I love cats, and animals in general, but honestly didn't know rabbits were that smart and that affectionate. I had relegated them to the status of frogs in the sense of pet-ability. Obviously II never tried hard enough with one. Thanks for the education, these critters are really smart and social.
It's sad and honestly a bit frightening to me when I realize how fully a LOT of these other beings on Earth experience the full spectrum of emotional life... It's like we can just be so blind when it comes to how we affect others (fellow humans and animals). It might be best to err on the side of caution (pull back on the feelings of entitlement and make humble sacrifices where I can); gotta' keep an honest perspective cuz it's so easy to slip into being so ugly. Use it or lose it: Am I worthy of ANY kind of novel spiritual exaltation/power/responsibility or am I the same as a bacterium? If there is meaning to this whole 'life' thing, I fear the honest meta-dialogue I have with the source. "Narrow is the way, which. leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." "Do you hear and see the suffering beside you?" "Does the world made sense to you and are you comfy and settled when you have abundance while others were dying from a severe lack?" "I worked hard for what was MINE, OKAY!" "Well, let's put you in some other shoes next time and you can compare who has the rougher life..." "NO! NO, NO... NO... wait..." just musing :

Mikey is AWESOME & quite adorable. It is magically beautiful that you have each other! Thanks for sharing yours & Mikey’s story. I’ll be smiling for the rest of the day. 💜
Mikey reminds me so much of my cat. Right in your face when you're eating, doing something bad if you don't get their meal to them right on time. When your husband raises your voice at Mikey for chewing the carpet, the way Mikey reacts is _exactly_ how my cat reacts when I have to stop my cat from chewing my pen. "What? I'm not doing anything!" She demands to be petted, and in the four years I've had her she has briefly returned the favor about three times.

she's one of those humans who knows how to pet animals really well. no wonder he loves it. i would too. it's always interesting to watch who's all aggressive with the petting and the humans who are gentle... you can basically tell which would feel better to the animal (i mean, some dogs are fine with more of the rough stuff tho).
@@susannabonke8552 That lack of that awareness has always been a bit hard for me to intuitively grasp too. I honestly think some individuals lack that centered sense of empathy, where you can truly immerse yourself inside of others and their circumstances. ...And, evidently, it's a lot easier to exist as these individuals (you can fake most casual expressions/displays of empathy ultra-easily. So that's no hardship). (Of course, no behavioral emotional tendency is an innately negative thing. We really do need all types in this world. I just wish they would remember that the next time the empathy-deficient are judging others harshly.)

I have an Eastern Cottontail since it was a baby and he is Mikey to a T! I cannot get over this rabbit always wanting what I'm eating specially grapes & bananas. Peter (our rabbit) came to us via my cat, she found the nest and brought a baby rabbit (Peter) inside the house when she wanted in and placed Peter on the carpet Infront of the kitchen sink. I found Peter and placed him/her (not sure if sex our daughter named the rabbit) back in the nest but the mother rabbit rejected it so I took him back in and bottle fed it until it's eyes opened then his was able to eat/drink kitten milk on his own then solids. now after 4 years he's doing awesome. He has a time in the morning I call zoomies where he runs in the house. He is trained to use the litter box (his own) eats grapes and bananas he loves pellets and I make his a bowl of salad and loves watermelon

This fella is bursting with personality! I have a trio of free-range house rabbits all rescued from shitty situations (hoarders, NJ lab, and cockfighting raid)--they also are all treasured and a hoot:-) I love taking them into schools/libraries when I read my children's book "The Forgotten Rabbit."
My rabbit Pelico has the same energy. He always acts so childish. 2 years ago when we went to the store to adopt him, he was jumping all around the cage in excitement. When we showed him our house, he acts like a happy child. When we are watching TV, he always gets onto the sofa. He's so adorable, and when he messes up the house, we can't scold him, because he's so cute! All animals raised for meat should be raised to live 🌟
Mikey reminds me alot of a rabbit I used to have named Wallace. He was a Californian albino, and they are known for making great pets as they have a naturally loving nature. And love he did! Wallace acted very much like a dog. He would come when I called, follow me around, and when I would come home from school, he would run down the sidewalk to meet me. He loved everybody he came into contact with, just like Mikey. Wallace loved affection and loved to return it. When someone was petting him, he would lick their hands or face, just like a dog might. Unfortunately, Wallace passed away during my first year of college and it was very sad for me and my family. I still think about him every day, and miss him so much.
What a cute little bunny. He's so animated. I've never owned a rabbit but I think it would be fun to have one. My cat is a real diva I wonder what she would think. ❤️😊
If your cat doesn't have a particularly strong prey drive, a rabbit would probably fit in just fine. They have some cat-ish personalities sometimes, but unlike cats scaring them is a really bad idea. The smallest thing can give them a heart attack.
Oh My, that brought me to tears. I hand reared a baby rabbit and it was one of the most amazing relationships with an animal I ever had. My Beautiful Bunikins used to groom me from the tip of my toes to the top of my head and she learned when I was going out I would always take my keys and would run away with them. When her health began to fail and we had to go to the vet often, I always said to the vet, "Remember, she is more than the sum of her parts, rabbits are so much more than they get credit for" It has been 20 years since losing my Bunikins and not one single day goes by without missing her.
Very cool video, as a owner of a Awesome bunny myself, I can thoroughly understand and enjoy this ! You did wonderful in raising this guy, he has very sharp personality! 👏
I have adopted a bunny that was kept for breeding. She had to learn how to hop more then one hop. Once she found out there was a open door between kitchen and balcony, she hopped it again and again. She is super sweet and likes cuddling all the time. I call her and she comes like a dog. She is amazing.

