" 'scuse me dear" Hilarious!
Love it when the Captain jokes around, he's usually so serious
This is freaking hilarious. They're all cracking themselves up and I'm laughing right along. Also, we say "Brigadier" the same way over here in the US as you do, lol.
I don't know about you, but I'm American and I say "brig-uh-DEER."
13:03 - the essence of most of Anderson’s videos summed up in one sentence.
Love your channel! So many of my gear selection decisions were heavily influenced by your videos. Thanks for all you do for us!
That delay is fucking beautiful. Probably the best thing I've ever heard in these videos.
That Floyd sound near the end is PERFECT with the tape delay!! Love it!
To much!!! Man do I wish I was able to come over there and just hang around for a couple days! Thanks for the humor along with the demo's.
I absolutely LOVE the energy in this video :D
That Brigadier pedal sounds absolutely amazing with that Hot Rod... Wow, it's blown me away.
That candy red on the strat is soo lovely!
That sneeze sound just made my day
Stick has the most hilarious laugh in the world xD And Captain's sense of humor is on par as usual.
Great video. Seriously in love with that flanger.
I could listen to Rabea play all day!!!
12:00 - THAT IS GOLD!! hahaha
LOVE STRYMON!
oh my god did anyone else catch that dig at rob at 15:43? hilarious as always captain Lee!
funniest review of pedals I`ve seen so far
Just ran into these guys at NAMM. what a bunch of stand up dudes. Very fun to chat with. See you next year guys.
I can't believe you didn't turn them all on at once! Great demo, really love Strymon pedals.
Strymon pedals are godlike. Especially the Big Sky/Blue Sky and Timeline. Had a Big Sly for a bit and it was the best reverb I ever played, however it was a little complicated for my taste so I bought a Blue Sky instead, incredible! Looking at the El Capistan.
You guys made me so happy when I heard Pink Floyd haha :) Brilliant video guys, very great overview and very entertaining!
I am not kidding. at 13:07, THAT pedal sound might be one of the best clean sounds i have ever heard ever ever. i am typically a mega distortion guy only but a clean tone like that, i would die for a year, to have that. and the chords that chappers in playing over it, absolutely incredible, i keep hearing wee noodling/random licks from chappers in these videos, he wont even think twice about it, but i obsess over them when i hear a good one. unreal.
Each one of these pedals deserve a demo. A brigadier is a one star general.
Very entertaining video. Love the pedals too.
chappers' playing at 13:05 is probably one of the greatest things i have ever heard played on a stringed instrument,
you guys have the best job in the world :)
Bought a timeline about 3 weeks ago. Best delay pedal ever!
Strymon is amazing!!!Rob great guitarist!!
That guitar resting by Rabea is just badass looking.
loving the phoenix shirt, rabea is my idol
That flanger sounds amazing.
the part in the guys hair on the right reminds me of a winding road through the rain forest with freshly downed brazillian rosewood trees...and makes me want a high end acoustic...
Laughed my ass off, nice review guys thanks for the upload.
I'd do terrible things to get my hands on literally any of Strymon's pedals. Seriously top notch stuff.
So far, the El Captrion interest me the most! Really a creative writing buddy pedal like what Rob said!
Rabea played some beautiful stuff through the delay!
Finally some Strymon stuff.
The Leslie had a woofer facing down into rotating drum, moving clockwise, and a tweeter, facing up into an anti-clockwise rotating horn. Neither speaker actually moved. The units they were projecting their sound into did all the turning. The Strymon Lex and the Neo Vent are the best emulators out there.
Strymon effects are very impressive. My friends pedalboard consists almost exclusively of Strymon, but I never could buy such expensive pedals
It's a type of delay made by through recording/editing with old recording tape, although in this case it's an emulation of the effect of doing so.
Hey, I love and appreciate all the demos you guys do. But, you forgot(or maybe didn't know about) the hidden controls. One of those is the reverb on the el capistan. From the strymon site, "Just hold Tap and Bypass simultaneously to access the secondary features. Your 5-knob El Capistan is really a 10-knob tape echo!" Just wanted to make sure no one was discouraged from buying one of these amazing pedals. Thank you again for your work to provide these demos.
Thank u 4 your vids, guys!
For longer reviews like this time stamps (in the description) for each pedal would be great. Cheers.
I lost it when he sneezed hahaha
that guitar he is playing is his chapman signature if i am not wrong . floyd rose and dimarzio pickups plus his signature on the back of the headstock
More vids with Bea please.
His playing is amazing!
I love the extra explosions =D
The el capistan has a secondary function which adds spring reverb to the signal, maybe the pedal came stock with that function pre-selected and that was the reason why it sounded like it had reverb. It can be turned off though.
Welcome back, buddy.
Love,
Your fans.
We say brigadier the same way you do, but yes lieutenant sounds different great video as usual
Wow, the vide looks like it has been filmed trough a beer glass. It's that yellow!
The OB1 in Nannas panties gold, lol !
He looks cool, too !
