I've been using KZ Castor for the past 3 months. This is my first IEM. Previously I have used Oppo Enco Buds 2 which give the best music under 2K on TWS, before that I have used JBL C150SI, Boat Bassheads 900, Sony ZX110A, Boat Rocekerz 450. To comparing my previous experience on these headphones, KZ Castor is the best ever on my experience, I can say this as a beginner Audiophile. Usually I use headphones most of the time everyday, to play podcast for hours, to listen Western Classical, Jazz Classics, Modern Hip-hop, Pop, Rock, Tamil Retro and 90's music, KZ Castor is giving me the best experience in all aspects.
Same earphones i do have....after too many analysis i got oppo enco 2 after jbl C150si. But i'm feeling a pain after continuous hearing in oppo enco 2. Are you facing any issues in your iem ??

I bought VR500, and i really love that I can feel each instrument being played, I can differentiate between the instruments and I listen to lot of ambient music, it was nice investment.
Final VR500 user here . I ordered 7 hz zero and used it and then exchanged it for final vr 500 . its best in gaming on pc and mobile ( feels like wall hack ) . I play pubg pc bgmi valo and apex . for music its great too . if you listen Agar Tum Saath Ho by Arijit Singh ( high quality ) you will feel like Arijit Singh tumhare saath hai :D . 7hz zero was ok for music but not good for gaming . Final VR500 is great for long time listening which 7hz lacks . one more thing - team headphone zone is great . customer care is actually caring . they exchanged my iem without any trouble and within 5days which even flipkart fails to do
Thank you so much for your honest review! Your kind words just made our day! It’s an absolute delight to know that you loved the Final VR500, we hope you had a comfortable shopping experience and we can't wait to serve you again soon!
I bought the KZ Castor after watching this video. 5 mins of using it and I'm convinced it was worth every rupee. I have used plenty of BT earpods and wired earphones but man, this is something else! I also loved the music recommendations you sent with the package. Makes me glad I placed the order with you guys. Please make a video on best DACs as well.
@@kratos18By undertune, I'm guessing you want to reduce the bass. The default setting with all switches off is pretty good. Also, the bass from Castor is very clean and not like a "thump" like you hear in cheaper earphones.
@@headphone_zone wich one do you prefer for Comp Gaming and listening to music and watching movies the Blessing 3 VS Orchestra Lite VS Arate VS Supermix 4 ??
Hi! I enjoy listening to a lot of Indian classical fusion and indie songs. I prefer more defined vocals with background beats popping in between but I don't like more bass with fuzzy noise. Could you kindly suggest anyone for me from the above 🙏🏽@@RaghavSomani-HeadphoneZone
I bought kz castor and I love them. They are perfect for Indian audience as they have switches which DO make a difference in sound signature. Also they are not like my other IEMs which have high affinity towards highs and treble without wavelet/AutoEQ. You should push these in your offline stores.
this might be an offensive question to the hardcore audiophiles😅, but can you guys give some recommendations on good phones that are already usb c and dont rely on an outside DAC?
@@pkliskiki1800 any phone will do the job, you can watch video by crinacle why regular typec dongle will work just fine ,and you don't have buy expensive DACs☺️☺️
S23 S24 , the newer iphone models with type C. Basically most phones with flagship specs have DAC in-built. I am using a S23 and it has it built in. So if you go for an iem that is type C in connection and also claims to have DAC in-built in the iem connector, that's like you hit the jackpot.
@@rwiturajgogoi every phone has a dac. it's how you can hear what's being said during phone calls through the earpiece. or how the phone plays ringtones via the speaker. usb 3.1 spec even defines which 4 pins on usbc to use for analog audio. cheap poco phones implement those pins in their free usbc 3.5mm dongles despite the port only being usb 2.0 spec. the dongles doesn't even need a dac inside it.
can wholeheartedly recommend the Chu 2s, i myself have been using them for the past couple months for both casual listening purposes as well as some audio mixing work. they have a really deep (not loud) and clear low end and amazingly crisp highs, going from (pretty good) gaming headphones to these was like going from 720p30hz to 1080p60hz. the soundstage is just amazing and these are by far one of the best things i've purchased this year.

