Finding GOLD in the RICHEST vein in the mine.

- Gold in a gold mine? You don't say! Well today Jason and I are testing the gold bearing ore to see how much gold is "free milled" visible and able to be recovered directly from crushing the ore and how much is "Locked Up" stuck in with the Pyrite and needs to be smelted to recover. But realy doing this test is just an excuse to hang out with Jasoon from @mbmmllc and have some fun.

Dan 'The Man' Hurd coming back at us witH Jason... Yanoe this is gonna be good
Fr, they always seem like they’re having fun and they’re both so knowledgeable about minerals. Love both their solo vids to be sure, but their collabs are what I’m really excited for 😂
Jason is such a good man, you can tell immediately. He’s the kind of guy you could trust with your life. I’m so happy to see you and him collaborating! Two great guys passionate about all aspects of gold and gold recovery teaming up like the Fantastic Four! Now you need to add Jeff Williams and Pioneer Pauly in one video!! Please do this!!
Start my morning off with some Dan Hurd Prospecting, then get to walk the Shuswap with my kids after, perfect Sunday!
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Hey Dan 👋...what a great video! Beautiful scenery...good company...I'm so happy you make these adventures available to us who can't get out and do this stuff! So interesting too...very educational. Say hello to Bellingham for me...I lived up in Birch Bay for 12+ years. I sure miss that area....So beautiful! We had an eagle arie in our backyard...I miss hearing them chortle in the spring. Now I have buzzards in Michigan....but I tell myself they're just eagles with alopecia! Lol!!
Cooking dinner and watching Dan Hurd... Love it
I just love watching your collaboration with Jason of MBMM. I have a buddy who got his prospecting license in Ontario, and he had a small silver/gold claim right here in Eastern Ontario. We may do a bit of prospecting just for fun this summer. But you west-coasters are so lucky in this regard--there's just more/easier gold out there....
He's living my dream. Unfortunately we don't have gold mines or rivers with gold here where i live.
Contrary to belief there is gold in most every river just not enough to have it be fun or worth it
You have me looking at rocks in a completely different way. Thank you.
I've lived in this house for over 20 years and about 2 months ago realized there are 2 illegal gold 'mines' about 100 meters from my front door.
I had always wondered what all those box shaped digs are around here. Turns out to be some sort of Surface Mineral Classification from the 1900's.
Well, this old river bank/bar beside us apparently is flush with gold. Old rocks that crumble in your hands and have lines of flakes beside them.
Speaking of which I am off to get some more material to crush and then it's blue balls...oops I mean Blue Bowls all day long. :D
That was exciting. Over the years I have watched Jason’s, Pauline Pauli’s, Sierra Gordo and Dan Hurd. Great to see Dan working with all of the above. Great to see how much a community Prospector are.
What a tonne of fun ... can't wait to see the results !!! Staying tuned !!!
Back in the 40's my father went into a cave with 2 of his brothers. they got lost in the cave, and the lights they brought went out. hours later, one found a light, and the smallest one could crawl out. They never knew how close they came to death.
This story keeps me up at night
I watch too many cave diving and mine digging/exploring videos to be phased by this, but somehow I'm still phased by this.
It's always more fun when you guys work together! All the best to you.
We just love the collaborations with Jason. Another great video Dan. . . . . . . .
Dan - This is one of my favorite videos of yours. You and Jason compliment each other well. Plus, it was very educational, with even a little gold sprinkled in for good measure. I can't wait for part 2.
a lot of enthsiasm , but about 1 gram
Another great video Dan. Thanks to you and Jason!
Thank you Dan for all the different videos...
Also thanks for introducing me to Jason from MBMM , PIONEER PAULY . Your guyses videos give me a nice round about view of gold prospecting.
Thank you very much! For the exciting rock mine show.
i really like when you colaborate or work with your family. not saying your personality isnt strong enough on its own, you just really shine with others.
What a great intro! I love seeing your videos, your excitement and joy is so contagious.
Hi Dan. Can't believe I have been enjoying your videos for a lot of years now, through your ups and downs. You had around 400,000 Subs when I started watching. Now you have 1.9m WOW. Keep up the great work.
Great job all around fam. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out!!!
I love ur crystal digging ideas with ur teams i love it!
Hi Dan. Take care of yourself. Take a break when needed. You have inspired me to go out and pan this summer. I have heart issues too. Started when I was 32. 59 and still going. Good luck on all of your ventures. Cheers from west of Denver.
