should be fine, I have a similar HP computer but its intel based its even a tg01 model and i think mine might have the 500 watt psu and has dual 6+2 pin connectors or dual 8 pins whichever way you want to look at it) but the easiest way to tell if it will run a 6600(which is like 25 watts more power efficient and beats the 2060 in all gaming test , just look at the power draw of the card its currectly using compared to like an rx 6600(even though techpowerup says the 6600 is a 124watt card its 100 wats under full load on stock settings it never pulls over 100 watts)and it can be bought brand new for 239 from bestbuy which is like the biggest plus. also i turned up the resolution to 4k when he was looking at the side of the power supply and they only have a 350 watt one in it
maybe even the 3050, its better on power than the 2060. But if you see the 2060 cheaper, go for that
@@Bdot888 no, the rx 6600 beats both those cards and can be bought brand new for 239 USD
@@kyles8524 oh yeah most definitely. I overlooked that he put that on there. The 6600 or Xt would be the ideal upgrade to work on that psu
Thanks for the suggestions you two
I just bought a victus it has ryzen 5 5600g and rx 6400 with 8gb and 512 ssd. how well would fortnite, apex, and gta run?
Have you had good luck with it? I bought the same one for my gf to play sons of the forest with. Its runs it but not great. Have you upgraded anything?
I just love the RX 6600 for its insane value, but don't have the bucks to buy it though!😅
What’s the best hp prebuilt gaming pc under 700 or 600 please help me
Lol the trick on the boot device was you have to go into the bios and set the memory read type to AHCI...it defaults to raid for some reason. Yw
Has anyone done a case upgrade on these? Thinking of getting a nicer case that has better airflow, but I'm still kinda new at these things
Following..
As I’ve been wondering the same
I ended up swapping motherboard, power supply unit and case to an nzxt h5. Way better temps, but also way bigger. @@joeviolette823 I'm kind of wondering if I can take the case to a machine shop, get vent holes machined into the top and add a longer intercooler or some fans to push more air out
Toasty bros is the best tech youtubers fr
you might have to initialize the new drive if it is brand new
I was saving for my first P.C and was so excited then I lost my job and had to spend all my savings in rent😢. Id love to buy me that one day.
I tried throwing a 3060 12gb and it works great
I just bought one of these and noticed I have to run GTA RP like a snail. Glad to know my pc would be easy to upgrade down the line
Iv upgrade my hp tp01 pavilion with 500W psu rx6700xt and 32gb ram and cpu to ryzen 7 5700 I love it it plays anything on 1440p max settings I love it
I just got an AMD example in good shape fairly cheap. 5600G/RX6400. The 5600G is good enough, I have the 350W and looking at the power draw, even that could run a good amount of cards over the 6400. Added 8 more GB of ram, a 1TB HDD for older software and an EZDIY 120MM fan and controller for the side intake.
Now it has has RGB and runs cooler 😂 (I just rock a red color scheme there though)
Do you have any cpu options for people with AMD processors?
What Ram stick do you recommend?
do amd gpus have a problem with temperatures?
We got my lil brother a 3050ti Lenovo laptop for like 475$ very lightly used and I don’t think I ever could’ve gotten him anything better for under 600$ after the ram and storage upgrades.
You couldn't get him better for under 1000
Gaming laptops are overpriced as hell
@@lesouth03 agreed lol. I was trying to explain that to him and he doesn’t understand fully😂 I actually got it open box excellent so technically it was still new I geuss. I wanted to build him a desktop cuz it would’ve been better but buying monitors and all that was way out of the budget. Ur deff right we couldn’t of done any better😂
@@lesouth03 I put a sata ssd and new ram in it for like 75$ & the desktop equivalent of his pc would’ve costed us way more.
Love the RoadKill hoodie btw. I'm thinking of buying a Victus 15l with a Radeon 6600xt and the Ryzen 7 5700G. I don't see on the listing what PSU it brings would you guys happen to know?
How did you upgrade the storage
Can i buy just any ram to upgrade it or do i have to buy any specific brands?
Thats a very common thing in windows its your boot sequence i had the same issues you have to change to uefi
Helloo, new sub. With a 350w psu can i do the upgrade? Like the vid, or do you have 400w psu?
Great upgrade tutorial, I was surprised the PSU didn't have to be upgraded but was pleasently proved wrong. The intel F chips and the 6600 are both energy efficient.
I agree that the upgrade parts you used were as far as I would go, looking at the GPU temps in some of the gameplay it was getting a bit toasty (see what I did there!). The cooling is one poor aspect of the prebuilt that you can't really do anything about. For this reason any further upgrade would need both a PSU and case upgrade as well, in which case you are upgrading so much you might as well sell the computer and build a new one from scratch.
I own a Vectus HP L15 PC. Can I install a Ryzen 7 and the RTX 4070 or the RTX4090 GPU on the computer? Is it worth it? Also, is it advisable to upgrade to a 500 wat PSU? If so where could I buy one?
Hi Do you think a GTX 1060 would work in there? thank you i love your channel.
Guys are we change charger ?
What type of ram would be compatible with it
Are you supposed to uninstall the graphics drivers before you install a new graphics card??? I thought thats how it worked. I do not install anything graphics cards i just buy pre-builts so i do not know for sure.
Yes you do!
Mcafee who’s that Windows defender all the way 😅
What is the serial number for the PSU used in this system?
do you think a rx 6700 xt 12gb would fit
I customized the Hp Victus 15l is it good? It's a Intel I5 12400, 16gb of ram, 512gb of storage, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, 500 W 80 Plus Bronze Power supply.
What program do you use to show FPS, CPU and GPU %?
You guys nailed it. I have been on the lookout to upgrade my home PC (i5 10400, 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 450W bronze PSU) with RX 6600 only. U guys easily did it on 350w gold PSU, but my question is: will it run with my 450w bronze psu? Any suggestions?
I have nearly the same system and under full load it consumes less than 200w, so it should be fine (100w GPU, 60w CPU, 40w random peripherals)
I just added the xfx rx 6600 to a ryzen 5 5600g. I kept getting the black screen also ez led showed boot drive. I fou d a usb stick that i think was the right one for windows 10. Anyways after about 5 hours of no success i took a break for about 3 hours then it started working. No idea what happend but it sure is fast.
Do you think a 4060 8gb would work fine? It has a tdp of 115 watts
Is the 1660 super i5 Victus loud?
I have never used a driver uninstaller and have never had a problem even with running a nvida and a amd card on the same mobo while ethereum mining on my gaming pc plus it was a cloned boot drive... played games and mined at the same time.... I never had a problem that's why i have been scared to use driver uninstallers
Is it possible to swap cases ?
Next you should do a video where you upgrade the power supply and throw in the smallest 3080 or 6800XT you can find that can fit. Go to the max!
The HP Victus in this video has a proprietary power supply so it can't be swapped out for a higher wattage one, so throwing in a 3080 or 6800XT like you said is never gonna happen lol.
What is a windows 10 license for?
Is there anything I could possibly due for it over heating
Does the pc come with a sata cable for the hdd?
Great content as *usual. Keep it up...* Stupid autocorrect
