A "back door man" was an old blues term for the guy your woman was cheating with - he left out the back door when you came in the front door. Guitarist Jimmy Page would occasionally play his guitar with a violin bow, however he didn't use one during this song. I love these kids, saying "we've heard of Led Zeppelin"! Back when this came out, that would be like saying "we've heard of water"; this was HUGE. You couldn't NOT hear it!
Yes it's a compilation of Zeppelin live! No mullets or hairspray with Zeppelin this was before molds and hairspray this was the early '70s! And all the heavy metal bands took inspiration from Led Zeppelin who started the new music back in 69!
Jimmy Page used a violin bow, beer bottle, or anything else he could find to coax new and interesting sounds from his guitar. That kind of innovation and experimentation is part of Led Zeppelin's mystique
Mullets had a comeback with factory workers in the mid '70s and through the 90's they hated long hair sticking in their face while sweating bullets at work so they cut the sides and left it long in the back and many followed suit. It also caused the saying" buisness in the front and a party in the back". It originated centuries ago.

The song was recorded in 1969 and released in Oct of 1969. This was definitely a song which was a nice ending of the 1960s. The concert footage was from the years 1969, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977 and 1979 -- and it was all mixed up and not in any particular order.

"Whole Lotta Love" is the opening track on the band's second album, Led Zeppelin II, and was released as a single in 1969 in several countries; as with other Led Zeppelin songs, no single was released in their home land of the United Kingdom. In the United States, it became their first hit. Parts of the song's lyrics were adapted from Willie Dixon's "You Need Love", recorded by Muddy Waters in 1962; originally uncredited to Dixon, a lawsuit in 1985 was settled with a payment to Dixon and credit on subsequent releases. Led Zeppelin disbanded when drummer John Henry Bonham died. John Henry Bonham (31 May 1948 - 25 September 1980)

Jimmy Page likes to use a bow on his guitar.
No mullets. Those were 1980s, Led Zep was 1970s. Also, no hairspray. That was also 1980s This song was a cover of willie Dixon's blues classic. The band was: Robert Plant - singer Jimmy Page - guitarist John Paul Jones - bass and keyborard John Bonham - drums.
Axl Rose, Slash, Brian May, Freddy Mercury, Jon Bon Jovi. All these guys got their inspiration from Led Zeppelin. They were the pioneers and the masters of rock music that sold out stadiums all over the world.
'Back door man' is a line off an old blues tune that refers to a man going out the back door of the woman's home as the man of the house enters the front door. Willy Dixen or Muddy Waters maybe.

They made gobs of money in a short period of time.