BTW. Great job and awesome show. Jason is a beast.
Excellent video friend thanks for sharing friend greetings from Colombia
Love your videos! I try to be in all the premiers and love the community, I often forget to leave a comment. thanks for sharing Dan!
Glad you busy working when the sidewall sloughed off! Nicely Dona as always! Nice to see Jason again cuz he’s always full of cool knowledge just different than you help teach us! 👌
Love the video Dan Hurd. It was great to see you and Jason mining different rock samples for gold content.
Thanks
@@Danhurd You're welcome.
great work out there, i'm excited for you, looking forward to seeing the results
I like the way you pin point the location of the seems
Thx for leaving a smile on my face after each episode you make!
These videos are very educational and enjoyable to watch.
British Columbia is such a beautiful place.
Dan, you have me hooked on this cliffhanger video. I’ve been searching your channel several times a day since you posted your latest video 2 days ago. Any update on when the crushing and results of the mining you guys did in your mine from that video will drop? I am sure I am not the only one looking forward to seeing how you did with the haul from the video. Thanks Dan!
"I always like to go inside." Wise words, Jason.
Just ordered some of you paydirt. Can't wait to have some fun with my son panning in the backyard.
You did great on this one! Cannot wait for the next video!
What a great video on where Gold may be lurking. Ty
I Love it when Y'all get together!!!! Golden Things Magically Happen ❤
Great stuff Dan and Jason well worth the watch👍👍🏴
I did enjoy the video today and can't wait for the next one. : )
Very entertaining video! No gold mining here in SW central Florida, but we got Mr Hurd and Jason Baker to follow and learn a bit of knowledge. Ty and good luck!
I love when you two get together.
Hey Dan, I'm fascinated with your channel. I could watch it for hours. I prospected enough gold to build my wedding band set. I hand made it entirely by hand. I commented on your sapphire video that I have dug diamonds in Arkansas and proposed to my wife with a stunning diamond I found. I would like to get back into gold. I started a Lake Superior agate channel, which is my favorite rockhounding avenue. But gold prospecting is what I would like to do when my kids get bigger. Super awesome channel.
Excellent job as always Dan, nice finds. Jason great work on the inside I watch your videos also I have been learning so much and hope someday to get a chance to seek the shiney.
Looks like you found a nice vein. Nice chunks of quartz. Makes you wish you had super vision, but i bet you have gold in them there chucks. Keep us in the loop with information upon crushing for gold and assaying. You crushed it working it.
Great video, as always. Love to watch your content.
That looks like a whole bunch of fun!!!!
I can only imagine what the old timers could have managed if they had these tools with them.
Depending on the funding and the size of the operation, they may have used air powered tools.
Occasionally you'll find the remains of an huge sit compressor at these 100 year old mining sites with pieces of the plumbing scattered all around.
They used water guns. Huge water guns which took the entire hillside with whatever minerals they took.
@@sandybulman2052 I think it was a Looney tunes cartoon called "gold fever" that showed an old 49'r rememissing on the places and ways he was chasing gold. Everything from the 40ft tall wooden sluece, blasting, breaking, panning, and yes a fire hose. I had forgotten until you said something and that image popped up.
Looking forward to the processing vid. 👍
Living in Denmark, 100+ miles from the nearest rock or spec of gold. But dreaming of trying to pan (and maybe find) gold once in my life, all thanks to your videos. Keep it coming Dan!
Greetings from flat and windy Denmark.
Maybe a vacation to Scotland?
You and Jason have a good chemistry in your exitement. I hope you take some samples good enough to acid etch them and makes some show specimens.
That was awesome, can’t wait to see what comes from the crush.
My best guess since I’ve been to the mine with you Dan is that they were planning on creating stopes up to the seam to mine it. That way the seam they line falls down and can be extracted easier.
It’s fun to see Jason here! I watch his friend down in the California ghost town! ♥️♥️
Great work guys that was really interesting to watch.
Thanks Dan I about to try the Sooke Ri er, great video
Thanks guys I've just got a lease in Australia that the old timers got many kilos of gold out of and it is full of many quartz stringers big and small. Your video is helping me work out what I'm looking at. I've got some samples to send in for testing
That looks like good stuff you guys found.
Can't wait to see this material on the table!!
Dan, thanks for the videos. I appreciate you. Love the show and collaborations. I have watched Jason's video almost a week ago. I know life is busy but...
