How long after interview did you find out if you were accepted?
I literally did exactly what u said in the video and I got accepted into the school I wanted and I’m three months in. I just wrote this now because I’m sending ur video to someone who’s preparing for their interview ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Just had my interview and unfortunately for me all the questions I studied and try to prepare for we’re not asked! I didn’t get a chance to tell them why I wanted to be a hygienist or what accomplishments I’ve done to get here. All the questions asked were situational based like how would I handle this....I’m hoping my answers were enough to get in but I won’t know for another 2 weeks! Your videos did help me feel more confident so thank you! I will be recommending to any of my aspiring hygiene friends!! 😊

Thank you very much! 150-200 students apply and they only interview 30! Thankfully I was given the chance to receive an interview next month. The only thing that has challenged me, they require a 7minute essay before the interview. The prompt will be given when you arrive.. I've been copying and pasting questions to the word document which I really believe will help. (I am a single mother and I've had people explain that in their interview then I've heard to not speak on it because it can be a disadvantage.. Which I felt was a major reason for picking this career), if you have any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate them! Congrats!
Congrats on getting your interview! The essay sounds intense but I definitely think practicing it a lot will help.
I'm not sure that I would talk about being a single mother if I were you, only because they want to know that you have the time to be successful in the program and if they're choosing between you and someone else it might come down to who they think will be more successful.

I just googled the questions and copied and pasted into a word document
awesome video! Is there any more questions that you didn't mention in the video? How many questions did they ask you? How long was the interview? and how would you answer the question What will you do if you don't get into the program?
I mentioned the ones that I remembered. It was all a blur. If i had to guess the time, probably 15 min or something like that. I got into the program but my plan B was to apply to other programs

Being a male does it give me an advantage? Also what about bringing in a resume? Would you choose DH all over again?
I wouldn't say it gives you an advantage, and I wouldn't bring a resume, yes I would :)
My daughter had her interview a few weeks ago and has since received her interview score. This is in Canada but they do not give the average or a cut off score. Do you know generally how this works? Are you in Canada?
I'm not in Canada and every school is different with how they do their application and acceptance process unfortunately. Good luck to your daughter, I hope she gets in!

You can always reapply the next year or to different programs
If you aren’t accepted and you get a rejection letter you usually can schedule an appointment to talk about your application and why you didn’t get in. I would recommend you do that for me they took some points off but gave them back to me after talking with them!

Did you have to take clinicals during the day ?
I actually haven't started dental hygiene school yet, my videos in the future will be talking all about the program!
But I do know that clinic is definitely during the day in DH school
Did they test you on a writing sample or on dexterity?

They didn't ask me that but I would have said that I would re-take some courses and reapply next year.
