I really dig Bea's playing and creativity. He has such a well rounded set of styles and techniques. always very interesting to hear him playing. would love to hear an EP of just his different playing styles and riffs with some back ground like drums and bass with out a doubt.
The STRYMON MOBIUS shares so many sounds with my old LINE 6 POD HD 500. I don't think I want to go down that road again. Kudos to Rabea who seems like a real stand-up dude.
One of the things you can do with the Mobius, if you aren't using it in Stereo, is have it either in front of the amp or in the effects loop and set that choice up per patch. I use this feature myself to move the Mobius before or after a couple distortion and boost pedals. It kind of sucks that you have to give up Stereo to do this (since it uses the Right i/o to create an alternate signal path), but I find moving the location of the Mobius more important than stereo for a gigging situation.
Those seats are epic! They must be like furniture warehouse or something. I think they represent great value for money as a timeless classic. (this is what happens to my attention when i'm watching a video and a totally unrelated advert stops me from doing what i'm doing in order to try and sell me some shite I couldn't care less about and if I did, like you, i'd go and find it for myself)
I love how the other guys from the band join in with different Andertons videos. Top job Rabea with this one dude! PS: Next time you guys go on tour could you please do a night in Oxford?
Ha, I just got home with my Timeline. And it is going on my pedalboard next to my Mobius. Awesome video with an awesome player and with awesome pedals.
Got a timeline. its absolutely awesome. Had it about 6 months but i'm still trying to get my head round it as its that vast what you can do. Well worth the money though.
I heard that Dimebag used that trick because when he did deep dive bombs with the tremolo the outer string might get caught under the bobbins on the pickups so the tape prevents that. I think Steve vai did that also. I've also heard very thin rumors that the tapes might help with feedback issues similar to potting the pickups but those only rumors.
FYI - Both the Strymon Timeline & Mobius are MIDI controllable, AND Damage Control manufactures amazing switching devices so you can control many aspects of these pedals simultaneously.. Makes these beauties much more enjoyable\useable...
Strymon are absolutely killing it. The chorus on the Möbius sounds better than anything on the market and the Timeline is very seriously probably the greatest delay pedal ever made.. I already have the Big Sky so with the other two I can't see what else I would possibly need!
they operate separately, but they seems to be a co-operation.. My DMC-3, which I purchased from Disaster Area Designs is highly recommended if you own Strymon pedals with MIDI capabilities!!
Been listening with headphones. I love those Strymon pedals!!! Before i order any of these pedals i have a question... Do i need two amps in order to get the best modulation shifting/ping pong sound??
"copious amounts of green", "bags of weed", "treeeeeees" Yeah I had a deep chat with a tree recently. It told me my destiny and vehemently disputed claims that any of it's parts could be described as 'tonewood'. Look, I know this guy who gets huge bags of weeds. So how about I send him up to you guys with a van load and you can give me some Strymons?
I know he does that but the reason why I just semi-mentioned him was that I'm not sure he does it for the dive bomb reason because I don't hear him do those too often. Also one thing I've heard why people do this is just because it feels better for the hands and fingers to play cause it smooths things out a little. Some people might also think it looks cool.
Re: Stereo? Straight in mono to the Mobius and out to the Timeline to achieve stereo BUT the Timeline is in the loop of one amp.......How do you connect this setup please?
Re: Mobius. I reckon my analogue modulation pedals are better than what it does. Digital emulations of modulation effects never seem to do it for me. I'd rather have a handful of analogue modulation pedals than a Mobius, and cheaper overall than £400.
Rabea...nice work - check out Pete Thorn's pedal board vid here on YT. He does some sweet swells where he brings the Strymon delay effect in and out...it sounds amazing and very useful for certain types of songs/phrases.
Awesome gear. So they have the Mobius, Timeline and Bigsky to cover modulation delay and reverb. Gotta come our with some sorta dirt pedal next. worth every penny. cheers for the vid

Bea,you have always been a huge inspiration for me.I admire guitar players who play both heavy riffs and soothing ambient soundscapes like you.
gay
sg . . people like you id have my brother pound violently into the ground!
