I'm sorry, but i agree and disagree. When things are commonplace we tend to take them for granted. And we dont always understand that everywhere else is not like where we are. So, it is understandable that if you have plenty of choices that you would only pick the best.
That being said, I also live in an area where sea glass is non-existent, so to throw any piece away is jaw-dropping! I will take what I can get!

If I was mud-larking, I'd take all of the great glass, the ones you just dropped, they are beautiful. You could sell them, or put some around a flower pot for mulch. Gorgeous.

This is Mrs. E. K. When my son was young, we would go look for seaglass along the river in Old New Castle, De. in the U.S. The spot where we went has since been "improved" and I am no longer sure that you can go hunt there anymore. My son just turned 20 recently. I now keep several apothecary type jars filled, which I consider my treasure. Memories in a jar.
I only regret not dating our finds to document those memories. The colors are beautiful to me, almost better than any gem. The colors we found most where all variations of aqua, brown, white, and bottle green. Rarely we found cobalt blue in small chips and even more rare was lavender, my most absolute favorite thrill to find of all the colors. Your video inspired me to share and thank you for sharing with all of us your lovely finds.

I live on the Washington coast, moved here 1yr ago. I call going to the beach "going to the craft store". Your Mum's necklace reminds of the old mustard seed necklaces. Now I need to save some $ so I can come see your shop and all of it's treasures and meet you lovely ladies. My husband always comments on your close relationship....wonderful.

I was born in Kings Lynn 63 years ago. My Father was an American GI stationed at SKULTHORP. My mother was raised in Worchestershire. I was brought to America at 6 weeks old and have resided here since first we came. My dream is to do exactly what you two beautiful ladies did on tour beautiful day. Your finds are breathtaking. I am a marble collector so your marbles blew me away. I have a kiln I would love to gift to you both, but can't even imagine the cost of sending it. Thank you for the blessings you share. Your have no idea how much you increase my world. Big Big Love from Oklahoma, barb

This video feels magical... This is my absolute favorite pastime from my childhood whenever my family and I went to the beach back home.
I still do it whenever I visit but the pieces I find aren't nearly as softened or rounded! I love these so much for that! As someone else had said, I don't understand how you don't pick everything up, I have no sense of control either XD
I would absolutely make a trip to this gorgeous place just get some pieces and visit~
