I thought they were kidding or just didnt want to teach me haha. Btw im a filipino born and raised in the philippines, i know how to speak tagalog and some dialects. Most people here also speak really good english, atleast the ones ive been friends with.
I think cambodians should be more proud of their language. When i heard people speaking cambodian i thought it was a beautiful language and i instantly wanted to learn it from them in exchange id teach them how to speak tagalog. But for some reason my friends there never spoke with it. Anyway ive taught my friends how to speak tagalog andits crazy to think that they know how to speak some tagalog but cant speak cambodian.

I lived years in those areas. Vietnam is now an ally of the USA and President Wilson refused to meet with Ho Chi Min in 1918, an opportunity lost. FDR died without enacting his plan to get colonialism out of SE Asia. Kennedy and Eisenhower sent some advisors to Vietnam and they concluded no large amount of US troops should go. The hillbilly from Texas, LBJ is the one who revved up the war.
