  • This video is an unboxing and review of the Delugs leather strap for the Cartier Santos wrist watch. Delugs is one of the only third party strap makers doing leather straps for the Cartier Santos quick change system. This video shows how to install the Delugs straps and I offer my first impressions. I compare the Delugs strap to the Cartier leather strap. This video was not sponsored in any way.

Thanks for that Burbinhard. I have the large Santos and got the tan leather and a croc black strap, love the blue look and will try this company out. Thanks again

I just received my new gloss blue alligator band from Delugs, and I love it. It fits perfectly and the deployment clasp is easy to install. As of September 2022, they have orders available and I highly recommend the product and already have ordered an orange stingray band.

Looks great. Thinking about getting one before they discontinue. How long did it take for your made to order strap to arrive?

I am also looking at the Delugs strap for Santos, how is the fitment at the lugs? I bought another 3rd party strap and there is some free play at the lugs.

which model strap is this? The "Pueblo"? I purchased the green matte ostrich and enjoy it, but looking to get at least one more and like the leather texture here

The leather finish is most similar to their “Waxy Thin” line of straps.

It's unfortunate DeLugs got a C&D from Cartier/Richmont regarding the sale of the patented quick release system. Luckily there's a 6month grace period before all sales of Santos straps from DL. If you want more straps, probably best to buy some before Cartier is your only option.

There are several places making them now. The quick release end links can be had for under $40. It will be hard for Cartier to stop the flood at this point.

I would expect better QC and would not be that impressed at the cost point. However I believe they have at the moment cornered the Market as the only company to retro fit the strap attachments. Cartier straps are great but are so over priced. Delugs Will have to up their game if others start to offer in the future.

Delugs straps are cheaply made craps in Vietnam by below minimum wage workers. Their cost is probably 20$ per strap. They managed to charged so much for low quality bs because we all fell for their marketing

There are other companies that use the Cartier Quick Change system. Seems like Vietnam is the place of production.

the instruction video sucks so much that when he cam to change the straps, his hands covered the entire screen and no where to find the metal straps.
