2 yards an hour 😂, love you're videos, when I worked my parents Gold Mine on the south fork koyukuk river 450 miles north of Fairbanks Alaska, we ran 7 yard buckets every few minutes, I worked 11 weeks per year, 150k, was my pay, which was fine with me, even though our land assayed at 600 per cubic yard, this was back in 1982-87
@@outdoorloser4340 no, parents are deceased, my son passed away in Alaska in 98, my wife last year, I am retired living in Pennsylvania, I have many good memories, however if I was a bit younger, I know a few spots that could make anyone a millionaire in a matter of a few months in Alaska ❤️
I watch both the channel constantly, and I can easily say this is the best collaboration I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. I just wish Mr beast video brought more viewers to your channel because, no matter what video you watch I CAN NOT stop watching.
My kid loves Mr Beast. I enjoy him, but man i really love this channel right here and i have for a while. Getting to share these with my kid because Dan was on Mr Beast makes me a happy man. Thanks as always Dan.
Thank you for always being honest with your viewers. Been watching for about 2 years, and was lucky enought to talk to you a few times on your live releases
Dan....what an awesome video...great seeing you and Dad bonding, the enthusiasm, the scenery and the Gold....one of your best and I've been subbed since your school vid days...nice to see another video when the weather is warmer.
My mom and dad really fell in love with the Australian and Yukon Gold shows on our local programming. But those have recently been discontinued, and my mom has absolutely loved all of your and Jason's videos! Thanks for being such a fun and positive channel that I can share with my family.
I saw the same thing happening lucky the Chain came of or Dan would have been launched into the hole because I doubt if he was wearing the seat belt you have to wear them while operating or one mistake and your maimed or dead
Yeah, I worried about that too. I’ve seen a few machines topple over the years. Luckily no one was hurt, but it happens so fast. Definitely have to think things through before hand when working through obstacles, because once you jump into action there is no time to turn around…
WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO DAN! That was a mighty fine pan you ended up with! Incredible gold nuggets, with the best scenic view anyone could ask for! You are so blessed to have this claim; I am picturing monster nuggets in the near future! Great to see dad out there, too! I know he had as much fun as you did (other than the wicked cold). Hugs and blessings from Alabama ❤️
It's cool that you get to spend so much time with your dad. My dad is an extreme workaholic, even though he should have properly retired by now. He's so all over the place, it's difficult to align my available time with his so we can hang out.
It would be super cool if u put the time of day and the temp in a corner for us to know what ur doing better. Cold makes every job harder but also makes hard work less sweaty. Idk about working in sub freezing temps though
I can relate. Working on an archeological dig, with constant running water, on my knees washing sand and pebbles in the freezing rain were some of my most miserable days.
Hi Dan! Next time use the smaller bucket for the excavator. You’ll have much better luck ripping through rock. Also, use the stick boom, also known as dipper boom to pull your bucket back towards you always keeping bucket as flat as possible. Think 90 degrees to 45 degrees. Enjoy you much!
Lol the excavator is a beast to learn at first, but I’m sure you know now that now. After a day or two you’ll start getting the muscle memory or whatever and it’s a lot of fun.
Hi Dan, im a subscriber for a while now and enjoy your vlog.I hope you find so much gold, you'll need the machine to lift it. God bless you and all the best!
Good job man! Hey ,if you ever have to mine in the cold again ,you could buy yourself an on demand propane water heater . And you could have instant warm panning tub & with a hose and sprayer it would come in handy for de-icing the sluice .
He has a campfire already , and , running water . Just add a tap to run some through a coil of copper pipe laying in or over the fire , and he's golden . Works for thawing pay as well .
Breath taking place to enjoy life. My fave is lake county calif. Volcano, Snow Mountain and beautiful CLEARLAKE. Found alot of Moon Tear diamonds there.
That's so great to see Doug again. He does remind me of my dad. I'm glad you found your nugget, but if you want to up the efficiency of your plant take a blow torch to the nozzles and soften them up and squeeze them flatter. That will make the water pressure you have and jump it up significantly as its forcing the water through a more narrow slot. That should make the dirt pile at the back of the rig melt away (like Butter😉).
The pump might not handle that. The higher u pump up the less pressure u get at the nozzle. Restricting the flow to create more pressure can really slow down ur flow when combined with the elevation change
DAN your awesome, been watching you late of this last year ish and seen many of the older film of you even teaching 😂 but Learning so much, and relating to the passion. Though only work at a Bruchis PT can't wait for next spring. Would Love to help out in the future, meanwhile trying to research Spokane area terrain and see what I could find too, though haven't found much but black sand and tiny tiny possible garnets since 2017 lol...anyways, keep up the passion and thank you for sharing all you do!!! 👏and yes ur Dad is a beast for fixing that pump in a night !! Woo
I think I see a man who is putting a digger on his Christmas list. Great video and wow those nuggets! I love your channel. I am vicariously living out my teenage dreams of being a prosecutor. Sadly the UK doesn’t have quite the geology that you get to play with. I am a science teacher, and I use yours and Jason MBMaM videos in my lessons. Keep up the good work!
Dual joystick excavators r so much fun to operate when u get the feel for the specific machine. Almost feels like the bucket and boom is like ur hand and arm. So much fun to operate. Especially a mini like that. I do prefer a closed cab tho. F the outside conditions
Thank Dan! How do you not spend the day fishing? If I were at that claim..... I'd "figger" some way for the gold to mine itself while I wasted time...I sure hope it's fish dinners for you guys... Beautiful river!! Wish we had that in So Cal. I was shocked to see The A&W cup. We used to have an A&W root beer stand too but alas... Thanks again Dan and Dad for an awesome video!
Hello master, you are wonderful. Your energy is great. I have a question for you: Should there be quartz in the area where we want to search for gold? Can there be gold where there is no quartz?
I'm envious that your dad is still around. I loved all the adventures that my dad and I used to go on.
I'm with you. I have a greater appreciation for my own dad when I get to see people still enjoying time with theirs.
Me too
Meanwhile, I haven't talked to my dad in decades. Mainly cause he is a manipulative POS. Wish I could had this kinda relationship instead.
I feel ya. I wish my dad was still around too. ❤
I love my ol' Dad.
Whoa I think this Mr. Beast guys channel is really gonna blow up now with this collab! 😅
Awesome! Especially spending that time with your dad!
What a beautiful and blessed time you're having with your dad!
The gold nuggets are great too. 😊
Excavators are fun, I grew up around them and still get excited every time I get an opportunity to run one. They are gods gift to shovel pushers.

Dan, I am glad you found that neice Nugget! For only 4 -5 yards of pay, not bad& you got better with the Escavator!! lol, Great video!👍✌
Dan: You have the best gold prospecting show out there. Thank you for bringing the fun and discovery to the screen. Keep it going!
Its soooo awesome you have your Dad with you!! ❤😊

Dan this is awesome, thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Great job
10:40 I trust you know what you're doing, but I worried that if the chain had not come off that rock it might have pulled the bobcat over.

What a clutch move by dad. How valuable was that fix.
Yes ...how many WOULD ⁉️💜💜💜
As long as you run CAT controls on the Mini-X you should be fine. Equipment is super fun and easy to get the hang of.
Way to go , Dan!
Well done Dan. What I would give to hang out with my Dad a few more times. Treasure his company my friend.
