@@bradfordskeldorado Would you recommend buying a case with fans built-in or should I buy a case and nicer fans separate? Thanks again man. Subbed! My Victus has a 6600xt
@Shortyshrew I'm looking to buy this case to check out. It's a montech case that comes with 6 fans, 3 140mm and 3 120mm. This is a great deal for $55. This will keep cost down and I'm a huge fan of 140mm fans

Great vid bud! Very informative!
Thanks man!
Gonna do this upgrade and follow step by step, totally need a larger case with more room
Good luck and let me knownif you have any questions!
I have Victus myself. I've come to the conclusion that personally i think its not a great PC for what payed for ($500). But doing an upgrade like this, wouldn't it just be better to build a whole new pc from the ground up? I'm glad this upgrade works for victus owners but this upgrade almost gives me Ship of Theseus vibes.
ps you've helped me figure out a good gpu upgrade for my victus so I'm am very grateful to you.
Thanks for the feedback. It is primarily for those that have been asking what it would take to change the case so I figured I would make a video vs constantly answering the question in comments 🤣. I appreciate you watching and glad I could provide something for you. Let me know if you have any other questions! Have a great day
Thank you very much
Nice just what I need! im actually going to case swap this little monster soon thx!
Nice! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Muchas gracias ! Una pregunta cuando pones el disco duro del hp en otra placa base y lo enciendes de verdad no hay ningún tipo de problema? Iniciaría tal cual como se ve en el vídeo? Obviamente que sea todo compatible
My pc didn't have an issue but some people have seen their pc boot and say "login pin not recognized". You just have to request a change and they send and email to reset it. Other than that, it's an easy swap.
@@bradfordskeldoradothanks!!!!
Anytime!
NIce. I found this channel because of the HP Victus video a few months ago. Bought it, upgraded the ram to 16 GB. A nice little gaming desktop for $400, plays the games I play. Only problems I have, when opening games (from Steam) or applications (Spotify mainly) it causes immense delays in Firefox (causes buffering on videos, sites not to load) - Might be Windows 11 bug.
Glad to see people returning for the videos! Thanks for the continued support! I haven't see an issue with pages loading but I normally use Chrome!
hey i just got the same computer 4 days ago and its worth upgrade to 16 gb ?will that increase the perfomance in games ?
@doca2541 it will absolutely help with game performance! The biggest performance boost is the gpu but that's a bit of a bigger purchase. ATECH 3200AA ram is what you want to run to make sure you maintain the 3200mhz speed. I'll post the link below!
A-Tech 8GB DDR4 3200 MHz UDIMM PC4-25600 (PC4-3200AA) CL22 DIMM Non-ECC Desktop RAM Memory Module a.co/d/fcN7GyG
@@bradfordskeldorado the ram link you send should get the 16 or one more of 8GB to put together with the one I already have ?
@doca2541 I recommend just getting one more 8gb or 16gb to add to the existing one. You could order the two stick set but so you have a matching set but you would just have the extra dimm sitting around. One stick will pair with the factory one without any issues.
So did you put a fresh install of windows since it would have all the old chipset drivers on it etc or do you just download the new ones if so do you gotta delete the old ones?
I just did a bios update on the new motherboard after the install. It booted up with no issue. Just transferred the drive and sent it!
I have the same Pc but with an Rtx 3060 ti and i didnt have this issue for the first few months but now my Graphics card get temperatures up to 80 Degrees and i cleaned everything inside and the fan of the Card too. Would it be helpful to swap the case or just build another fan in it
I will say that a case like this is easier to upgrade parts and add proper cooling. This is if you already have the pc and was to spend about $300 to get it swapped over.
