Wow! I can’t believe how thick a lot of those pieces are. I’ve only been sea glass hunting around Lake Superior a few times now and though I’ve found quite a bit of beach glass, most are much smaller than that, or at least thinner. I’d love to find a thicker piece (especially in a nice color) someday. For my 30th birthday this weekend we drove to Lake Superior to hunt beach glass for a few days and on our final day there today I found a small piece of citron yellow glass! My favorite color is yellow. Birthday luck!

Hi, I just found your video and am completely blown away! I know it’s a few years old but I’m extremely impressed! I’m really hoping you see this message. My daughter moved to Eugene a month ago to start her freshman year at the U of O. We are from Iowa and are flying there the first week of November. We are only going to be able to stay 5 days. Can you recommend a beach closer to Eugene that would possibly be a good place to look for sea glass? I have been looking online but most beaches are 4 hours away. We only have 5 days with her and don’t want to spend it in the car the entire time. We just came back from a 10 day vacation in Alabama on Orange Beach. I spent HOURS every day looking for sea glass. Didn’t find a single piece. I found some amazing shells but no glass. If you see this and have an idea of where to go I’d greatly appreciate your recommendation because you clearly know what you are doing! Best wishes in your future adventures 🤘🏼

Here's a good web article about several good sea glass beaches in Oregon. I hope it helps. The best location I've found in the Pacific Northwest is Glass Beach in the Port Townsend area. So I always recommend this location. I hope you had a great visit with your daughter at U of O.

Ever traveled out to the glass area by kayak? Looks like it would be a nice paddle, ride the ebb tide from North Beach Park, then ride the flood tide back after searching.
Great pile of finds at the end!

Yes... we've talked of doing a kayak trip out to Glass Beach but it hasn't happened yet. I did see a family go out a few years ago and put up on the beach and hunt for sea glass. The tides will help you on the way out and the return.

Do you have any beach suggestions in Oregon I should try?

If you are interested in agates...I have many friends who enjoy agate hunting on the beaches south of Yachats and they say the beaches around Brandon, OR are also great. I know you will find sea glass on many of the Oregon beaches. This list has been recommended:
      McVay Rock State Recreation Site
      Lincoln City
      Oceanside Beach State Recreation Site
      Bayocean Peninsula
      Gold Beach
      Seal Rock State Park
      Moolack Beach

Thank you so much for the suggestions, I will have to try those places. Yes, I love agates and all rocks too. Love your channel, lol.
