These blew me away when i got them sounded as good as my 58x 6xx 650 660s2 i listen to them on my tube amps i swapped the nice stock mic cord for a balanced 4.4 also impressed with the lightness and wide soundstage for a closed back they did great on these especially for the price
yeah they are a great pair of headphones!
@@ryanhostudioThese or Hifiman HE 400i 2020 for competition multiplayer BF 2042 and CS 2? I already own Hifiman, but they lacking some imaging tho... Good soundstage but only average imaging in gaming, but excellent for music listening on Tidal Hi-Res. I really want a pair of closed back headphones that are very good in gaming pin point footsteps accuracy so are JT1 what I'm looking for?
Thanks a bunch!
well the tuning of jt1 is better, the he 400i is slightly bright
Hello,
Did you get a chance to try them without any dacs or amps? Do you reckon the inbuilt 3.5mm jack of my phone or laptop could drive these?
@@ryanhostudioCan you tell me if JT1 can be connected to 4.4 Pentacon to iFi Zen Dac? I have an Meze balanced cable.
I got it for 65 USD and I have to say it's very good for the price. I can safely recommend this for a good pair of headphones under 100 USD.
agreed!
Thanks for reviewing it I just received it too. Wow thanks for listening to my suggestion. You actually reviewed them.
Btw i just got my topping dx1 too it pairs really well with the fiio jt1 snd hd58x.
The headband supposed to be stainlessness steel but only time will tell.
i did! yeah handband is quite nice quality
Excellent review …these were totally off my radar…..but not anymore. Thanks to you..! Cheers.
cheers!
Great review. Wow, this brand is doing well. Awesome.

Bought into the hype from Z. I dont inow if they changed them but definitly NOT audiophile sound other then being a bit warm. No extension in the treble and has midbass bloat/boom. Nicely made for the price and by a well known company.
it’s a studio sound more akin to m50x
Can anyone help explain how do to use the built in microphone? in my current setup, my JT1 is connected to the Fosi Audio DAC-Q4, then connected to the PC using USB B cable.
@@zyerath i’m guessing the fosi is only a dac, which means it’s only passing through your audio to headphones. It doesn’t have a mic input. You could probably just connect it directly into pc because those have both mic and audio jacks
@@ryanhostudio so how do I check if something have a mic input? for example on a smartphone there's only one 3.5 audio jack port so I'd know it's for both the earphone and mic. but on PC and DAC, there are separate port for earphone and microphone
@@zyerath for a pc usually green is audio port and pink is mic, you can buy a cable that splits the combo jack into audio and mic to plug into back of pc
Thanks for reviewing this set! I got very lucky during the recent 11.11 sale ang snagged them for $45. Already great value at its SRP though. Been waiting for any reviews to come out as I wasn't sure if I was hyping myself. So great to hear that you also enjoy them! My other headphone is a HE400SE, so I really like going back and forth between them. They do their own things well.
Also, I had an M40x previously, which I had sold off as, although they aren't bad, I just found them a little boring sound-wise, plus also quite uncomfortable - I have big ears plus the clamp force is quite high. The JT1 is similarly tuned, but just doesn't sound as dry to me. I think the treble is smoother and the bass is better textured. the fact that I got the JT1 for less than half the price compared to the M40x is pretty mind-blowing.
that’s a great price for sure!
Awesome bro! I'm like you with HE400SE and these. I think I like these better!!
@@adampa1006 ohhh interesting! I think i still like the HE400SE a bit more. But thankfully, one is closed and the other open. So some differences in their use cases at times. But really enjoying both! 2 great starter headphones imho
HE I AM CONFUSED ON WHICH DAC TO GET WITH JT1, CAN YOU PLEASE RECOMMEND ME OUT OF THESE ( They have a little price variation so will that make any difference buying the high in price one)

Fiio jt1s ft3s 32 ohm and a fiio k11 and a balanced cable you will have for under 500 a amazing gaming /movie / music hifi set up
sounds about right
Jt1 useless if you have ft3 though, unless you really need a closed back sometimes
How do they compare to the Sony Wh-Ch720ns in terms of sound quality.
Nice review once again. Would you take this or the EPOS H6 Pro/PC38x for gaming?
