I have to believe that the passengers in the Dash-8 were applauding wildly when the plane straightened out on the runway. For them, that was a scary ride on final!
Without a doubt, the landings of the AN124 and the A380 are the most impressive, but let us not fail to appreciate the enormous skill of the DASH-8 pilot! Amazing videos as always! Greetings from Argentina.
PLANE MANIA I don’t think the a380 one is good. If you see just before the touchdown, the Pilot makes the rudder turn left. Normally a pilot would use the rudder just after the plane lands. But this pilot didn’t, and because he used the rudder at final the plane drifted to the left then right.
It seemed like such an uncontrolled descent, until it wasn't. Perfect crab at the end. I can't believe it wasn't a TOGA before minimums but, once committed, the PF definitely nailed the part that mattered.
Amazing stuff. Tons of responsibilities on the shoulders of these pilots! Thank you pilots for doing this intensely stressful occupation. I’ve heard that flying big jets is “hours of boredom punctuated by moments of stark terror”. And after 25 plus year of professional flying, I would agree.
High Kudos to the Dash 8 and A380 pilots who showed great skill landing in the crosswinds. The An124 was probably the hardest landing - but it is the biggest plane on the video. Although the AN124 did have a big bounce all the landings were not all that bad - a testament to the pilot skills in harsh conditions.
The Pilot in the dash is a moron. The AN124 was also pilot error. Watch the elevators. Although, once you get below a flying speed, it makes sense to input full up, if you do this while the plane is still capable of flying, you get this.
AN124 landed on nose gear and then bounced and nearly flipped. Landing heavy and landing sideways are both excusable, landing nose first is incredibly dangerous.
The Antonov touchdown was scary but the Dash 8 showed some impressive skills. Manchester Airport in the UK is another place with hard landings due to bring very prone to crosswinds. I've seen some crazy landings there.

By definition an hard-landing equals or goes over 2.1G. This landings are "soft - hard". The Antonov 124 nose gears are remarkably strong, because landing like that can immediately collapse the gear and together with the Bombardier landing are the most severe type for the landing gears. Nice footage.
First off that dash-8 crosswind is unbelievable! I remember watching that before. But that MD11 with UPS is most likely that one with a hard landing. Even some 747|s you recorded are also pretty hard with the landings. Oh and that A380 I forgot to mention. Must’ve been difficult to get control therez
That thing was flying freaking SIDEWAYS. I would have done a go around and NOPED the FRICK out of that airspace for that day to somewhere else at least 50-100 miles ELSEWHERE. Ffffffuuuu... dat!

The sound at 3:30 is so cool. I first noticed it a few weeks ago plane spotting at DFW, the speed at which the displaced air is rotating creates some nifty sounds, especially if it interacts with any trees or stationary objects
In my long life of flying there have been a few rough landings but only one truly hard landing, thought for sure the 747 had to be broken, cause it felt like my back was broken. Unbelievable how much those planes can take! Hats off the Engineers
Imaging being a pax sitting at the very back of that 380 where you feel the lateral movements the most! The pilot flying that landing screwed up right at the touchdown moment, look at his rudder position, he caused the aircraft to go with the wind instead of into it, like he did on the correct approach..
@@georgesboutz7534 Yeah, after the touchdown he kept his foot on the left rudder, i got anxious seen that, like "STOP IT, its straight on the runaway already"

