- I finally did it! Passed my board exam and made this video about how I passed the dental hygiene board exam what I used and exactly how I studied. I also talk about what taking the board exam online was like.

How did you do? I’m taking again because first time I ran out of time on the first part! So I missed 100 questions automatically. I was so upset.
@@southernmess777 Oh no! I’m sorry to hear but I’m sure you will do well next time. You know all the info, all it comes down to is picking the best answer that fits the most. I passed my exam, however I didn’t end up using Student RDH at all. I used a Darby’s textbook.
@@siimplyniique oh wow yea I just recently found student rdh. My school made us get Andy’s and it’s pretty good but I find that all the tips to remember things help me so much. Oh and that’s the thing what the BEST answer…umm there’s like 3 wth! Lll

Girl, I studied that book in an out. I did not find it helpful at all. Maybe one or two questions from StudentRDH that popped up. Other than that, nothing close to what’s in her book. I found her questions to be too simple and the book went in a great deal of detail, but still was not enough for the Canadian hygiene exam. In my opinion
i'm in canada and writing on may 25th! so nervous but i'm hoping it will all work out too :)
how long did you study for the boards?
Yay!! You’re so close!!! It will all work out. A heads up, you will probably feel like you failed it like I and so many of my classmates did so it’s totally normal. I studied for a long long time for it but majority of my studying took place about a month before exams!
Can i use the student RDH book prep that i used for my canadian board exam to prepare for the US one? Or should i get the american version? They're similar no? Please help! Thank you! 😊
You can definitely use it for the US one! It’s probably even better for that one

@@DajanaCoric Really! I live in ontario, we haven’t learned hardly anything about LA, and our board exam prep teacher advised us to learn it all even though we’ve barely been taught it😫 It sucks, but hopefully it won’t be too bad
I was wondering about that when I saw questions on LA. In Toronto you don’t administer LA right ?

Darn that’s tough! I would say know the length of the needle for each injections and what could go wrong. Specifically PSA and IANB
I take mine is a few weeks, did you have any anatomy and physiology on it, what subjects did you find was more covered on it
Hey! Every question on the exam was related to dental hygiene. So there wasn’t anything like a diagram and them asking “What is this?” For the anatomy questions they were mostly related to LA questions like where to inject and mostly what could go wrong.what nerve are you aiming for… At least that’s what it was like on my exam lol

Congratulations! Can you please share how long did you wait for your results? Is it exactly 4 weeks for unofficial results?
I think it was 4 weeks I can't really remember. Just that it took forever to get the results and then to get my license processed. It sucked!

Hello! I am going to take the board exam next year, and I am thinking to buy studentrdh package in advance and study during summer. Did you buy vip package from studentrdh?
I did get the vip package! Just keep in mind your access to the website expires after 6 months I think. I bought my stuff early and then had to email to get them to extend it.

Are there any questions that repeated at the exam and was found in student rdh or darbys ?
If you’re talking about the Canadian examI would say the type of question asked from Darby and Walsh were more similar style to the board exam. Student RDH was more towards the American one. But still really helpful.
@@DajanaCoric thanks a lot.. I'm trying Darby but it's so overwhelming lots of information. Do you think study rdh is better source ?
@@minazaky4922 student rdh was easier to read for me. DW had to much text and all this filler stuff. If anything I would focus on the little text box that directly talk about what a hygienist would do in case scenarios in DW