For a moment I was thinking something was really wrong with my cursor (Bea's necklace).
Skyrim map marker. Go to Rabea's house to turn in your quest.
THAT PHASER WAS THE BEST PHASER IVE EVER HEARD AND I HATE PHASERS BUT THAT ONE I LOVE
Don't you mean those two?
Buskin Kef check out the empress phaser. It's mind blowing
I could listen to Bea for days on end. His playing is always so interesting and he just rips catchy riffs and unique chords all the time
If you want a wetter sound you're better putting it in the front end

We want more of Rebea! Very good guitar player! Get him on the show more often!

That "the dream" at 7:15 or so is amazing.
Nice to see more of Mr Massaad, such an outstanding guitarist.

Good lord. I’m glad you all got better at your video and editing over the years. 😁
Great tone and playing. Thanks for sharing, guys!
Rabea is such a kick ass guitar player
the captain's signal or hand motion for "fullness" was hilarious at 5:30. Very cool video.
Man that sounds good that two of my favorite pedals right there
The Pink Floyd at the beginning was killer.
It's like if chappers and the edge had a kid..... Rabea is amazing
Always been a sucker for Delay type effects, you can get a simple melodic chord pattern going and it sounds epic...
MORE 'Bea! The viewers demand it!
Is he playing an actual song at 4:05 or just improvising? I would love to know how to get that delay sound.
improv
Best sounding Andertons vid to date (Tech wise)
Bea has some very "Incubus-esque" clean tones. very atmospheric. awwwwweeeesome.
excellent demo..
Great demo of some really interesting pedals... Good stuff cheers ;-)
holy crap! they sound gorgeous!
Agree, it is stunning. I believe it is called "Quilted" e.g. Quilted Maple or Quilted Mahogany. If your searching.
That sounded Bea-st through headphones!!
Am I the only one who like the longer intro better? :) Really like the one with Mantra of the monkey lord in it.
Got a timeline. its absolutely awesome. Had it about 6 months but i'm still trying to get my head round it as its that vast what you can do. Well worth the money though.
this is sonicly amazing
DAT Tone.... That's amazing Bea.
bea you are an incredible guitarist
That phase made me buy the Mobius. The timeline will be next :)
"The heavy hench as.. *suggestive nod* " Lol loved it! :D
Very cool, he's a killer player!
FYI - Both the Strymon Timeline & Mobius are MIDI controllable, AND Damage Control manufactures amazing switching devices so you can control many aspects of these pedals simultaneously.. Makes these beauties much more enjoyable\useable...
The pickups are genuine USA made Seymour Duncans with an SH1 59 in the neck & a Floyd spaced SH5 Duncan Custom in the bridge.
Great demo guys, looking to replace my old delay and this is a candidate . That sounds like a bad cold you have Chappers. Hope you feel better soon :)
wow these tings really have some depth to them. you can even hear it on yt
Seems that most of Dorje also play in Toseland. First time I've seen Toseland mentioned. Worth looking into...
5:50 dat frodo!
Sounds good, over the last couple of years i've gotten into this spacey sound. If you listen to Dredg live it can sound great
The pattern delay at 11:38 sounds like something Portishead would do. Pretty neat.
Strymon are absolutely killing it. The chorus on the Möbius sounds better than anything on the market and the Timeline is very seriously probably the greatest delay pedal ever made.. I already have the Big Sky so with the other two I can't see what else I would possibly need!
Flint and Lex best pedals I own
BigSky w/outboard MultiSwitch....
it's a quilted maple veneer (a thin layer of real wood) in this case it's not dyed at all it seems
Right ignorance question here... Tape on the front pickup? What's it for? Stopping microphonic feedback or another reason?
they operate separately, but they seems to be a co-operation..
My DMC-3, which I purchased from Disaster Area Designs is highly recommended if you own Strymon pedals with MIDI capabilities!!
sounds great!
Been listening with headphones. I love those Strymon pedals!!! Before i order any of these pedals i have a question... Do i need two amps in order to get the best modulation shifting/ping pong sound??
