This is like a parent of a kid with Autism's worst nightmare. People using his idiosyncrasies for their own shits and giggles while the kid relishes in the attention even though he is the butt of the joke because in his mind he finally has "friends". Fucking heartbreaking.

i met him a few years ago with a buddy of mine, we saw him as we were driving and yelled his name. he ran across a busy street to say hi and made us watch tiktoks that he made then just left on a whim. his smell was so goddamn repulsive that it lingered in my nose for awhile. he was running to god knows where on the sidewalk before we talked to him and when he left he just continued on running. 10/10 experience.

ikr, people say they don’t want another chris chan yet here they are
It's entirely possible he rejects the help and would require coercion to treat. Are we willing to do that?
I would say people follow him like they would follow chris chan, but people don't manipulate Josh like they did with Chris chan. I don't even think he really listens to people online. They mess with Daniel Larson though in that way, with the whole dating grace vanderwall thing
I use to think the internet back then was crueler back then, and that we would not have another phenomena like Chris-chan, where we documented every aspect of their lives out of morbid interest. I think I am wrong. The trolling of Chris in the late 2000s is much more benign than those experienced by Daniel Larson and Joshua Block. Instead of BlueSpike being the exception to Liquid Chris and Alec Benson Leary, trolls like Bluespike are the norm.
I feel bad for Joshua because he really could use help from a trusted adult or an autism center. It's concerning how often he just puts himself into dangerous situations without being aware of it.

I have no issue with someone on the spectrum having a social media presence but he's being taken advantage of by his fans and especially by Michael. I hope that Josh finds a community that supports him and gets him the help he needs. i honestly dont know what someone outside of his life can do to help him.
Bro stfu if he needs a "caretaker" as a grown adult he shouldn't have control of anything in his life.

as someone who teaches at a school for kids with disabilities, mostly autism, it makes me a little sad to see this video.. yes, people like josh are iconic and hilarious without even trying to be.. but they don’t realize how many things they’re doing come across.. josh asking for money for pictures is completely benign and innocent from his point of view. in his mind he’s offering a service that he can ask for money for. he’s autistic. don’t get mad at him :/
with the level of functioning that josh is at, somebody should be looking after him and the things he is doing. the sad truth is many kids with autism, going into adulthood, aren’t being cared for the way they should by the adults around them. parents leave, grandparents die, and these kids/young adults are left without the guidance they need to keep them safe.
I'm a lower supports needs student who graduated with an iep and yeah, this guy definitely needs someone watching over him. I know a lot from my time with the special ed kids and being one myself to say that.
Unfortunately almost all lolcows have 1 thing in common. They're higher support needs autistic people. @ianprescott7924 he's rtrded... what do you expect? the same we don't hold many animals for their cruel behaviour. we shouldn't have those lesser than us be held accountable for things they cannot discern. though, I might see the positive of bullying these people into "masking" whatever Rtard antics they are up to, and keeping them somewhat in line, but you can't expect them to act moral when it's less likely they can understand what's typically acceptable and what isn't..
And it's a fish, get over it
It is honestly
@@ianprescott7924 He is autistic though.
People with autism & adhd are more likely to develop addiction’s especially when it’s gone undiagnosed or untreated due to under stimulation (therapy or pharmaceuticals) easily leaves one open to be able to abuse substances like alcohol. It’s easy to acquire bc of the lack of legality around it, it makes your brain slow down or not feel like it’s attacking itself, it makes you feel or believe you’re grounded in yourself because everything is quiet and you aren’t scripting in your head or masking, thinking and overthinking each little twitch of your own actions or feeling every little fiber on your skin. I was coerced into drinking at 19 by a man a few years older than me and he dangled it like a reward since he eventually knew about the abusive circumstances I grew in. I stayed like that for years so much so that I don’t remember the ages between 20/21-27, and the year before last I had a psychotic break bc of alcohol abuse. I still have no clue how I’ve lived this long yet I’m only 29, I’ve been near death so many times but I’m proud to say I’m 6 months sober because of the help I got which came in the form of my younger sister support and compassion. Of course I had to want to change & put in the effort but just knowing someone, a single person would give more than a shit if I killed my self is what helped give me the strength to not push over that line to end my own life.
Having autism, adhd or any sort of ASPD & developmental delays while trying your best to function on a day to day basis is absolute torture. Withdrawals from alcohol are the equivalent of neuropathy you can’t sleep to the point of hallucination nor can you eat or move. You just shiver in place while sweating buckets and trying to breathe, it feels like dying.
Lol cow culture and channels like this that feed into it while trying to pretend to be an objective “documentation” of a real person who is only getting worse bc of the maladapted freaks who get off on watching people slowly deteriorate/enable him are the lowest bottom feeders that need to be rounded up and hunted for sport. Tom your channel is like your genes, extremely unfortunate yet somehow lucky to have made it so far to “evolve.” Between your awful cadence, lack of any literacy and the jump scare that is your misshapen Pillsbury dough textured ass face, I’m praying on your inevitable down fall 🙏🏾

