Joining the military, becoming a mom and just age… that growth made me realize all the distractions will still be there after I achieve my goals

Great tips ! I’m starting this coming fall after being denied 2 times . Now that time passed and I’m 28 I’m more determined than anything to do my best even though I’m not good studying , also I get overwhelmed too easy. But I’ll push my self to do my best. About social media, that is so true. I’ll be uninstalling tik tok and Instagram for sure . Because any tiny thing gets me so distracted . 😅

Aww girl 🥹 thanks for the video. I am so nervous but I’m 24 and I work part time jobs and I got my aa was pre nursing and changed to dental because I like it better. Now I am going to start in the summer. I live alone and work. I’d be able to afford school if I wasn’t living alone but I might need loan to stay focus and work a little to support my rent and other bills so I can focus on school and not worry so much about tuition. I’m excited because I really want to be in my career and have a big job that pays well and making a difference in people life’s🥰🥰 Good luck in the field❤️❤️❤️

@@JessiecaB an update is that im doing pretty good in RDA program, it's easier than i expected but maybe the internship will be harder. I got straight A and doing pretty well. I heard Dental Hygiene school is very competitive.. I hope I can get accept into DH program in the future . Im thinking about not moving with parents to Texas because I want to stay in Cali and finish DH prerequisites. I wasted 2 years not going school and now I don't want to waste any other years.

Sometimes the doubt never goes away(I doubt myself as an RDH sometimes). Your goal, your reason why is what overshadows that doubt. Encourage yourself because when I say work is sooooooo much better than school, you’ll have to see it for yourself to truly know what I mean. So KEEP GOING SIS!!!! Hey! I’m 30 yrs old, married (husband has a solid full time job), and three kids (5,3, and 1 yo). Is it even possible for busy moms to complete schooling while also taking care of a family????I get school hours childcare would need to be arranged. But after school, is there time to take care of a family, kids, house etc…..alongside studying?
Hey there!! It most definitely is possible, I have seen it first hand. My classmate, married, with five kids and was working and keeping up with her kids many extracurricular activities, she even took trips with them. She also drove 3hrs to get to class each day (3 days a week) she literally had to make time. She always passed her test with flying colors. You can definitely do it, I’m not saying it’s all rainbows and such one but it will be once you make it through your program!!
Maybe with one child but multiple kids makes it very hard because dental hygiene requires a lot of focus. Plus you should be spending time with your kids, not going off into education. Once you have children they should be the focus ❤️
Is dental hygienist program full time like 8 hrs a day? I'm thinking about joining the program but i need to work. I have a family to support but not sure if this would be manageable. I'm the type who needs to study like 3x over,lol. TIA
Hi! It depends on the school, I went to fortis and we had 2-3 days of class worth 2 1/2 years Some schools go all week with a shorter span It’s possible! You have to sacrifice, I had classmates with family as well and jobs, they still did wonderful!
Yes knock those prerequisites out!🙌🏾 it’s all up to you!! Location, finance, quality of the clinic/teachers. It all comes into play. Aaaaand the waiting list!

SIS! Don’t you dare doubt yourself! That’s not how we elevate, so let’s stay encouraged. I am 26yrs old and have been in school three times now,so trust me it is never too late to start lol. Trust me I understand where you’re coming from, but you can do anything you out your mind too. You are smart enough to be a hygienist, all you have to do is read and apply yourself. There are so many resources that your school will give you to be successful in the program. Take a leap of faith, you won’t regret it! 💕

And we have computers that does most of the work for us. So no equations required in the filed. As long as you have your math prerequisites you’re fine

Hi! Well I have my bachelor’s in anthropology then I went to Fortis, you don’t choose a major there. If you are going to a university I’d choose biology or a similar science
@@JessiecaB really? im a nursing student but I had to withdraw bc of how far the distance and the classes where overwhelming so I decided to have a plan b of becoming a dental hygienist😃. the testing every week with other nursing courses was crazy. can you please do a video on why you choose dental hygiene vs nursing 🤎.

Finishing biochem this semester. And I’m taking this All in. My biggest debate is, private or public college for dental hygiene.

Absolutely not, I’m living with my folks and am working part time. Full time isn’t feasible with my schedule

Hi! I went to Fortis Institute in n Birmingham Al. There is one in Smyrna Ga, also Georgia State also had a wonderful hygiene program!
Do you have any tips for the HESI exam? Did you have to take it for your program?
I did take the HESI, but at my school they changed it to the Wonderlic. And yes I had to take it to get in, it was a basic test so no worries!
How long did it take for your school to let you know you got accepted into the program?
I took about three weeks to a month, after I took the HESI
It took over a month to hear back from my school.