William Turner the "ping ponging" definitely work better with 2 amps
With one amp you won't ever hear the 'ponging'; you'll hear double the hits as all 'pings'.
I think its just tape so during dive bombs, the strings wont get caught under the pickups, just like Dimebag use to do
rabea rocks yall! way cool!
Bea needs to do this video with the new Panama amps!
The Mobius is killer...the only thing that can touch it is the Eventide Modfactor.
Prep to spend copious amounts of green if you want one.
You mean they'll accept bags of weed in exchange for one of these?
Darryld1 treeeeeees
"copious amounts of green", "bags of weed", "treeeeeees" Yeah I had a deep chat with a tree recently. It told me my destiny and vehemently disputed claims that any of it's parts could be described as 'tonewood'.
Look, I know this guy who gets huge bags of weeds. So how about I send him up to you guys with a van load and you can give me some Strymons?
Darryld1 waht
Wtf
the day after you upload this, guitarworld uploads a video showing the strymon mobius modulation pedal....methinks 'tis not but a coinkydink!
From 4:10 was epic, but the whole video sounds amazing!
10:20 so damn awesome man!!!
want these pedals!
When the sound guy nods his head in agreement, it's good.
THE LAST ONE WAS INSANE
that's actually not a finish, that's the look of the wood ;) quilted maple is absolutely gorgeous
I have a feeling Rob is operating the camera.
The intro to Aeromancy is fucking awesome!
10.20
great overview
This is what Genius or Phil Collins needed for some of Maimi Vice soundtracks
Man that chorus sounds great! I wonder what pedal it is....................
HAHAHA closeup of Beas Fro. luv it!
The short intro freaked me out! I thought my video was skipping :P
Cool sounds but I like my blues!! Thx guys for showing us this.
6:25 that reaction tho haha
Care to share some of the presets for the Timeline? Sounds heavenly!
Rabea you're a fucking badass. K bye. Cap n Chap as well, also effing B A.
From Atlanta, GA
"The nice people at Pedal Power" hahahahaha
Mike Morgenroth my thoughts exactly . capt usually knows his stuff but he drew a blank on voodoo labs
yep he's playing it
Rabea, make more videos on your channel, pls and thank-you
sounds very wes borland/limp bizkit circa 97-01 to me, very lovely sounds indeed
lol the cameraman at 5:58
Woah. Thats where Aeromancy intro came from!
I'd rather have a handful of analogue modulation pedals than a Mobius, and cheaper overall than £400.
love his sound he gets at 10:30
I love how i see my Slash Goldtop at the very start of every andertons video xD
You should do a video on how to set-up a stereo setup like he's using here. A step by step dummy for us slow learners. LOL
According to Lee, Voodoo Labs are actually called Pedal Power. Interesting...
Nice bit of Pink Floyd at the beginning
Steve vai does do that. i think its on his Evo guitar.
Bea is a fucking wizard! So good.
I only know one amp with an effects loop the Fender Champion 100W... Could you please tell me others in that range? Thanks
Rabea...nice work - check out Pete Thorn's pedal board vid here on YT. He does some sweet swells where he brings the Strymon delay effect in and out...it sounds amazing and very useful for certain types of songs/phrases.
Could you use two modulations on the mobius at the same time?
jesus zavala no
That's the biggest downside I've found on strymon compared to eventides
I think rabea is a secret U2/the edge fan lol!
Awesome gear. So they have the Mobius, Timeline and Bigsky to cover modulation delay and reverb. Gotta come our with some sorta dirt pedal next. worth every penny. cheers for the vid
+ajsingle7270 they make digital modulation pedals.. why would they make a dirt pedal...
+Maxfield Stephens they could make a bundle making a pedal that has TS, Rat, klon, and many other drives
+Harry Souter Try Digitech
+Maxfield Stephens i know this is from ages ago , but strymon did indeed make a drive pedal
Harry Souter
Name it?
He has a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power Mondo mounted underneath his Pedaltrain. It's mentioned in the video, though. Will run you a good amount of cash. :P
ROCK ON
Very cool
Pink floyd, Shine on u crazy diamond.