But also raised for meat what about it it's good food
@@sleakseal2133 Jeffrey Dahmer might have thought exactly the same about you Sleak. Delicious tasty Sleak!
@@tonib.3016 Yeah true but his way isn't really benefiting us as a society if we start eating each other there will be little humans left and we as humans don't want that so we obviously are against this act
Eating animals however increase our chances of survival so we do it and save ourselves
So yes my point still stands, he is cute but also raised for meat because it's good food what about it?
@@sleakseal2133 I understand but eating animals kinda sucks because of how much they suffer from it. I'm guilty too so call me a hypocrite,I am. I will happily eat lab created meat exclusively tho when it becomes widely available. It's exactly like meat because it is actually meat...minus the suffering, environmental degradation, diseases etc.
Aww what a special little guy I'm so happy he got the perfect home.
I love cats, and animals in general, but honestly didn't know rabbits were that smart and that affectionate. I had relegated them to the status of frogs in the sense of pet-ability. Obviously II never tried hard enough with one. Thanks for the education, these critters are really smart and social.
Nah, they're on par with cats and dogs. Even in intelligence. Same with pigeons. They're pretty smart too. Just a bit below crows and parrots.
I’m with you. Same! Had no idea. I thought they were just very, very soft turtles.
@@siyzerix agreed my dog tried to run into a thunderstorm
It's sad and honestly a bit frightening to me when I realize how fully a LOT of these other beings on Earth experience the full spectrum of emotional life...
It's like we can just be so blind when it comes to how we affect others (fellow humans and animals). It might be best to err on the side of caution (pull back on the feelings of entitlement and make humble sacrifices where I can); gotta' keep an honest perspective cuz it's so easy to slip into being so ugly.
Assuming there is some meaning to all this, what is my soul rly about at the end...? Growth, understanding, divine mercy, compassion or merely the tribal base self?
Use it or lose it: Am I worthy of ANY kind of novel spiritual exaltation/power/responsibility or am I the same as a bacterium?
If there is meaning to this whole 'life' thing, I fear the honest meta-dialogue I have with the source. "Narrow is the way, which. leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
"Do you hear and see the suffering beside you?" "Does the world made sense to you and are you comfy and settled when you have abundance while others were dying from a severe lack?"
"I worked hard for what was MINE, OKAY!"
"Well, let's put you in some other shoes next time and you can compare who has the rougher life..."
"NO! NO, NO... NO... wait..."
just musing :
I have a bunny and she’s amazing. They get the zoomies like cats, and love food/pets as much as dogs. They will steal anything they can from you 😭
God bless you. He is absolutely beautiful. He loves and trusts you. He shows you by binking, zooming, sitting close to you, laying down and closing his eyes.
Thank goodness you rescued him, he's adorable, such a big personality, how could anybody want to eat such an intelligent beautiful creature.
What a lovely man! His personality reminds me so much of my little diva! Bunnies are big characters in tiny cute packages, it’s been more than ten years and there is still a little hole in my heart…
Love is an unbreakable bond :) You'll see each other again. Send your love she'll receive it :)
He breaks the sterotype of rabbits being "shy, quiet and fragile".
Despite his rowdyness, he still looks delicate. Perfect. 👌
A contradiction, come to life! 🥰
💔❤️🩹👼🐰
I recently rescued a sweet older bun and she does a lot of the same things as Mikey. I'm so in love with her.
Mikey is adorable. I never knew rabbits would be such a gas. Yes…like a dog. Thank you for rescuing him. ♥️
Petting my bunny right now as I watch this! Love my bun.
He presents training in 7 days. Each of 7 items are commands that he believes a dog should know. They are presented in part ii of the book ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxK8-VQWpYThx4IC6MiIvb6VS1ebTzzdxq . The parts of the guideare divided: part i know your dog part ii the seven commands part iii cures for 7 behavior problems. Each chapter presents a topic, a dog's story, and a "what to do". It was written simply and you can jump from chapter to chapter to review anything as needed.