3.5mm(7hz salnotes zero 1) + dac(headphone zone dac) which works fine for me, they did say that their dac is powerful enough that we won't have any issues if we decided to upgrade our earphones/headphones but I haven't tested that as I'm stuck with my previous earphone, although I can say that the DAC does improve the audio quality, feels like there's an improvement in resolution and clarity. KZ castor is the godzilla of bass you will notice it in the first try but 0011 switch works best for everyone. It is good for gaming as well ( PUBG/BGMI) This IEM have best of both worlds you can tune it for clear mids and when you are in that bass head party mood you can switch to 1111 or 1110 By default these IEMs has a lot of bass which i did not like at first time trying after little bit of tuning these are the most fun/ enjoyable set of IEMs For Gaming ( PUBG/ BGMI ) requires 0011 switch configuration and mobile inbuilt Equalizer settings tuned/boosted( mids) for clear footsteps and directional Audio and better imaging Out of the box these are not perfect for gaming but with tuning it is so good and can even be considered for competitive gaming For music ❤
Great video as always, but one issue I've found is that the audio has just too much high pitch sounds or treble when listening on headphone/earphone. Maybe you could fix that while editing. No issues when playing on speaker but it's definitely jarring with the 's' sounds when listening on earphones.
Hey team, not really sure if I'm an audiophile but because my dad most definitely is, it's rubbed off onto me quite a bit and I have a question. From the earphones mentioned above, which one would you recommend? - given someone like me who not only plays games like Valo, CS, etc. but also listens to atleast 35-40mins if not 1 hr of music everyday (no specific genre) grew up having a preference for bass but have slowly been wanting to have a more holistic listening experience. For additional context, dad gifted me a Creative 2.1 set when I was in 5th grade(2011), then in college gifted me a Audio Technica's ATH M20x wired ones along with an Asus XONAR U3 USB soundcard(2017-18). I use the Audio Technicas minimally for either special chill occasions or dedicated movie sessions which are few and far between but have started looking to buy IEMs from a more daily use requirement. Looking forward to your quality advice!

Hey Headphone zone, a suggestion from my side. When you make videos like this, please usually pair them with dac/amps under that budget too. Because as you must have noticed, headphone Jacks are not available in the mainstream anymore. One more suggestion is, make sure you test the compatibility with Samsung smartphones. I have noticed what usually works for everything else in USB c, doesn't necessarily work for Samsung smartphones. Samsung has the highest smartphone market share in India your DD Hi-Fi dongle in collaboration with headphone zone is an excellent device but it explicitly states that it's not compatible with Samsung flagships, which is the big miss in my opinion. Long time headphone zone user here btw, here since 2017. I've bought RHA ma390, onemore single driver, mee audio m6 pro, final audio e3000c. I'm considering to all in for final audio e4000 but struggling to find an appropriate dac/amp (that can also take calls) dongle for my samsung smartphone. Hope you guys listen!❤
I use the RHA MA 390 that still works like a charm. I like the sound but feel the urge to upgrade with more clarity and more bass. Is there anything under 2000 that can outperform the RHA?
The RHA do have a cult following, but in our opinion there are a lot of IEMs that offer a refined sound. Some examples are the Tangzu Wan'er S.G.s, 7HZ Salnotes Zero, 7HZ X Crinacle Zero 2. Based on your personal preferences, you can pick one of the latest ones.
I already own Truthear - Hola from you guys and was really surprised to know that it has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

@@pkliskiki1800 any phone will do the job, you can watch video by crinacle why regular typec dongle will work just fine ,and you don't have buy expensive DACs☺️☺️

This IEM have best of both worlds you can tune it for clear mids and when you are in that bass head party mood you can switch to 1111 or 1110
By default these IEMs has a lot of bass which i did not like at first time trying after little bit of tuning these are the most fun/ enjoyable set of IEMs

Great video as always, but one issue I've found is that the audio has just too much high pitch sounds or treble when listening on headphone/earphone. Maybe you could fix that while editing. No issues when playing on speaker but it's definitely jarring with the 's' sounds when listening on earphones.
Thanks for the tip, we've noted the same!

Can you please suggest me an IEM from these which has a different sound signature than that of Truthear - Hola. I listen to almost every popular genre of music that is there.
You should probably check out the Headphone Zone X Tangzu Wan'er S.G.
I don't need bass. I need vocal n instrument to be heard more. Please suggest an IEM