Lol.Emirates normally does butter.but thats the hardest emirates landing ive ever seen.its like a giant car can carry almost 600 passengers
2:35 bro
😂😂😂
Omg how is this not the top comment?! I clicked on the time stamp while eating Easter leftovers and now there's shredded ham all over my curtains.
7 was REAL ruff
Video: Top 10 hard landings
Ryanair: Hold my broken landing gear
🤣🤣🤣😂
By definition an hard-landing equals or goes over 2.1G. This landings are "soft - hard". The Antonov 124 nose gears are remarkably strong, because landing like that can immediately collapse the gear and together with the Bombardier landing are the most severe type for the landing gears. Nice footage.
The Dash 8 landing is amazing, respect for the pilot !!
I love how the flaps jiggle on the 747s
yes me too 👍
3:26 typical MD-11 cargo landing.
Nothing hard here.
сомолёт
That Dash-8 pilot deserves an award
First off that dash-8 crosswind is unbelievable! I remember watching that before. But that MD11 with UPS is most likely that one with a hard landing. Even some 747|s you recorded are also pretty hard with the landings. Oh and that A380 I forgot to mention. Must’ve been difficult to get control therez
Plasmas UKTransport turboprop did a amazing job out there...
A380 at end was the best.
The thing i dont understand is the a330 landing with one thrust reverser
2:28 looks like a mosquito
Yeah 😂
That thing was flying freaking SIDEWAYS. I would have done a go around and NOPED the FRICK out of that airspace for that day to somewhere else at least 50-100 miles ELSEWHERE. Ffffffuuuu... dat!
The Fact that the pilot of the Q400 did an amazing Crosswind Landing
Ryanair called, they want their pilots back
😂😂😂😂😂
Some of them are not landings, but crashes with a happy end .....
Lol, EXACTLY my thoughts!!
Especially the Dash 8
Another happy landing. Obiwan-Kenobi
Damn , strong landing gears 🤯 on that first one
It’s great that psychology has so many ways to keep us calm in such stressful situations. I’ve been working for decades now with people suffering from phobias and I will tell you this - you can make yourself feel at ease but it takes time and effort. My client’s aviophobia brought me here :-)
The sound at 3:30 is so cool. I first noticed it a few weeks ago plane spotting at DFW, the speed at which the displaced air is rotating creates some nifty sounds, especially if it interacts with any trees or stationary objects
The wing tip vortices also make some pretty gnarly sounds too.
Lol, Captain Kangaroo was flying the Atlas Cargo plane at the beginning. 🤣😍
5:35 respect to the plane spotter, who took he camera out in that weather conditions.
In my long life of flying there have been a few rough landings but only one truly hard landing, thought for sure the 747 had to be broken, cause it felt like my back was broken. Unbelievable how much those planes can take! Hats off the Engineers
This is why this chickadee doesn't like to fly. But I can't stop watching these!
6:34 i have never seen a plane touch down on the front landing gear
See Crazy Caribou pilot, wheelbarrow
Google IL 76 200 ton on front wheels ))
@@МаксДорогойченков plus downwards pressure
Only in Russia
Depending on the wind condition, that could have been a good landing
0:45 That plane in the badkground must have had the hardest landing of them all. Both engines and the nosecone fell off! :-)
Ryanair would love to hire these pilots.
Imagine drifting a380 down the runway with 400 souls on board
800+
No thanks.
Tokyo Drift approved!
7:10 tokyo drift 99 confirmed
Pmsl this guy is totally in the zone, left rudder right rudder left right left right.
Well, they also drift ans two wheel their cars all the time sooo
2:40 wow, that was a tough one for sure, but an obvious pro!
Phenomenal compilation. The Atlas 747 was way hard. What happened to left engine of Turkish, no reverse activated or tech issue?
The EK 380 landing was scary gliding after touch down. Too much rudder actions..
as far as i know, reversers makes it harder to keep the centerline on strong crosswind conditions. it could be related
The Dash 8 landing was like watching a WRC rally car in action. Superb bit of flying. I would loved to have felt the vibe in economy when the Emirates A380 landed with an aeronautical tank slapper!
sir your description of that A380 landing is spot on lol.
These are professional piloys
For those like me who thought that bird got sucked into the engine at 5:05 if you look really close and just follow the path of the bird you can see that it made it!
No Sucked.
Left reverse thrust???
Plane ate bird nyom
*Two russian pilot land the nose gear first
Everybody: wow that seems dangerous
Russian pilot: nothing to worry about. (steer with one hand)
Uses the other to roll a new cigarette.
@@Adrian_Nel or even have shot of vodka
One thing about the Russkies......they keep that nose DOWN & get 'er on the ground
Well on the ground you steer with only one hand in almost all planes.
@@AviationNut most of the time you land with 1 hand as well. The other is controlling throttle and reverse thrusters.
The commitment of that dash 8 pilot. Sheeeshhh!!
That MD11F @ 03:26 :p
Great job in filming all of these :-)
6:30 RIP nose landing gear
No. 7
2:37
Really, really something. Slipping until touchdown. Wow. Buddy you did it real well, I bear witness to that.
The smoothest landing I've ever experienced as a passenger is when I took ANA airlines from the JFK to Onaida. I didn't feel anything when the airplane was landing. I thought it was lucky and it was not going to happen again, but no... On the way back, as I took the same airlines, it was the same quality of landing. ANA airlines pilots are awesome, they know exactly what they are doing.
Poor Dash-8! How shocked he was! Honor and praise to the pilot!
That last 380 Emmerite landing was scary as hell ‼️
No kidding....the passengers in the back must have been really whipsawed. Wonder why would a 380 be landing at EHBK?
You know it’s hard when the flaps look like there about to fall off