Mikey is an adorable bunny 🐰 🐇! Our rescue bunny 🐰 🐇, Bruno believes if we eat he needs a treat, too! You have given Mikey a great home 🏡! Bunnies 🐰 RULE!
Rabbits are just amazing! Once you win their trust & their hearts they give you so much. Life with a bun is never dull either. They are so full of character & cheek.
Thank you so much to this lovely caring man for saving this beautiful fur baby! ❤️
Mikey is adorable. I never knew rabbits could have so much personality.🐰❤
This rabbit is hilarious. What a fun personality.
I love KIND AND LOVING STORIES WHERE PEOPLE ACTUALLY SHOW THESE TO THEIR PETS/BABIES. BLESS YOU
What a sweetie. He has a big personality.
OMG! He's so cute and adorable and thank you from the bottom of my heart for rescuing him from becoming meat.
He's fantastic! I didn't know rabbits were so playful and friendly, but he's got great owners (or should I say 'parents')! 🐰
I love that he was like “screw moving the blue cover!” and just lifted the whole puzzle toy to get his snacks😂 🐰 ❣️
Rabbits are smart.
That's what my little angel did. They're smarter than dogs and cats sometimes!
Mikey is AWESOME & quite adorable. It is magically beautiful that you have each other! Thanks for sharing yours & Mikey’s story. I’ll be smiling for the rest of the day. 💜
Mikey is so sassy! He has such a good life.
Omg what a personality he has!!So darn cute!
"What? I'm not doing anything!"
She demands to be petted, and in the four years I've had her she has briefly returned the favor about three times.
Mikey is BEAUTIFUL AND I LOVE HIM!!! Thank you for saving him!! You are wonderful people!! Joannie
This is so much fun to watch!! Thank you and Mikey also!!! Xoxo
He's obviously one of the large/giant breeds of rabbit when you look at him, but those bigger breeds do actually end up having more dog-like personalities. And a LOT of rabbits are just as... diva-y as him. This whole video I'm nodding and smiling because my English lop was very similar.
What an adorable bun! He's so lucky to have such a wonderful family now. He's super happy! I've never seen a binky turn into a flop before! 🐇🤗🥰
Hi Daniel! Mikey reminds me of my Curtis ❤
@@thecartercrew3725 hi! Yes, and somewhat our Loki too. Maybe it's because he's a bit larger? He's lovely! 🥰🐰
@@danjordan1979 great to see some familiar faces here. I'm still a bit traumatized from that clown a couple weeks ago.
@@thecartercrew3725 oh god, don't remind me! What an arsewipe! 🤬😡
@@danjordan1979 there's another one here now. Harsh Bhandari I believe is their name. I gave him a dose of my own rather dark sense of humor. He's harassing someone who lost their bunny last year!
Knowing that so many of this little creatures are living in tiny cages, waiting to become food makes me so mad. They have so much personality and so many of them aren't allowed to show how clever and curious they are. Seeing a bunny living such an awesome life makes me really happy. Hopefully you have lots of time together
At least we have thousands who dle like it should vs one who survive
Um, I don't know anyone who eats rabbit outside of their season or who raises it for meat, lol lot better animals than a nasty ol rodent to eat, that's not a normal thing, there's not like a demand for rabbit meat that sounds like some freaky meth head line of thinking, "I'll raise rabbits to eat so I don't have to pay for food and can buy more meth!"
@@lightpropulsionguy in the village I live are a lot of bunny cages where they sit and grow till they are big enough to eat. Neighbours had rabbits for food when I was a kid (and chicken and they cut of the head outside where my brother and I saw it when we were playing on the swing) but since there lives the third generation, the animals get names and an animal with name won't be eaten.
@@lightpropulsionguy
First of all you have to buy the food and bedding of the rabbits you raise so it’s not free food, it can cost even way more than buying at market
Rabbits are not rodents you |dIot
And rabbit meat is way more healthy then common beef pork full of fat and chicken and a lot of people eat that thing.

