The fine young man who hosts this presentation “caught some things [this time] I guess [he’s] always taken for granted.” His life’s central guiding principle has been that 6 individual pieces, not six priced units, define his identity and character.

Let's make a rapping video and theme it around their popular music TV show. Well done Chad. You're up for promotion."
As someone who has worked customer service and retail for a LONG TIME, I would have LOVED A FUNNY VIDEO LIKE THIS 😂😂 LIKE THIS GRANDMA JUST BE SPITTING LINES LIKE 😂
Watching this video makes me miss the mid-1990’s. Things were so much simpler. Almost no international or domestic turbulence. Everything was just business as usual. Then 9/11 hit and our very identity changed.
I have to admit this is kinda cool to see videos like this. Ames seemed to be a fun place to work in it’s time and they seemed to stress safety and educating their employees on retail 101. I have a huge appreciation and respect for retailers like this. It’s a shame they’re no longer around it seems like they were a fun place to shop. I give all my business to brick and mortar retailers I do not shop online and I am not a fan of amazon because they are killing our Jobs and infrastructure. We are losing a critical amount of our stores and Amazon is monopolizing the markets and they are cashing out on our strip communities.
When there were department stores and a lot of people working for that personalized service. In the last 15 years , you had to start a fire in order to get anyone's help
This is pretty impressive! Ames must have been doing quite well around this time because they used the most cutting-edge graphics, color scheme, and music for this video-although it was only to be used internally.
Even though AMES collapsed it was because they absorbed all the debt from buying HILLS which was settled with debt but AMES seemed to be a well ran company that educated it's employees in Retail 101 and A plus customer service. WALMART could seriously take a lesson from AMES in that respect. I think even Sam Walton is rolling in his grave the way his company is being managed.
UA-cam commentator “ParkourRhett” echoes the sentiments of a number of our fine commentators when he lets loose with the observation that this presentation is analogous to “Dan Bell.” What is the meaning of this association and who is this “Dan Bell” individual?
