Any info on this feature: Both cameras can shoot in the typical modes at up to 4K resolution, but DJI also added a new dual-camera shooting mode that captures 2.7K vertical video with the tele lens and a second video with the wide angle lens. This produces a tight shot of the main subject that can be shared without cropping to social networks that prefer portrait orientation, all while the wide angle camera captures a full view that can fill out the edges when the video is posted to places that prefer landscape orientations.
Only thing I haven’t seen anyone discuss yet is the handling in gusty winds. I’m still on the original Mavic Air (sad) so I’m sure this is an upgrade in handling. But that timelapse at 9:15 was super wobbly… Thoughts?
Sold my mini 1 in February and just got the air 3 and it’s amazing . Only disappointment it the range in Europe . The o4 is fantastic I can go down behind mountains or houses and it never breaks until I get 2.5-3im away

Air 2s was good in 5.4K but because it was limited to 30fps in that had to do turns/pans/yaw slowly so did not use it much, anyway have not tried this one yet due to rain but it seems a good upgrade given the longer flight time and good wind resistance especially round them coastlines and wide-open spaces, one thing I did notice just when checking it out at home it did not show the 3 frequency bands just 2 is this because that only works in EU not UK or what?
I realistically don't think anyone who need higher frame rates for drone footage because everything already looks like it moves slow at the heights we fly at anyways. I have probably shot 4k 60 like thrice in the 2 years I have owned the Aor 2S so I can imagine very few people shoot at high framerates so in that regard I found that 5.4K 24/25 and 30 were perfect for me at the least. I prefer higher resolution over higher framerates.

i was take some pics from DJI AIR 3 for my client..ths was bridge picture so i was fkew drone high then take pics.. as we all know that Air3 have fix 24mm 1.4 camera so cam automatically set shutter 3500 i was set ISO at 100 due to harsh sun. but when i saw pic at pc so disappointed. Bridge look great in picture but VEHICLES who was at bridge was feel NOISY i mean throughout pic not sharp as i was thought can anybody advice solution
Why wait for Air 3S when you can wait for the Air 4S. I heard the 4S will use brain wave Ai technology to fly effortlessly. It will move before you think.
Air 3 has fan and the RC 2 controller has fan as heard them come on when updated firmware, have to be careful not to block the vent on controller which I did when resting it on my leg, has variable speed though slowed down after took it off leg.

Why the AIR 2s is superior, or atleast a WAY better value FIRST note: this is assuming a $600-700 air 2s with the flymore combo. I’ve bought tons of them at this price and it’s a very common price, may even get cheaper now that the air 3 is out. (You can get sealed ones for $800 even) 1: 5.4k 1” sensor camera, this drone is only surpassed by the mavic 3 MAIN camera, no one cameras on any other normal series drones surpass it. Yea the other camera styles are very useful but this is a overall value scenario, so it’s amazing 2: COST!! Not only of the drone, which is very affordable for what it is, but ALL accessories are way way way cheaper for this drone than any others batteries are $30-40 brand new on eBay uses either the old style smart controller OR the new smart controller or the standard new controller. Extremely cheap to replace the standard controller, like $35. This is the biggest advantage for it over the mavic 2 pro, as the batteries and remote and smart controller on that drone are 2-3x more for no reason, ($450 for the mavic 2 smart controller) 3- age, it’s a very new drone still and is compatible with all current software and Binding, yet is still affordable 4- BATTERY PRICE AGAIN, this can NOT be overstated, the batteries are freaking $30-40 new on eBay, like WHATTTT, 5- repairable for cheap, and still supported by DJI so you can get a “new” used drone and buy the Dji care plan for it still, if you get a newer one, just got one last week that was 12 days from the factory, got $600. Yes, the air 3 is a good drone, but it doesn’t fit any real category imo: -Cheap yet high quality is the air 2s or mini 3 pro or the mavic 3 classic -portable/travel: only the mini 3 pro is good for travel due to the
DJI disagree on their spec page. 48MP for both lenses: "Image Sensor Wide-Angle Camera: 1/1.3-inch CMOS, Effective Pixels: 48 MP Medium Tele Camera: 1/1.3-inch CMOS, Effective Pixels: 48 MP." Camera can be switched into 12MP photo mode for sure, but it's a 48MP sensor.

@@davidro77 5.4K resolution with 4x digital zoom gives you 1368x770px resolution compared with native 4k 3x optical zoom is laughable.. so yeah its much better
What perfection??? 1. High instability in hyperlapse, even Mini 3 Pro have better stable movement. 2. All damn photo and video have a LOT OF pink/magenta on sharp lines. 3. Moire is terrible, even with Sharpness at -2. 4. Details are crushed...try to film in field, some corn or wheat...all image is just wrong :) Forgot to add: Histogram is wrong, in HLG you get way overexposed, in Normal is crushing all whites and blacks as is Limited RGB, in DLOG is putting a lot of color in wrong spectrum, with tones of magenta.... Maybe will be fixed, but as for now, I do not know what drone you have tested :)