We've been teased long enough....ahow us the smelt already! ,😝🤣
“This video is long enough…”
😫😫😫😫😫😫😫
I was hoping you would show the shaker table in this.
Can’t wait to see the gold you got!
Awesome looking specimens there. Hope the table runs golden. Well done fellas
Dan! Love your videos. Small request though, can you circle the gold you are seeing in post edit? Can't tell if what I'm looking at is the gold you guys are referring to.
I seen this type of rusty quartz where I grew up...but had no idea about this back then. I'll definitely be doing some prospecting when I visit in July lol
The rocks about it which made me go screaming 😂😂 love ur humor
Oh man I'm sad to not see the results. Can't wait to see what you got!
This mine has HUGE possibility for big gold! More videos at Blue Chip!
Ya gotten lots out of that beard, Dan! Ya think Jason could compeat? Lol! ... I'm impressed with the team work, love the fact that Jason understands that having physical limitations needs assistance or the dreams end...love the companionships you share with one another ... keep the dream a reality 😊
Thanks for the content Dan!
I've really enjoyed your adventures & productions Dan. Seeing you travel & get dirty & hands on, in a diverse rock, mineral & metal world, is cool.
You should consider a trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula & the mines, minerals & stones from Lake Superior shores to the Copper Country mines.
Fine show again!
If there ever was a leprechaun it would certainly be Dan Hurd.
Can't wait for the next installment
You two make a great duo. Jason (yeah please don't kill me). 😂 Great video 💯
I watched Jason's video one day last week . It's cool seeing both perspectives lol
Cant wait to see part 2.
Nice to see your beard growing back since the operation.
Great video mate. Nice to see you catching some gold.
Awsome job. Hard work and great video
Dan - love the content. Remember gold climbs out of the deep in a hot slurry of liquid rock. So one has to look from underneath 🙂
As always.... Loved it!
I'd love to see you pan some of that ore!
thank you very much for showing us the whereabouts of the gold veins that are in that cave. show us how much gold you brought home
Another great video, your content is awesome!
great friend, greetings traditional gold prospectors from Indonesia
The close up's makes your videos stand out.
Having Jason along only makes you big time.
Great video Dan can’t wait so see what you guys get at Jason’s shop🤘⚒️🇺🇸
Hello, i do have what i think is an amazing stone or rock. I am not so familiar with rocks. It has some pyrite on top and theres a white color in the middle of the rock and inside those white has greenish thing. And it is moisting now
Your show is so meaningful for all the guys trapped in the matrix.
Canvas ground tarp is much needed to catch falling rock before it's adulterated by rubbish, but I've said that before. You have to set up your work station, when the work you do is real labor. Smarter not harder.
It took us 3.5 minutes to pick up all the debris Guess I could have spent 3 minutes spreading out a tarp and saved 30 seconds, but then folding the tarp after would have taken 60 seconds....... And the crusher and shaker tables don't care if there is a bit of rubbish in with it.
Love these collabs
A GREAT collab. 👍✌️
Also, maybe look into doing a propane conversion on your little genny. I did and the exhaust fumes are next to nothing. Yes, you hafta carry a tank, but I think the propane lasts longer and creates less wear and tear on your genny. Hope this helps. 🙂👍
great job guys !!!
Hi Dan love your show. What kind of paper work do you have to do to take your buckets of ore to Jason's lab in Bellingham?
When u have molten quartz in the smelt pour it into round moulds might be useful for amateur telescope making and put it back in the cooling furnace for some annealing. Have u tested for rare earths
Two guys with a positive attitude!
I wanted to watch your video much earlier but by wife "Mommy Dearest" Needed me to mow the property to put a smile on her face. Well, she is now smiling, and I am as well watching Dan and Jason chasing gold. Thanks for the Invite!!!!!
dan you need to go see the abatibi regon of quebec! flying in to val dor should be simple it has one of the largest runways in northamerica and as its name indicates it s a valley of gold in a region rich in minerals. the lamac mine was recently changed from underground to open pit canadian shield granite with great quartz veins :
When Dan says "watch in Tomorrows Video" and its been 4 days.... i hope Dan's okay. Prayers!
Dan your links to the Kellyco super sluce 15” pans are still broken!
Looking forward to the next one!
I was wondering when you were going to upload this video and low and behold there it is excellent video awesome content thank you for sharing this six stars