Might have to do this
It's definitely worth it if you have this pc already! Let me know if you decide to do it and need any help!
@@bradfordskeldorado im no expert on pcs but i want to switch my gpu, my victus has a AMD Radeon™ RX 6400 Desktop Graphics and i want to switch it with a Pulse AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT will it work or no?
The rx 6600 xt does work but if you're buying it new, I would recommend the rtx 4060. It's about $50 more but the performance is worth the extra cash
I'm case swapping my victus 15l into a jonsbo d300 case with a ASRock board. If I'm using the same m.2 with windows 11 on it will I have to reinstall windows or is it plug and play?
Plug and play. Just make sure youbhave internet because your login pin may need to be reset. It's a simple task but if you're using wifi and the new mobo doesn't have wifi then you'll need to hard ware it.
any other ideas for a motherboard? Thatll work with the rest of this?
Really any am4 motherboard is good as long as the case is the right size. Here is a good one for a good price. amzn.to/3TZEcXv
Would a 6750 rt fit in the original case? And im still kinda confused on why i cant swap the original parts, ik you said theyre proprietary but idk how that effects it
The size and shape of the motherboard with the usbs on the front will prevent it from fitting. I also, don't know if the holes will line up with a different case.
Also, the power supply from the victus won't mount in a normal case. The power supply and the hp motherboard are meant for each other so if you change one, you have to change both
@@bradfordskeldorado okay that makes more sense, in that case would i be able to just put a 6750 rt in the original case? Im not sure if itd actually fit i saw a video of someone putting in a 6600 and struggling to make it fit
I got a victus on sale for $250 at Walmart added a RX6600 and Cooler , I got another PC on the way , thinking about doing this and giving to my son .
That would be a fun project to do together! If you run into anything that I may not have talked about, feel free to reach out!
@@bradfordskeldorado will do! Thanks for the video!!
I did the same. Put a rx6600 and a deep cool aio. As well as ram. I'm having trouble with it freezing and booting wrong. And I only have call of duty on it. I've completely reset it and re-downloaded it so many times I'm so frustrated! Send help!
What size psu are you using? Also, what ram are you running
@bradfordskeldorado I'm using the factory 350w psu. Was told it would run thr 6600 fine. But idk. And i have two 8gb ddr4 16gb total
I’ve run into an issue when ordering the parts the power supply is not available to order in my area is there any other ones you might recommend
Where are you located? It should just be a typical pc psu. Corsair, evga, or thermaltake should be some good suggestions.
@@bradfordskeldoradoI’m in Europe and it only ships to the United States on Amazon but thank you I will look now!
Can you recommend another motherboard to fit atx the one you used is not being delivered for ages
You said it was a 13 gent i7 with ddr4?
@@bradfordskeldoradowould the ASUS rog strix b55o -f work?
No, that is for an amd cpu. If you need an intel you'll need something like a z690. If your pc has ddr4 ram then this motherboard would be good.
amzn.to/3UqnYWj
Does anything come with screws to screw the motherboard in??
The motherboard comes with a set of hardware. The case c9mes with standoffs to mount a motherboard.
what's the link for the cpu cooler you had before changing cases, also did you need to remove the motherboard and put a backplate or can you just put it without doing it?
The video is step-by-step and that's why I went with this cooler. It doesn't fit a normal amd motherboard mount and it's actually an intel cooler. The backplate is fixed to the motherboard so you don't have to worry about removing anything bit the old cpu cooler and installing the new. Hope this helps!

