      Save your money and get Beyerdynamic DT 1990s you will thank me later. Been tryna use these for days now but can’t even wear them for more than 5-10 minutes before I just need to take them off because the middle of my noggon is hurting so much from the sheer about of pressure the AUDEZE Maxwells is pushing onto my head with the weight of them and I keep trying to adjust the leather strap from putting the straps to the lowest position which makes the AUDEZE Maxwell fall off my head and the middle position doesn’t go as far down as I need it to I need something in between the middle position and lowest position but there is no option. The strap just ain’t it bruhhhh isn’t as plushy as the Steel Series Nova pro wireless strap and doesn’t give as much plush and give in then and the leather strap is way more sturdy and only stays into one place and doesn’t move. Everytime I wear the AUDEZE Maxwell the middle part of my head where the leather strap rests on and puts all the pressure from the leather strap and headphones on every single time I feel pressure there I feel so much pain it’s unbearable to wear the headphones and causing me to get headaches and migraines and wanna throw up and ion know what to do cuz these sounds so god damn good too good for me not to stop wearing them and all ion wanna do is just wear them and get that 3D immersive clear nice crisp audios with great sound stage and sound imaging and positioning and just listen to how good these sound and are but can’t even do that since my head is always in pain when wearing these and because they are so heavy too heavy for me my neck is also in pain causing my neck to be in a F1 Lando Norris neck training for the high velocity G forces pain and now my neck is so sore after wearing these. We just need a lighter more comfortable head strap and more adjustable sizing AUDEZE Maxwell and we’re set for life and can finally have endgame cans and get back to sound horing and wall banging enemies in game!!! The only other headphones to ever come perfect in comfort are the Beyerdynamic DT1990s and ever since I’ve tired those they feel like clouds on my head even lighter than the Hyper X Cloud 2 and feel so comfortable I forget that ion even wearing them and I don’t feel anything on my head and I can get 24/7 all day comfort with these and never have to take them off this is what we need form the AUDEZE Maxwells!!!

    Thanks for the update! always good to see a long term impression on a product your thinking about getting, for me I have been using the 560s for ages and have been really loving them but I just miss my wireless headphones, the one question I would have and I know you did touch on it in the video. I am not looking for class leading footstep audio in FPS games but I am also not looking to compromise on what I have currently just for a better immersion experience / story driven feel - I'm not sure if you have tried the 560s or not but I think that the imaging is great and while not the absolute best they still do a great job, would you say your comprising by using the maxwells for FPS gaming or would you say that they are still perfectly fine for this use case and you wouldn't say you feel at a disadvantage?

    • @ryanhostudio
      @ryanhostudio  4 місяці тому +1

      ive tried 560s for music before and its pretty good for the price, I have the drop PC38x which has a similar build quality and angled drivers, and based on that I would say the footsteps are better on something like 560s than the audeze maxwell. But the audeze maxwell will have more bass and detail, but 560s will most likely sound more airy so depends on you

    Hey Ryan awesome review! My Maxwell's were having the same volume issue so i found a fix and it worked for me. There's a volume bug on windows, where sometimes the windows driver became quiet. reinstall the driver by going to:
    Device Manager -> Sounds, video and game controller -> double click Game-Audeze Maxwell -> Driver -> Update Driver -> Browse my computer for drivers -> Let me pick from a list of available driver on my computer -> Double click USB Audio Device
    I also restarted my pc afterwards. This increased my volume by 40% and i can't listen over 80% volume or i'll it will destroy my ear drums lol Hope this works for you!

    I've only used closed-back headphones and have never used open before. I'm looking for headphones to use on my PC and PS5 playing both competitive multiplayer games and immersive/cinematic single-player story games. I want something that does a good job for both. So far, you and other reviewers have convinced me to get the Maxwell and use eq for competitive games. However, I've been thinking of trying out open-back headphones.
    The two I have been looking at are the PC38X and the TYGR 300r. I have heard both have a better soundstage than the Maxwell making them more immersive in that aspect. Out of the two, which would be the best for my use case? I am not planning on getting an amp or dac so the headphones would be plugged into my mobo or PS5 controller. I can maybe try getting a mod mic for the TYGR too since it doesn't have a mic. The only thing is that it can sometimes be noisy in the house + I don't like that there's sound bleed with open-back headphones. I'm wondering if I should still get one of the open-backs so I can have a better soundstage.
    Should I get the TYGR 300r or PC38X, or just go with the Audeze Maxwell?

    • @ryanhostudio
      @ryanhostudio  2 місяці тому +1

      hi still own all 3 of those right now, I would say PC38x for sure over the tygr 300r. The PC38x certainly has more soundstage and open type of sound over the Maxwell. The Maxwell is a safer bet with isolating sound and it also has more bass quantity too

    Hello, please help me with my dilemma.
    I've been thinking about buying Audeze Maxwell for a week now, but I've read a lot of scary stories on Reddit and other sites. I'm from Russia, dug through the entire Russian and English-language Internet, reviewed a bunch of reviews and re-read a bunch of reviews, but still there is a great fear to buy these headphones. I live 400 km east of Moscow and even further from St. Petersburg, so to change the membranes (in case of their rupture) will be problematic, because in my city there are no specialized services. So far I know only two masters who repair them, but they are both in St. Petersburg.
    I plan to use them only for home use, just sit at the PC, play and listen to music in parallel, the volume on Windows is always 20-30%, I don't like to listen to more than half. I will definitely not use them for walking, if only to move around the apartment sometimes. Sometimes sharply remove the headphones or shake my head when they enter the room.
    Because of the reviews read that the membrane can burst just from the “strict look”, even if you put the headphones on the table on the ear cushions, so you need to buy a stand. Also, I have read all kinds of stories about how the membrane burst within a year (after a week-month-half a year, etc.). Because of this I'm very scared to spend money on them, because the price tag is big for me and maybe they will be my first headphones in this price segment.
    I heard that they should be very gently put on and take off, turn on only before putting on and can not touch the cups at all, otherwise it creates pressure and the membrane goes in waves or bursts at all.
    I've heard the headphones are much more reliable than past Audeze models, so please answer: is it true what people say on the forums, or is it hyperbole that they break easily? Can the headphones survive an accidental drop while still maintaining sound quality?
    These are my first magnetoplanars, and I have a longtime dream of touching the world of this technology and audiophilia. I realize that the technology is very fragile, and my hands do not grow from my shoulders, but I always try to treat the equipment with care, although there are still accidents. Still I realize that maybe these headphones are not for me, so is there any replacement among dynamic headphones?
    Please help, because I can not find any peace, I really want to try magnetoplanars because of the praised sound quality, but in general I do not want to risk and then be disappointed in the purchase.
