I would debate the lag arguement as well, alof of other things will lag your server more. Golden hopper would be insanely useful though
@@HawkUnleashed 😂it is relatively complex for most players and it would definitely be not good for a server if most players attempted to have a sorting system. (Especially since many players tend to build farms near their storage space and so everything would be loaded. It is not good for servers that have about 10 people

The gold hopper should legitimately be added to the game. It would make sorting significantly better/more compact. Also, it'd give people more reasons to collect gold.
Also, for those who don't do redstone, sorting systems are way more useful than you'd think; not just for sorting items for storage. Sorting systems can be used to trigger secret doors, complex machines, in-game coding to a certain extent, etc. I'd be stoked to see this in-game.
Personally i think it feels too easy, it makes redstone less fun to work with. I think ilmango explains it well in his video about autocrafting tables: ua-cam.com/video/2_HL309IZ0M/v-deo.html

Should make a mod that has dead explorers in various biomes. Initially I thought just in the caves but it would be cool other places too. They could be searchable and would have various cool items (or not) and when you break them they provide bones.

Ore Excavator has a feature where you can break a 3x3 area, but it makes it really long.
That depends on whether the enchant stacks with efficiency or not. If you can get Efficiency V on the same pick with Excavator II and add on a beacon, you're gonna demolish mountains in minutes.

Make crack cocain mod, when you consume it you get max health, max hunger and a bunch of other buffs like speed, strength, and a new buff that slowly regenerates your health in a couple of minutes after consumption, but slowly u get a debuff called “addiction” witch makes it so that slowly get addicted to it and you need to consume it to stay alive, if you don’t, u slowly lose health, hunger and get debuffs like slowness and weekness, you also get a new debuff called “depression” witch makes it so your screen slowly gets darker and you character sometimes tries to kill him self. @@johnramirez2206 good idea! I was thinking of polling a function which saves your position to ram every 5 frames and it clears every 5 seconds. So when the bot plays back your death, it just shows your movement and interpolates between your positions in order to make it smooth. Idk how to handle mobs tho and other deaths
In case there will be another episode (it’s been 9 months) I have an Idea that I’d like you to create a mod out of. An elytra booster. An alternative to the rocket. Something that is unbreakable (or has really high durability) but has has to be recharged (via energy from other tech-mods or XP or whatever you can think of). It could have 4 modes: lvl 1 boost, lvl 2 boost, lvl 3 boost (equal to using rockets with flight duration 1, 2 or 3) or continues boost, as long as you hold right mouse button. This could be selected in a custom selection screen (no idea what key it should be bound to). I think the crafting recipe should require netherite.
One thing I thought about during the golden hopper section (I really like the idea by the way), the addition of a hopper that uses gold for a crafting recipe without any downsides sort of invalidates regular iron hoppers. Gold is easier and faster to farm than iron from what I'm aware, and iron has many more uses than gold making it a more valuable resource. To balance the recipes, I'd suggest adding a redstone dust or even a comparator to the gold hopper's recipe in reference to its filter properties; this would make it more expensive than the iron hopper but still serve its function as a filter hopper.
This is gonna be lost but I'm commenting it here anyway. Make it so rails can be placed upside down and on walls.

Idea: a mod with these dimensions
- your own take on The Aether
- The amid (basically a purgatory dimension cuz why not?)
- The void (not original but you can get pretty creative with this)
- The external (a dimension in between dimensions)
- The darkness
- The Omitted
- The Infinite Ocean
I love mods that add the ability to 3x3 mine. And this one was well done with not allowing ores and such to be broken if youre aiming at stone. However, I feel like making the time to mine it equal to what it would take individually defeats the purpose of the mod. I get that it makes it easier in the sense that you dont have to move around as much, but I think it should be about half (maybe 3/4s) the time, but do more damage to the durability. That way it is actually is faster, but it still has a price. So 1/2 - 3/4 of the time, but twice or maybe 3 times the damage to the pickaxe.
Although he didn't say it in the video he's said in multiple comment threads that the choice was to make it compatible with efficiency to make it a late game mod
@@caderidley2309 summing the breaktimes, then multiplying them by something like 0.75, is still fully compatible with efficiency and gives the enchantment a benefit other than "you don't have to move your mouse as much"
@@purrowpet high-level efficiency is practically instant mining anyway. with a haste 2 beacon in the area, that "you don't have to move your mouse as much" might actually make a significant difference.

I think that by trying to balance the 3x3 mining enchantment with time consumed makes the enchantment pointless as in my opinion the enchantment is to save time mining. Instead you could have made it so it would decrease the durability of the pickaxe by as much as it would normally by destroying every block 1 by 1. This compromuse could then later be dealt with by other enchantments such as unbreaking and mending.
I agree. or for the level 1, he could add up the time and make it 90% of the total, and for level two he could make it 80% of the total. So it still takes time, but less than just mining all the blocks by hand
It was not shown in the video, so I can't say for sure, but I would assume that using efficiency in conjunction with excavator would increase the mining speed.

Although since it ain't that much slower, it's still saves time, but in all honesty this would be mostly useless to have in normal vanilla Minecraft for ores (except coal and maybe iron). Would be useful for other blocks tho.

I don't really like how breaking multiple blocks with the enchantments takes so long. It does balance it out, but it's not as satisfying as mining a few blocks that break quickly. I think the pickaxe with the enchantment should break (itself) quicker instead.