if i wanna switch the case but i dont know if i change the power supply because i want the 4060 in my pc
Is you change the case. You'll need a new power supply. The old one won't connect to the new mother board and will not mount in the case
First time pc builder here… I am currently doing this swap with the Asus mother bored. I am gonna upgrade my graphics card what do I need to do for the new graphics card? I’m going to a rx6750xt

I have a victus 15l myself and it has i7 13700 and rtx 3060 I was wondering if you have any suggerstions for how I could build an all white build by just taking over the cpu and gpu for around 300-500 I made a pc part list for around 580 but thats a little more than what I want to pay so any suggestions or tips to lower the price would be nice
What ram did your computer come with? So you want a white mobo, cooler, case and gpu?
@@bradfordskeldorado it came with 16gb ddr4 but I was planning on possibly buying dd4 32gb corsair white ram
@@bradfordskeldorado I don't need a new gpu my 3060 is fine and works great
Ok, i can post some links for a new case, mobo, ram, and aio that should get you going to have a white pc build. I'll try to keep it under $500
@@bradfordskeldorado that was what I was planning on doing I got tbe price down to 500 but don't know if I could get it lower
I like my Victus I7 13700 but I wouldn"t invest any more money into this locked CPU, due to lack of cooling, CPU. You might as well replace it also or just build another entire machine with what youneed in a CPU.
For the $ I'd prolly just slap a 4060 in it and call it day. It won't look as good, but I'd go with performance vs aesthetics. At 115 watts, you can run a 4060 with the original power supply.
Absolutely! I have a short testing the 4060 on this pc and it's my recommended pick for this pc. I have just had quite a few people asking if it was possible to swap it and what it would take. Realistically l, now you can get a @cyberpowerpc with a 4060 and 16gb of ram for $800 so it's a better deal than buying a victus and doing this change.
I thought about getting a case with a swing open side panel so I could still access the front USBs. 😂
@khoward1033 it's kind of odd how they would integrate that into the case and mother board vs having a hub and wire 🤣. I like the convenience of having the many usbs on the front but that can't be efficient for manufacturing over an matx sized motherboard. These are great pcs in my opinion but limited to upgrades lol
Hello I have a HP victus 15 L with the rx 6400 and the ryzen 5600g and I was wondering if I can put a 4060 in it can you can answer it would be a great help
Absolutely! I have a short testing the 4060 in the pc. The power draw is about 110w and is super efficient with great performance! The only thing added is to run a DDU (display driver uninstaller) to get the old amd drivers off the pc! Good luck and let me know if you have any other question!
@@bradfordskeldorado hey another question the graphics card I’m thinking of purchasing is the the Msi Venus 2x white 8gb rtx 4060 I just want to know if this card is compatible with the mother board of the HP victus 15l and if I’d potentially need anything else to put in the pc along side the card or is it just good to go out the box and I can just put in the card on its own
@KadeemHimself so the main thing you will need to do to run this is to install the card, run the pc, install DDU (display driver uninstaller from guru3d.com) and then download geforce experience from nvidia to install the new drivers. The pc has the 8 pin power connector so you don't need anything else! Hit me up if you run into anything else!
@@bradfordskeldorado could you please answer🙏
I did ^^
Can I use the stock power supply?
The stock power supply only has 3 or 4 connectors and won't work with an aftermarket motherboard. Also, I'm not sure it it will bolt into a different case
I am confused i did what you said but now whenbi boot it up it takes me to a screen that says choose an option and the options are exit and continue to windows 11 pc reset or shut off pc
Is it a blue screen? When you select continue to windows 11 does it take you to your login?
@bradfordskeldorado it said windows 10. But i figured it out turns out the hp victus M.2 was improperly seated in the new motherboard
@@mariomontana74 I see. I'm glad you got it figured out!
What case size would fit the build?
Just depending on the motherboard size. I would recommend atx or matx

Absolutely! That's a great case and a great price!
@@bradfordskeldoradoAwesome I’m going to do it soon!
what other cases could the hp victus fit
It's all dependent on what size motherboard you get. If you get a atx mother board, just make sure the case can fit that size. Most cases have a list of motherboard sizes it is compatible with
Hey! Do u know any orker cases that works with this pc, and is it The same steps then?😅
As long as the came and motherboard are compatible and it's an AM4 chipset to match the CPU, then you're good to go. Most power supplies are generic for a pc case.
Thanks bro!👍 Do u have any recomdations on cases that would work?
I'm a fan of NZXT and did a full review of the H7 Flow case that you can find for $99 but they also have the H6 that looks incredible for around $110. Most motherboards are going to be $100-$150 and a power supply is normally going to run about $70-$100 depending on size.

Realistically i would recommend that people sell the victus and use the cash (plus what they would have spent on the new mobo/case/PSU) and build a new PC.
Otherwise your just losing value by binning the crappy victus parts
Most victus pcs being resoldare very cheap so I can't see making money back on them. That's why I would recommend against buying one to do the swap. Now, the mother board and power supply have been on ebay for $100-$150 for the mobo and $60-$80 for the psu. Not sure how often they sell but that's an option. I just get asked a lot about can you change the case so I wanted to make a video showing that you can and what it takes. Thanks for the input man and thanks for watching!

This will support a 4060 and I am currently working on a how to series on building a computer for beginners! Primarily you need the 24 pin on the right side of the mother board and the 8 pin at the top left for the cpu. Other than that, you just need the gpu cable which will be an 8 pin for the 4060 and then the sata cables if you're running a 2.5" ssd or hdd. I'll try to get some in depth content soon!

does the montherboard supprt a ryzen7
Yes, the motherboard will support a ryzen 7. Just remember the cpu cooler options are limited, so bigger cpu can be more heat.
@@bradfordskeldorado will it surport a ryzen 7 5800x or ryzen 7 5800x3d
It would support it. The main thing you need to make sure of is that you're not pushing the psu limit. My had a 350W gold psu but adding a gpu would limit that remaining power availability
