    I'm in Montreal and we are locked down too. Whenever I need a little positivity there's always a nice Chetna video where I can watch a sweet lady make delicious food! Thanks for the morale boost!

    Well, you taught me a new trick today. Putting a little bit of butter on the bread when it comes out of the oven to make it shiny. Never heard of that before. Never too old to learn a new trick. Thank you

    Brilliant recipe and the bread is totally top shelf. I made this today and have no reason for any other recipe - it's AMAZING! Thanks, Chetna! Worth it just to smell it baking, but everything about the look, texture, aroma, taste, all of it is just perfect.

    I watch UA-cam bread videos all the time. I have never followed one. You made it look so easy. I took the leap and made it. Fabulous. Now I have to stop myself from eating it all in one sitting. Next...your brioche!

    Made this, it came out absolutely gorgeous. It's freezing cold here also! But, maybe a handy tip- you can use a microwave to rise/proof yeast doughs by putting them in and leaving the door cracked open to keep the light on. The bulb generates just a bit of heat, turning the microwave into a handy proofing box. Love your channel Chetna, you have helped make civilized possible (and tastier!) this past year. :)

    Hello Chetna, this looks like a wonderful bread! Just wondering approximately how much time this should be kneaded by hand, since I have no kneading machine. Same as the machine? More or less? I really don't want to overwork it, as that has happened me too much in the past.

    Made this bread and omitted the salt because I used salted butter. Now I know not to do that next time. I could tell it needed salt. Thanks for the easy recipe Chetna! It makes bread baking a little less scary for me.

Hamare sath bhi yahi hua jab humne vlogging chalu ki hamare husband ne strictly mana kar dia.. but kyuki hame bachpan se photography and videography ka bohot shauk tha, humne mana karne ke bawajood bhi inse chhup kar vlogging ki bachcho ne hume support kia... Shuru me kaafi dikkat hui.. but hamara interest dekh kar inhone ne bhi finally haan kar dia...magar rishtedaar abhi bhi galat hi smjhte hain. hum utne bade vlogger to nahi ban paaye magar fir bhi vlogging karte rehte hai bhale hi views naa ke barabar milte hain... logo ko batana chahte hai ladies bhi Vlogging kar skti hain or karna bhi chahie... @@maryamyusuf1515 I think that would be pretty difficult, given that the flour would fly around. Also, as a rule, the salt shouldn't touch the yeast until it is a bit mixed in because it will make the yeast not work so well.

    I was always tought to turn the dough over in the bowl to coat the dough with oil. Am I just being overly cautious?

    • @jillanderson2596
      @jillanderson2596 3 роки тому

      John Schneider, I do not bake but I asked my hubby & kids and got 3 of the same answers (kind of)...hubby says “vegetable oil, just like grandma did it”; kids both say “ok, depends on the bread”. A plain loaf, olive oil tastes good, but any other bread-oh my goodness they made me a homemade rye loaf this way-coat the bowl with butter then smushed the dough around the bowl and it was to die for!!! Love 💕 them for making me bread! Stay safe!!! 😊

    • @jonap5740
      @jonap5740 3 роки тому +2

      It would have many holes in it when it was baked. Did you see the right top corner of Chetna's almost perfect loaf, just at the end of the video? It would be filled with that sort of thing. Same if you don't knead it enough before you shape it for the oven.

    • @bonnieantonini
      @bonnieantonini 3 роки тому +3

      @@jonap5740 Interesting. So if I were to bake an Italian loaf where I wanted large holes, I wouldn't knock all the air out? Chetna baked a sandwich loaf where one would want a tight crumb, I suppose. Thank you so much, Jona P for your information! Food science is so fascinating!!!