its kinda crazy how such a fragile and easily offended community has no problem almost instantly turning on and bullying someone who is definitely not all there over a fish.
how is this surprising? you don’t know someone’s background just by watching clips of them online and regardless it’s a weird thing to do like no shit people would be put off by that. but it’s even worse that people just treat him like a lolcow to watch the trainwreck. It’s just sad and all around fucked up

@berserk1437 think about it, Bob was accused of helping Daniel Larson because they had an intimate relationship. If they were okay with it then that's one thing, but I'm willing to bet they genuinely aren't at the heart of it all. If Josh had grindr on his phone, it's either for drugs or he really is bi/gay.
Quinn is world of tee-shirt's bathroom assistant... he helps him hold the hog

"heartbreaking" is such an accurate description. Realizing that scenario is not far off is what really breaks my heart. He used to be so innocent, and I genuinely do not think he knows any better

I unironically think that lolcow watching has done more for public health than the last 30 years of PSAs, because you actually see what substance abuse does in a day to day basis, you see someone rotting in real time from a safe distance, and as such makes you think twice about your own actions. I remember finding him back around 2020 when he was doing coffee drink reviews and stuff like that. It’s been wild to see his downfall on life.
Hey! Thanks for mentioning. Josh is in trouble man.
Didn't expect Amber Heard to be a part of this story tbh. No bed is safe!
Ngl "Banned???? I don't have any instruments!!!" made me laugh
Keeps saying mainstream media but I’ve never heard of this guy or like anyone else “tik tok” famous. If you’re not on the app you do not know 80 percent of the people who are “famous” within that bubble and I am glad.
I went to school with this kid, it’s sad to see where he’s at right now with his addiction considering I have my own. He seemed like a great kid but once I saw his videos when he was licking the train floor and eating bugs I knew he went off the rail. It’s not his fault though to be fair. Popularity is a poison for sure and it definitely made him do things he never thought he would. I hope for the best for you Josh -from a pmhs drop out who saw nothing but good in you.