Rabea is a fine player - feeling and chops.
dans gone overboard with the explosion sounds in this one
In Finland too. However here we have lions as insignia instead of stars. I don't know about other contries but here if talk to a brigadier general (or any other general rank) you call him "general" not "brigadier general" but obviously on paper and if his not around you use the full rank. A couple of years ago the highest ranking female officer was a captain and we only have one 4 star (lion) general (or admiral) at a time and he is the chief of defence and second only to the president.
A brigadier general, abbreviated BG, in the United States Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps, is a one-star general officer, with the pay grade of O-7. Brigadier general ranks above a colonel and below major general. Brigadier general is equivalent to the rank of rear admiral (lower half) in the other uniformed services.
Very nice pedals and a highly informative and entertaining video. YouTubing delight.
You can get rid of the reverb in the el capistan by holding down both buttons and turn the knob in the upper left corner to the left or right. Rock on
Dan from Canada here... love you guys keep up all the great videos.
Strymon whom I just love should come out with a overdrive/ distortion/ metal pedal
+Dan Jack-son Too much already out there imo
Strymon came from Damage Control, who made almost nothing but dirt pedals.
Eroge Guy
Like the womanizer? lol must be a reason they are no longer in the dirt game
+Eroge Guy time line and glass nexus were two of the five pedals
Eric sin sinner okay
Around 18:00 Bea is playing some incubus! That's awesome! That delay is the best I've heard ever.
He actually has the Strymon Mobius, which has the Rotary effect and it contains the basic features of the Lex.
You guys do some incredible reviews. I love Rob's improv...the "porno" music in the beginning through the compressor....sounded killer. And the minor thing towards the end through the El Cap. Lovely. Without a doubt Strymon builds some WORLD class studio worthy pedals, and you guys did a fantastic job showcasing them. Keep it up
hell yeah playing incubus made my day 17:35 thanks bea
Awesome program
Funny how time will change your mind on things.I hate to say this but hear me out!At first I hated this two guys why I have no idea at all.But now I like these two guys a lot they have help me put together a few things for my guitar setup with out them knowing it lol.Yes I have spent a few bucks to do this but love my Marshall JCM 800 a lot.I built my own Telecaster Thinline guitar and it plays so good with all of my pedals I have some of them by watching these two guys here thanks guys you two rock!
You guys also forgot the "Additional" knobs on some of the pedals! That's my favorite part abut these pedals.
A brigadier is one of the four ranks of general, so you would call them a brigadier general or whatever rank as follows. B.M.L.G, brigadier (1 star), major (2 stars) lieutenant (3 stars) and then general (4 stars)
Awesome channel ♥ ♥
SHINE ON. YOU CRAAAAAZY DIAMOND
shine on you crazy diamond!!!! fucking amazing tone
Nice demo. Gave me a better clue of those pedals :)
I'm going to be picking up a couple Strymon pedals soon, and this video had a LOT to do with that decision.
I have the blue sky reverb, it’s amazing.
Coughed up a lung after watching the "parting of the cables" ditty...tff
Did I just hear some Incubus? Great demo, guys.
Rob has dad hair now (all good... We all have to grow up sooner or later) Rabea has lost a lot of weight. Awesome. And the captain looks exactly the same.
you forgot about the dual function knobs on the el capistan
You guys had Pink Floyd Nailed there!
He did. The guitar he is playing in the vid!
Freaking love you guys....this worth the price if strymon...
good pedals... nice vid too
Bea has the sneeze of power
"Excuse me, Dear" XD
Awesome one, Captain \m/
Cheers,
Robin :o)
12:02 - I had to pause to wipe the tea I just spewed all over my monitor...
On a side note, snorting iced tea can actually be quite refreshing on a warm Friday afternoon.
Cheers.
Strymon Orbit - The Incubus Pedal
Bora Kesal - it can certainly nail that sound. I was very surprised years ago to learn that Mike doesn't have a flanger on his board. He gets that sound with a Boss PH-2 (he has two on his board).
great vid
15:08
I would love to see a review of some good noise gates. It seems the built-in gates in most amps are a compromise between noise and having sustaining notes lopped off.. Being a single-coil lover, I'm sure Cap'n could set me straight.
Wish you would've run that delay through the send n return on the Amp. ...would've sounded so much better....
Amazing ad while waiting --- GAK! lol
That's Rabea's signature chapman. I don't think it's on sale yet
he has a shamanistic quality. I can't believe he's only 25.
Happy Birfday, Bea!
Please never start too take your reviews too seriously I think I might have just pissed myself.
Great reviews.
missing the blue sky also :(
They're actually good value for money when you break it down. Mobius = 11 (eleven) modulation effeccts, fully programmable. Try buying 11 pro quality individual pedals for 400 quid. Same with the Timeline.
I have the Mobius which means I wont need to buy another modulation pedal ever again.
thanks for the reply ,well you can sneek in incubus any time for me they inspire me the most
when bea starting playing w that orbit holy shit
04:44 what an explosion :-)
So basically if you wanna be an awesome guitar player you must have a non-standard haircut. Damn those fro-dos can play yo!
'fro-dos LOL