Mikey is a beautiful bunny! Rabbits are such precious animals!
Since there is so much animal abuse in the world, it is refreshing to see people who are willing to give unconventional pets a home. Way to go!
Ok, I have diagnosed Mikey's problem, and I can say unequivocally that he is really a cat in a rabbit's body. He acts just like many cats I have had.... right down to his personality. What a joyful little bunny. He is just wonderful. Jojo from Mississauga Canada
No, your cats just act like bunnies! lol
wow, I never saw a Bunny that had such a good and wonderful life!! What a sweet and special Bunny!!! 🐰🐇
Awww. Bun parents exist. We are here and you are welcome. Please adopt a bunny. You'll have fun and learn alot.
she's one of those humans who knows how to pet animals really well. no wonder he loves it. i would too.
it's always interesting to watch who's all aggressive with the petting and the humans who are gentle... you can basically tell which would feel better to the animal (i mean, some dogs are fine with more of the rough stuff tho).
Same with parents rocking the baby so hard.. never understood it.
A fabulous story and what a wonderful adoption .Beautiful how it all worked out :) He's adorable .
I LOVE MIKEY THE RABBIT!! I HAVE NEVER HAD A PET RABBIT BEFORE BUT HES ADORABLE. THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR PET W US. WISH U ALL A LONG N HAPPY LIFE. 🐰🐇😎
This is a great video. You folks are doing a great job of giving this bun a great life. So many people have no idea how smart, silly, personable, affectionate and hilarious rabbits are. I hope Mikey's video helps to spread the word.
Many thanks for Mikey's life with you. I've had 2 rabbits and they were wonderful loving pets.
Both of you are lucky to get each other. Amazing .
Thank you for saving him!! What a character.....huge personality!! Enjoy!!
Rabbits are the BEST! I had 13 at one point. Adorable video. Thanks for sharing!
I'm a dog person and never thought about having a rabbit in the family. But if I could have a "Mikey" I would definitely have a rabbit. Thanks for sharing 👍
I never had a cat or dog. I had rabbits growing up. Specifically I had American Belgian Hares.
You should open your mind
All rabbits are this way if they are not raised in a cage
@@johanroelse4062 cool.
I personally did not have a good experience with a house rabbit. I tried to do all the right things for her but she never bonded with me. I decided to adopt her to someone else
Must be fun having that guy hopping around your house everyday, what a cool story!
I adore how he throws his dish away when he’s done!💕 What a personality
Mikey has his humans trained, very well. So spoiled, but such a lucky rabbit.
Beautiful! The more I watch these kind of clips the more I understand that a life is a life, whatever container it arrives in.
hes sooo adorable when he sleeps and when he threw his bowl that was so funny!
i believe it is every pets duty and obligation to train his butlers, and Mikey has thoroughly fulfilled his obligation! Good boy, Mikey🥰
I've seen other rabbit 🐇 videos but this little fluff ball of energy takes the cake ! He's gorgeous, mischievous and extremely spoiled 😂😂😂 he knows what he wants and demands it! Too freaking adorable. 😘😘😘😘🤗😍
That is a very special bunny... very fortunate you are.
Oh my goodness! This little guy is a character! So cute and just loves attention! Thank you so much for taking such great care of this wonderful sweetheart! You guys are great fur-baby parents...
I have one bunny who is essentially just a cat, and my other bunny is a puppy like Mikey. He has a bad leg and can’t scratch himself so he will let you know he is itchy, show you where he is itchy, then groom you in return
Oh my god. I read that wrong. I thought it said "raised ON meat" not "raised FOR meat".
I don't think they can physically process the stuff. (That's what I read initially, too)
Ok wow thats pretty stupid tbh
Don't worry, I misread things all the time too
I thought the same thing
I feel you, I misread it too. Thought I was losing my mind. lol
Awwww he’s so adorable sleeping under the bed. He’s a character for sure!
Thank you for rescuing this sweetheart
OMG.. your bunny is so so cute 🥰
It made me so joyful just by watching him running around free and happy. Thank you so much for rescuing and giving him a great life. ❤🌹
So glad Mikey found such a fabulous home! He is one cool bunny! 🐇 ❤ 😊
I can't believe how adorable he is and loving and so like a dog__and he found the perfect home and family!!!
Wooow, mikey is living the life nowadays... he's gone from food to big boss bunny lol
What a cute little bunny. He's so animated. I've never owned a rabbit but I think it would be fun to have one. My cat is a real diva I wonder what she would think. ❤️😊
They can be potty trained like cats. They don't need to be in a cage at all.
THANK YOU, for sharing Mikey with us!! He's INCREDIBLE!!
Yakko, thanks for adopting Mikey. He has a great personality, is cute, and is fun to watch.
i absolutely adore this. i want a bunny rabbit so badly. i am genuinely emotionally attached to the species

“Bunnies have quite a sweet tooth.”
Understatement of the century from Charlie’s vet.
I have adopted a bunny that was kept for breeding. She had to learn how to hop more then one hop. Once she found out there was a open door between kitchen and balcony, she hopped it again and again. She is super sweet and likes cuddling all the time. I call her and she comes like a dog. She is amazing.
You’re so right he acts like a dog 😀😀😀