Between the autism and his mom passing when he was a young pre-teen , to his dad deciding to just give up on him, I can’t help but feel bad for this guy, even if he did stomp a fish. And even if he did become an alcoholic 😢 loosing your family is hard… but when you have autism it’s like you don’t even stand a chance to make good decisions and get over your hardships 😢😢😢
People with autism can make good decisions and get over hardships. Every person with autism is different this guy just got the short end of the stick in life.
@@thepearson9372 true I agree
its cool to see turkey tom getting less and less formal in his videos and putting more jokes in, i like it
That voice! This guy could do a killer cover of Ram Ranch!!
I started following him back in 2019 and it breaks my heart to watch him go from trying jelly fruits and dancing to something that I didn't even recognize.
Neurodivergent people are easily addicted to things. Like alcohol.
The circus stopped being in tents and starting being online
A friend and I met him at Penn last June and took a picture after seeing Avenged Sevenfold at MSG, he just said “I was on Barstool Sports” and then walked away. 2 days later another friend ran into him at NYC pride, he’s been really easy to notice lately with the captain’s hat, on top of the fact that he just wants to be noticed. Just like Josh I’m from Long Island, so on the train to and from Penn Station and around the city and on the subway my odds of seeing him are pretty high at any given time. You can really tell he just wants to be well known and it’s sad to see the way people have exploited him. I’ll never forget the first time I saw the video of him on the train talking about how his mom died. I truly hope he can get the help he needs sooner rather than later.
Why are people more upset about a guy stomping on a fish than people pushing a severe autistic guy into alcoholism. Jesus, I bet NONE of the outraged people were even vegetarian let alone vegan. This is just so horrible, society is severely letting this guy down. He’s beyond vulnerable, it’s fucking tragic. It seems people have no empathy for autistic adults. Horrible.
Yup. They don’t do their research of the easily susceptible ties of substance abuse and autism. This community doesn’t care tho. They’ll be the people who push mentally ill people to unalive and not even care either.
Josh spent gym class in high school literally chucking dirt and spitting out water bottle caps. He would also say the funniest shit lmao
it's terrifying/funny to see my old comment scrolled by from years ago in a video by you man. made me gasp and stop a go no fucking way. love the videos man.
ayeee! That’s cool! 😂
One day will be my time to shine...
i've been consumed by the world of tshirts lore since early 2021 and i can say that this is the only reputable doc/essay released on youtube so far
Im noticing this a lot. The internet loves making fun of people and people with special needs are especially vulnerable to these kinds of things. It's sickening honestly. Same with Chris chan. Only psychopaths would ever do what they did to him.
Honestly I like the your videos but making a video about this guy isn't the way. It's not necessary and he doesn't need more spotlight as is.
poor guy, the internet can be a cruel place
It's far easier for someone with autism to become addicted to alcohol. Speaking from experience, drinking was never a social activity. It's was always used to elevate mood.
Then it becomes a vicious circle. Drinking to relieve anxiety caused by hangovers.
No it doesn't
Lack of discipline does
I mean there's literally research studies proving it does @@SMCwasTaken

All jokes aside i feel rly bad for him, my drinking habit was almost as bad back in January of this year and honestly it kinda ruined me, the sad truth is a lot of autistic folk end up falling down the same rabbit hole we feel isolated and incredibly anxious about even basic social interactions and some of us realise alchol appears to be the closest thing to a cure for it out there and sadly some people never reflect on them selves and as shown here become highly dependent on it.
This whole LOLCOW thing is so upsetting to me. People feeling like they're entitled to endlessly torture disabled individuals, using their moral slip ups as justification... At the end of the day, those participating in this communal shaming are worse than those they target.
this is actually really sad to watch. I hope Joshua gets better.
Sometimes I think it’s odd that I watch Tom’s videos about the rise and fall of Zoomers I first heard about at the start of the video, but then I go back to pooping and ignoring my kids.

Ironically i can't tell of you're being sarcastic, but who would be able too with just words? , but still its ironic because I'm autusic myself, (but without learning difficulties like Josh does) but i can never get sarcasm, but to get to my point, what the hell are you going on about 😂😂? bro i still keep up with him on tiktok since he blew up and he’s gone down a horrible rabbit hole, i genuinely don’t know what his caretakers r thinking he can’t take care of himself
It’s crazy how his family can watch it all in real time and does absolutely nothing
His caretaker is Michael, based on this video. His father couldn’t take care of him after his mother died, and his grandpa just let this all happen. He’s flying solo and probably relies heavily on Michael for everything. I hope he is able to break free but I’m not sure if he has enough independence to do so
My buddy and I took the train down to NYC with him a few months ago and booked a tour with Josh. It was a complete train wreck. We just wandered around the city listening to him ramble about random facts and bar hopping. I think we went to like 5 different bars and the tour ended at 3 AM. At the end of the tour Josh just lay down on the sidewalk in a corner. My buddy and I offered to call him an Uber, but he said something about it "being fine and that he was going to be there until dawn." At this point my friend and I were the only ones left on the tour, and after a few minutes of trying to convince him to get a ride we just kind of walked off back to my grandma's apartment that was like 2 miles away because we were also drunk (nowhere near as drunk as he was) It was an entertaining evening but not worth 50 bucks for sure. Hope the dude gets help.