Hi, and thanks for the review, really good. However it didn't address a few things I was really hoping it would cover. These are: (1) can you address the concern/confusion out there about the sensor size downgrade? I was hoping to see some comparisons of photos shot on the air 2s vs the 3 to see if there is any truth in this. We all know megapixels is not the ultimate qualifier of image quality and the pixel and sensor size matters more. So is it a downgrade for stills and of course you also lose that 5.4k video? (2) The practicality/portability. The air 2s is great for throwing in a backpack and taking travelling. This looks much bigger and is 25% heavier. But I assume with the fly more combo and 3 batteries this is going to weigh a heck of a lot for International travel and take up a lot of your hand luggage. So is the trade off worth it? (3) The allegedly quieter operation, 81db. Does it make a real difference to how intrusive the drone is for shooting within legal height limits? (4) How does the zoom lens compare to using the air 2S lossless 2 or 4x zoom? As that was actually very good? Are you able to get a compression affect with the air 2s zoom or is that only possible with optical zoom? (5) Is the new controller option worth it, because the iPhone 14 pro can go as high as 2000 nits brightness and this controller is limited to 700 which seems low for use outside in bright light (the biggest issue for a controller IMO). I am currently unsure whether to upgrade because this almost appears to be a new class of drone with the extra size weight, and cost. Nobody has also mentioned that with the fly more combo this is a lot more expensive than the air2s was, especially if you take the RC2 controller. thanks a lot!

I still have a lossless zoom, if only say 2x, not fussed about better avoidance tech on a drone that's 2 years old, not fussed about an expensive new controller. Range - the air2s already flies well beyond what more people would consider legal/responsible. So really, comes down to the core purpose of the drone - great 4k video and still photos. Still not convinced that for most purposes this is going to be a big upgrade? If he has both drones some direct comparison photos would be really useful to see.

@@JoshConnectMedia I’ve rarely used active track or POI, because I’ve found it often loses tracking and it’s a bit of a phaff to set up the shot for anything other than filming yourself hiking or running. I did almost hit a tree once and I guess the newer version and side sensors would be good for this. But I’ve never been brave enough to try to film myself in a vehicle or on a boat using active track. Thing is, you’re gonna need the fly more combo as a minimum. Do you take Dji care refresh on a new expensive drone? Probably. you need ND filters (why they don’t include in fly more is a mystery). So then you’re looking at approaching £1500. Assuming I can get back £600 for my air 2s that’s £900 to upgrade which is a heck of a lot tbh.
Of course, there is NO power brick with the supposed "flymore" package. That is extra. So the whole "flymore" scam ends up being a no fly package. Marketing duplicity. 🤪
The biggest problem is without an adjustable aputure you will have to use ND filters. Ok so what? The two lens are different max aputure. Ok so what? Your exposure will be different when you switch between lens. Ok so what? You will have to either adjust ISO or land and adjust your ND filter. Super annoying.
this is a good point because a big selling point they say is the cameras are the same for switching between. But if you cannot easily lock the same exposure settings due to the aperture size then this seems flawed. Also the review fails to mention that you cannot switch cameras without stopping and restarting a video clip which seems a major omission in the software.
@@davidro77 I think the drone might auto-adjust the ISO to compensate when switching between lenses, but it would be good to know how this problem is dealt with. The image processing seems to be very different in this drone judging by what I’ve seen in other comparison videos.
Please Stop saying they both have 48mp cameras, it's misleading to a lot of potential buyers. Please be a bit more informative about them being 12mp with a fake 48mp capability . Otherwise, thanks for video, great stuff.
Nice drone but I wish you youtube guys would point out the elephant in the room. You still can't fly this drone anywhere near people or buildings here in the UK. A big point no one seems to be talking out in their reviews. So unless your out in the open countryside. This drone could be a waste of money to most
Hello to you. That you pointed out is 100% right but has nothing to do with the specs of the drone to my eyes! As 4 my personal point of view I am happy that to fly above people you need special authorizations and - in case - infor them ( as x regulamentation). You never know who is acting as pilot.....these dronies are potentially quite dangerous and I felt more secure with the new CE rules ( I am a pilot too) 5:56

Quick question… with the two lenses having different fixed apertures, how is a constant exposure maintained when switching between them?
The exposure changes when you switch lenses. Apparently Freewell have ND filters that compensate for this. 👍🏻

Also the review fails to mention that you cannot switch cameras without stopping and restarting a video clip which seems a major omission in the software.
@@davidro77 I think the drone might auto-adjust the ISO to compensate when switching between lenses, but it would be good to know how this problem is dealt with.
The image processing seems to be very different in this drone judging by what I’ve seen in other comparison videos.
Freewell has now split ND filters that makes it even.
ND filters and power brick ARE NOT INCLUDED in the fly more combo. It's a shame because the drone is pretty much unusable ATM without ND filters
Please Stop saying they both have 48mp cameras, it's misleading to a lot of potential buyers. Please be a bit more informative about them being 12mp with a fake 48mp capability . Otherwise, thanks for video, great stuff.
Nice drone but I wish you youtube guys would point out the elephant in the room. You still can't fly this drone anywhere near people or buildings here in the UK. A big point no one seems to be talking out in their reviews. So unless your out in the open countryside. This drone could be a waste of money to most
Hello to you. That you pointed out is 100% right but has nothing to do with the specs of the drone to my eyes! As 4 my personal point of view I am happy that to fly above people you need special authorizations and - in case - infor them ( as x regulamentation). You never know who is acting as pilot.....these dronies are potentially quite dangerous and I felt more secure with the new CE rules ( I am a pilot too) 5:56