h6 pro is still best imaging headphone for competitive fps. pc38x is open back headphone, while jt1 is closed back so depends on if you need isolation or not
After researching a lot I am liking to get these and pair them with moondrop dawn pro but I am afraid that this combo might extrapolate the bass and wouldn’t sound balanced
these have increased bass whether you have dawn pro or not
Tell me about music and games, Cloud Alpha S or Fiio/Jade Audio JT1? I don't need a microphone
i actually was testing this recently and was debating doing a video...but JT1 is definitely more detailed and bigger soundstage so better for music. Cloud Alpha s does have advantage still in imaging from its angled drivers
hey coming across this a bit late but ive been doing lots of research into headphones and I decided on the H6 pro closed. For fps games they are very impressive and they have great bass but i feel like they are very mid ( in my very unexperienced opinion) for music. Im not big into audiophile like eq but I love listening to music and I would love for my headphones to sound amazing for music as well. I would be happy to loose a bit of sound imaging during fps games if the jt1's were great for music( even if I don't know how to eq but im willing to learn) thanks so much! Also feel like this is important to mention, I listen to modern music like country. rap, etc
the epps pc38x is a good music headphone and gaming, it has less bass though than the h6 pro closed
Hi, my closed back headphones are hyperx cloud orbit and Denon d5200. I prefer these last and I m searching a closed back more neutral, do you recommend these fiio? The Denon are more expensive but maybe the only thing that I've learned from this hobby Is that often the price is only a number
i think hyperx cloud orbit is a good closed back very detailed and different tuning profiles to achieve neutrality. The Fiio jt1 is good studio headphone with nice bass, but i think something like hyperx cloud orbit will be more detailed and better
@@ryanhostudio thanks for the review and the tips, for me the issue with the cloud orbit is the impossibility to bypass the inner dac amp, so in some songs the volume isn't enough
Quick question, will the TRRS connector this comes with work with your typical onboard realtek audio on your motherboard?
yeah it’s like a normal gaming headset
@@ryanhostudio I ask because a lot of gaming headsets have the audio and mic as two separate plugs(TRS) where you plug one into the audio line-out and the other to mic-in.
But this headset uses a single plug where the mic signal is also carried with audio using TRRS plug.
Can you confirm the microphone also works without any extra adapters when plugged into on-board audio line-out?
thanks.
@@greatwolf.You'll need a splitter
I have dt770 and i bought those and rode nth100, rode are very well build but audio quality was So bad... Refunded. Buy fiio... Oh boy after balancing them they are soooo frickin goood like holy moly for that price? Sound quality is perfect, build quality tho is just fine, i dont really believe to that leather on pads and headband to last more than a year, i need swap them on velur ones sometime in the future
haha i agree i reviewed the rode nth-100 and its totally not a studio headphone…the fiio are crazy for the price
I'm interested in buying these headphones, but I would like to know if they fit my ears, can you tell me the measurements of the ear pads? and also the depth, thanks
depth 23mm, 60mm height, 45mm width
good, they have space for my ears, many manufacturers make headphones around the ear, but with little space for ears,I also thought that Fiio headphones were open, I already have 3 open headphones.
Hi! Thank you for the great review! I'm choosing between these now and HD 560S for smartphone use mainly, what do you think? Considering 560S are more than twice the price...
i think for the price as well as tuning wise go for the jt1 because it will sound more fun because it has more bass than 560s. 560s will sound more open as it’s an open back
thank you very much for your input good sir :)@@ryanhostudio
Compare JT1 with Ath m40x what you will choose? I look headphone for production music in FL studio. Appreciate an answer
i mean if your doing production music the ath m40x is a more common device to find so would go with that
@@ryanhostudioThank you for the answer, I got advice from another reviewer who said JT1 was better, but I asked which one was better regarding the vocal at that time.
@@NekoKaicho hmm i do think the jt1 is better too especially in treble and overall build quality
How's jt1 fare against something like 58x?
i like the jt1 better because tuning has better bass and treble
do you think they are better than hyperx cloud 2/alpha? I'm looking for an upgrade
i have the alphas, i would say they are more similar than different. The Cloud alpha has a better mic for sure
Should i get this if I have HD600 and DT770 pro....
Too late already bought them.
hahaha
How's the sound? Is it something that you would use for mixing and mastering purposes?
if not, would it be if an EQ is applied?
yo. is soundproofing good enough? I mean will anybody hear my music? and also I want to record some vocals so it's important to me. In specs I can see that it's closed-back, you also said it.. but some reviews say it's "half open", idk maybe they say it because of bad soundproofing?... please answer
sound isolation is okay not fantastic
@@ryanhostudio so I guess "okay" is good enough and I won't hear sound from headphones in my mic, ty
Hello! Thx for video. What do you think asus rog delta s core vs fiio jt1?
haven’t heard the rog delta
Ahhh shit....there's my reason to buy them... Been waiting for a review 😂
haha sorry for your wallet
@@ryanhostudiofacts 🙏
how does it compares with the best similarly priced iem ?
Hey there , I am looking to buy this as a replacement for my Truthear X crinacle Zero red ( yeah ik its good i just find them quiet/cant hear well footsteps ) , I am mainly looking it for only competitive games like escape from tarkov and valorant and some story mode games ,,, how is this for these games
i find them decent for competitive games like valorant but very good for story mode games!
