I didn't realize you could use launch control in 2nd. I'm curious if I'm able to on my M340i xDrive. Might have to do a Dragy comparison. I know launching in 2nd is easier on the drivetrain.
@@rkautowerks It seems a little early to say stock definitely can't hold 1,000hp. As already mentioned, Red Bull drift brothers already took the engine to about 1,050hp on an engine dyno (and seemed to think there was still more left in it). They did drop the compression a bit along with some head work. The only reason to drop compression was due to pump gas, so that wouldn't be necessary on E85. Sure, it's very different when a racing team is setting up an engine vs your standard person running the S58 on the streets. The case for the S58 achieving 1,000+hp stock seems more convincing than the case against it as of now. Not saying that will be the case, but it's just too early to say the engine definitely can't hold 1,000hp. Either way, I certainly wouldn't want to be in the first group pushing the limits and risking a $30k+ engine.
f80's seem easier to hold big drifts but have no grip off the line or in general. These seem much better in acceleration/track but a little less fun in the slides
This one is in mclaren 720s territory. Crazy
This is faster in the 1/4 on non prepped surface, would even beat a 765LT
@@benz9790nah 765lts do 9.4 to even. 9.2 on a good run
@@benz9790 No it wouldn't LOL you have no clue what you are talking about. 765lt runs at 9.3 second quarter mile you are stu pid omg

Christ that's rapid
Nasty!
What sort of race gas? 110?
How many hp and torque can this stock engine hold? I guess with a big turbo this thing can do well over 1000hp
Stock definitely can't hold 1000 hp
@@rkautowerks red bull drift brothers already hit 1000hp stock
@@rkautowerks
Does the trans need to be built for this power level or has your been upgraded for future planning?

Мощь😍🤤🚀👿
So a US tuner has cracked the new m3 but the new m340i ecu stil needs to be sent to Russia?
Our DME was sent to Russia for the unlock
@@rkautowerks sigh
Fuck me now I’m in the hole $100k
Sheesh 😅
Whats done to the trans?
You don’t need to do more than a xhp stage 3 gearbox tune
How much horsepower ?
We're estimating about 750whp or so. Dyno results will come soon.
Is this a first???
It is. Currently quickest G8x M3/4 on Dragy.
Downpipes race gas and piggy back or real tune?
Full flash tune
Я в ахуе от этой тачки 🔥😈😈
двигатель тоже в ахуе и ему не долго жить :) Ярко, но не долго.
As ugly as these G80/82s are, they phuck hard. I'm torn between a used F82 or wait a year for a used G82. For now, my 6266 135i 6MT will hold me over.

there also rare still so its a cool sight. Even though it might be ugly your def getting noticed. Like the supra kinda.
I don’t think they are ugly in person, I would definitely chose it over an f80, but it depends on what you’re after.
