My cousin was a commercial pilot and it is a career that takes over your life. Complete physicals, training, tests and flight simulations every 6 months. Bidding for blocks of flight times, the right frame of mind, dealing with the physical toll on your body and balancing family life. All pilots deserve respect and these ladies are fine representatives of the profession!

Sophie and Shayma are magnificent and very neat romantic pilots - this can be seen even from such a short video. These pilots are professionals. I'd fly with them and with other similar pilots regardless of sex. Unfortunately there are too many sexists who can't stand females in air industry.
I flew from Toronto to Paris then to Kinshasa, 13 hours flight and I experienced some crazy turbulences where I felt the plane dropped a bit lol, I started praying and saying that God please I left my kids back in Canada lol.

After 22 years in the air force, the Airbus A380 is the most modern cockpit I've ever seen. I knew they were switching from yoke to side stick controller. What I didn't expect was pull out keypad and multiple video screens that show everything including external cameras and airport ground maps. Cuts out having all that paperwork trying to find airport taxi maps. Funny thing is I understand what Abu Dhabi Ground is saying. Even the guy running the tug... I am very impressed as to the beauty of the pilot and her great intelligence. It's easy to think women in that side of the world still aren't allowed to drive or go to school. Oh yeah, the Airbus A380 is the largest commercial aircraft which since this video, has been retired by most airlines because of efficiency. And this aircraft is run with such a small cockpit!
Can't drive or go to school. sure about that? looks like these girls are doing a mighty fine job of driving and I'm quite certain they went to school to learn how to fly one of these monsters as well. I think some companies are bringing their A380's out of mothballs as well.. but yeah the new twin turbofans are a lot more efficient. Shaima is not only smart she's gorgeous as well.

@scrub44 OH, so please tell me how caked on makeup helps to fly the plane or fight fires or shoot a gun. My wife of 37 years never wore makeup because it did nothing to help her with house work or wash clothes or run the vacuum. Put a bag over their head and they can still fly the plan just as well. As I said, there are plenty of old ugly fat men pilots who fly planes just as good if not better. Makeup does nothing to fly the plane but looking fake clown makeup for the camera. It's fake. It's not reality. Why would you want to go ga ga over someone with clown makeup? it is scary to think what they really look like without. Your just a young bozo who is fooled by makeup. 🤣

This is a whole new perspective on when you fly around the world. I think everybody that takes these kinds of trips should know the professionalism of the crew. It is remarkable more women are flying you from one point to another with precision. These people are top notch professionals. And they don't get paid enough.

I noticed on take off, your eyes were fixed on the Attitude Indicator which I don't do as I'm busy looking out of the window.

I love this lady. As good as any guy who can fly the big stuff. She's very sharp, very observant, no communication problems on the radio, no language barriers. What can't she do? I haven't seen anything yet!

Absolutely love the connection to the first female balloonist with Sophie's name! It's inspiring to witness these two individuals working seamlessly together, breaking down barriers in their own unique way. On a side note, if I ever in a rush and need convenient parking, I'll be consider trying out Express Parking! because it's a great idea to save time and pocket budget.

Wow! She's absolutely gorgeous. I love how she flying it through 1,100 feet instead of engaging the AP. She had her eyes glues to the weather radar and HSI the entire time. Exceptional CRM between the two ladies.

I worked as a flight simulator tech for Etihad and regularly flying their A380 sim on this exact runway 31L OMAA. Seeing these footages irl amazed me.