Hi, how does it fare against hifiman He 400se?
i like the jt1 alot more, the he 400se is too bright and bass to lean for my taste
@@ryanhostudio Thanks for sharing your kind opinion. 👍🏼☺️
Is it worth to upgrade from shp9500 into this?
yes
Does Fiio get bought by Jade Audio or they get combine into 1. Ive been seeing the name Fiio with Jade audio alot in AliExpress.
Jade audio I think it's a sub brand of fiio
Jade audio is like the fiio sub brand for budget audio products iirc
looks like they selling like rgb keyboards and stuff in jade audio. Maybe there new gaming brand haha
@@ryanhostudio yeah I saw their keyboard. It's super expensive. Lol. I am into keyboard too. I do not think it's worth it imo. It's convenient for sure.
jade audio is a subsidiary brand of Fiio and aimed at young audiences and providing cheap but high quality mobile audio devices for new generations
would you recommend it over shp9500?
easily yes, shp9500 is meh
@@ryanhostudio have you tried it paired with the fiio k11?
Can I drive this headphones with the 7Hz 71 dongle DAC ? I'm curious
yeah anything can power it
How is the isolation on these cans ?
it’s only okay
Anybody know the maximum power input of the fiio jt1 in mW ?
Great review, for fps games these or the cloud 3?
if your looking for precise footsteps i’d get the cloud 3, if your looking for fun enjoyable bass and tuning i’d go for jt1
@@ryanhostudio Thanks for the reply. What's the bass like on the cloud 3?, if you don't mind me asking.
boring and flat
Hi, thanks for this review. A friend of mine recommended this to replace my Fidelio X2, how would you compare these two?
i recently heard the fidel’s x2hr, it’s pretty similar but it might be more detailed. I think there might of been a little bit treble on it but overall not sure if jt1 would be much of an upgrade
@@ryanhostudio Wow, thank you for such a rapid response. I don't actually looking for an upgrade, I'm just looking for a similar replacement so it won't be too much of a downgrade from X2. I'll be using it mainly for gaming. From my experience, I used to own an Urbanite and a Logitech G435 and they don't hold a candle to X2, so this might be it. Thanks again.
@@egoaeterno2347Is there any reason you can’t use the x2s for gaming?
@@ernestryles hi, both are broken. I love 'em to death, but it's time to try new ones, been using them since 2014/15 I think.
@@egoaeterno2347 ah that makes sense. Then something like these would be a great choice. It’ll probably be a little downgrade sq wise but still much better than most gaming oriented headphones.
Could you do a detailed video comparing OneOdio Pro 50 vs FiiO JT1 ? I feel both are cut-throat competition, but which is better ?
never tried the oneodio pro 50
but your comparing a cheap budget consumer company to a hardcore audiophile company most likely fiio will sound better
Oneodio is crap .
I have many of them like pro 50 pro 30 and they are really crap.
I thought they are good but after I bought Philips Fidelio x2hr,Philips Fidelio X3 ,Meze 109 Pro,Sony xm4,Sennheiser Momentum 4 and Philips Fidelio L4 I changed my mind about the oneodios.
Better buy the Fidelio x2hr or the fiio jt1
Can i use them without DAC? I'm looking to buy this for mostly games(fps+story) and casual music listening
yeah you can just plug them into a phone or computer
@@ryanhostudio aight thanks a lot!
First time Audiophile here, are these plug and play on the smartphone 📲 or do I need to purchase a DAC-Amp ? Please Advice. You Earned a New Subscriber 🎉🎉🎉😊
plug and play
@@ryanhostudio Oh! that's Awesome! Thanks A Zillion ✨👍😌
if you've tried the mdr7506, how does this compared to it?
i recently tried the mdr7506, its tuning is decent with more treble emphasis for sure than the JT1. I personally like the JT1 more, especially for the build quality and comfort alone is much better than the mdr7506.
@@ryanhostudio alright thanks for the reply, I'll get the JT1 :)
Hi, thank you for your review. In term of sound quality which one better Sony Mdr 7506 or FiiO JT1?
@@tctterry the jt1 feels more open, mdr does the intimate kind of sound in my experience. Get the JT1 for more comfort and wider range of music genres :)
@@johanescandraThanks for your kind advice. Planning to upgrade my Philip SHP 9500. 👍🏼☺️
This or the FT5 for gaming ?
depends on what type of gaming but jt1 better for competitive fps gaming
bro what about imaging and soundstage u didnt talk bout them
this is how i know you didnt watch the whole video i for sure spent a while on that lol
Would you call the sound signature close to neutral or v shaped? I'm looking for a mid-focused headphone (actually neutral-ish) with a lot of clarity and my other options are shp9500 and ath-m40x
basically neutral with bass boost, sounds very similar to ath m40x. not a fan of shp9500
@@ryanhostudioyou loved the shp years ago,I brought one because of your review😂
Is this driveable with dongle dacs ?
yes easily
@@ryanhostudio thankyou