@@wisfer3105 A few years ago, MrCrayfish released the program he used to make block models in Minecraft, to the public and made a section on his website where people could upload their models for any furniture piece they wanted. The top 10 most voted furniture models, were to be used by Cray to create a brand new mod called the Community Furniture Mod. The furniture that won was programmed into the game and given a use depending on the item, for example you had a classroom board that the same purpose as a sign. The problem at the time was that the project was a bit to big for Cray to handle, since at the time he had many other projects as well, so after the second month(10 items were supposed to be chosen every month) the mod was discontinued. You can still find the page of the mod on the website here: mrcrayfish.com/furniture-comm-edition , but you cannot download mod and if MrCrayfish reads this, he will most likely delete the CFM page on his website so take a look at it while you still can. I know I had fun with it while it lasted.

The golden hopper idea is GENIUS
I have a Giant idea, so your probably not going to do this, but here you go. So once you get a full set of netherite armor and tools, you use nether stars to upgrade the netherite armor to tier 2. mobs get tougher as you level up. you keep repeating this process until tier 50, every tier after, you use gold around the nether star to turn it into a gilded nether star. also, mobs get GREATLY tougher, and every mob gives you weakness. This whole idea is similar to Minecraft dungeons "apocalipsis +".
The fact that the enchants take the same amount of time as without makes them feel more like gimmicks than actually useful

@@limes_I Yeah but you fail to notice that he has just the excavator enchantment on there, if yu combine that with the eff enchantment than it would be really worth it. Plus for late game if you need to clear a large underground area you can have excavator+efficiency V+ haste beacon than it would significantly speed up the clearing
@@ThePLAYER1888 That'd still take the same amount of time as a pickaxe with the same enchantments minus the excavator. It'd only be faster if the group you're breaking is made up of blocks you would insta-break without excavator, which is an extremely niche use-case.
The time in between mining blocks adds up this enchantment just removes that time
Rubbish Can yeah maybe a total of like .5 seconds. There’s a vein miner mod and a few 3x3 mods. The only reason they’re good is because the amount of time it takes to mine isn’t decreased

Its actually op as heck as it is now speedwise. If you have efficeincy 5 and a beacin on haste 2, you instamine stone, and adding up a bunch of blocks you instantly mine results in you breaking 5 by 5s instantly. 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 still = 0
Henry Marshall insta mine is still not 0, it still takes time to mine blocks, it is just visibly instant. With excavator II, insta mine will look more like efficiency III or IV but no haste

I'm sure you didn't think of it, but your mods work together ; you look for camp, then you find the ore vein, you mine it with your new enchantement and you transport the ore thanks to the golden hopper

Filters already exist, and they are a very fun addition, imo a better ruse for a golden hopper would be to make it suck out things faster, and have it be crafted by a normal hopper + 8 gold, this gives more use to gold, can reduce lag a bit since you would need less hoppers for big storage systems and it even makes a bit of sense since golden tools mine faster
In addition to that, instead of a Gold Hopper just being locked and not locked,, the strenght of redstone connecting it would alter its speed. 0 would be max speed(2x normal hopper). 5 would be the speed of normal hoppers, 10 would be half the speed of normal hoppers, 15 would be locked

you can do that yourself with the twitch client. it's easy to do. i put one together for me with his mods and immersive engineering. just wish it was easier to add his fuel to immersive.

There's also lots of other mods that provide 3x3 mining, some in the form of enchantment (Silent's Gems) and some in the form of their own specific tools (Tinker's Construct). So it was weird to hear him say he was doing research on whether such mods are even possible.

I feel like the gold hopper would be like how a gold pipe in buildcraft works, it speeds up something travelling through it. So it'd push items through it faster than a normal hopper. Maybe a diamond hopper would do a sorting thing, as it does in buildcraft.
If you can't tell, I played a ton of tekkit classic so buildcraft is my favorite mod to reference.
I think a really cool mod would be to dye elytras the same way you can pattern banners. Maybe you can use a smithing table to put a banner pattern on the elytra?

Some mod ideas:
1:You can add a mod that makes a mutant villager or a villager on steroids
2:a lite gun mod that the guns looks like the arow they are 2d
3: a mod that re-ad rose
4:a lite mod that makes you can make any mobs figth each other

I feel like the achievement that makes you mine a 3x3 area is totally useless because it takes the same amount of time as simply breaking all 9 blocks
But with this enchantment you don't need to carry about moving your mouse

Yeah, it should have like a 10% -> 50% speed reduction. I think instead of 3x3 -> 5x5 for getting a higher level excavator, the time to mine the blocks should reduce instead. It would be a lot more practical than 5x5. Then again if you wanted this perk so bad, you could just get tinkers construct. It comes with all that, and more.
How does the "Ore Eater" works with "Fortune"?
Does it only apply to the ore you are actively mining or does it work on all of the ore mined at once?

The level 2 Excavator enchantment should mine out a 3x3x3 cube instead of a 5x5 square, since the original idea's purpose was for tunneling.
Personally, I'd keep it at 3x3 and just have level 2 decrease the block break time by 25-33%, and have a 3rd level that decreases it by 33-45% or 33-50%.
I know efficiency already does something similar, if not exactly the same, but I'd also say that a 5x5 Excavator II Efficiency V pickaxe would be ridiculously overpowered, but having no decrease in block break speed would make it severely underpowered, especially if you consider obsidian.
I don't know the timing or math exactly, but obsidian takes somewhere between 20-40 seconds to break, and the way Excavator was described, it adds all blocks' break time into the equation, meaning it can take up to 25 times that length to break a 5x5 wall of obsidian. That would be at least 9 minutes, if not closer to 15, and that's just not fun. Breaking a bunch of obsidian can be fun right now, because you get the catharsis of breaking and obtaining each piece before it can really wear on your nerves. Having to wait 9 or 25x that amount would just kill anyone's patience, and that's without factoring in creepers, skeletons, other mobs, or even being stuck in lava.
Efficiency V would be overkill, I think, while Efficiency II would be like the bare minimum needed.
But I don't know how to make a game, let alone balance one, so I could be talking out my composter right now.
