I followed this recipe two times. First time I got a bit scared I felt the dough got too soft so I added extra flower which made the bread hard. Second time I follow this video word to word and guess what! It was perfect and soooooo yummy. Thank you for the recipe.
Summer pudding and bread and butter pudding are stunning made with brioche. I also use brioche mix when I make cinnamon rolls or Nutella toasted hazelnuts rolls. That is why I don't have a waistline lol. Great video as always.
Made this today and all I can say is its delicious! The dough was a bit sticky, but manageable. I urge you to have a go...I had my first slice (!) with blueberry jam 🤤🤤🤤
Wonderful video, Chetna. Your passion alone is enough to make any sane person want to bake Brioche....and I bake it a lot for my wife, believe me! I produce exactly the same squeals and shouts of delight as you when it comes out of tbe oven. I am a man, and I don't care. 😃 Thanks again. 👍
Ma'am You are soooooooooo multi- multi - talented & May God Bless You & especially Bless Your Dear Son . I am so Blessed & so much motivated & inspired by all your numerous Receipies in sooooo many cuisines nobody has ever done that . Ma'am You deserve an International Award for all your extensive , hard work I genuinely feel .
Hey its you, the lady with the cool orange tennis shoes from Bake Off! Really enjoyed watching you bake and learn and not doubt yourself to bake under pressure. I love spices too. Look forward to seeing what youve presented here. My first day was this brioche, one of my favs!!! Good luck luck with your channel and your book successes. ❤️
I’m not into eggs, so this video is just for entertainment, but I’m watching it while scarfing down your version of Bombay sandwich. This mint coriander chutney is something else...
Hi! Chetna.. wanted to make it into a loaf without making the balls..any rolling/shaping suggestions ? Basically want to make Bostok..but will enjoy the fresh Brioche..ur making my mouth water!!
I tried this recipe, i think the salt was too much. 2tsp. is like 13g. the brioche turn a bit salty. but it came out nicely from the oven. 8g of salt maybe good enough. But 9ver all its a very good recipe. 👍
Hi Chetna, I tried your recipe, and it didn’t work out for me. I left it in the fridge overnight and let it come to room temperate for several hours. It doubled in size however it’s not as high or fluffy as yours. It sort of baked as dinner rolls. Did I go wrong in letting it prove too long? Thank you for your help.
Yes brioche bread pudding next..... Yummy yummy. Oh dear these recipes are a massive war for those on diet. Is this brioche recipe in one of your books? Hugs from Italy. Stay safe. I m going to try this brioche tomorrow. 😘😘
Hello Chetna Just found your channel and subscribed and I'm so excited to try some of your recipes! I do have a question? Were you on the Great British baking show?
You look gorgeous. Is that grey hair or have you Platinum coloured. I just am so lost starting to grey and here you are fabulously fashioanble in it!!!
Chetna, think we may have different definitions of “so easy” particularly when most of us don’t have the luxury of a stand mixer! Looks delicious though but going to have to buy mine.
Lovely recipie Chen’s but you’re tin was small, platting it would have been nice but it was good effort texture was fab too! The first effort is always hard ..I will definetly try your recipie thank you and keep baking
Please Please Please......can you give equivalent of grams to cups, etc! Thank You, even if you add like subtitles that would be helpful....remember a lot of us (Americans) are not yet using grams and such....
Baking and cooking are very different for baking you need to read a lot of book to make beautiful pastry I suggest reading books like modernist bread to learn how to make a good brioche
This is the first time I'm making bread. It's the first day of spring and your recipe has allowed me to produce my first ever bread(brioche loaf). It turned out superb🤩 Thank you🙏🏼
Going to give this a go, but either divide between 2 tins (because I like a loaf I can cut and fit in toaster), and top with raw sugar and cinnamon, like a French bakery used to do. Or use one half to make a German plum cake (aka Zwetschgenkuchen).
Thanks for this! I made it yesterday and it ballooned out of the tin even more than yours did, but it’s still a fabulous loaf of brioche. Excited to see what you’ll suggest we do with it :)
Hi! Is it possible to use this dough for cinnamon rolls. ( Sorry, I'm not a baker or a cook, I mostly rely on UA-cam videos, so please excuse me if the question comes across as very basic) . I love brioche and I love cinnamon rolls and I was wondering if I could combine the two?
After watching and reading a few comments, I decided to also follow the instructions word for word, however caster sugar is almost impossible to find so I ended up making my own with a new coffee grinder, ah la vache!!!! The brioche was the best I've ever tasted this life time. Airy, light, buttery, and an unbelievable mouth feel. Thank you for sharing your genius!! For an upcoming brunch for my brothers and sisters, I'm a middle child, I'll be making 24 of your filled doughnuts, 8 vanilla cream, 8 Nutella, and 8 lemon filled to the to serve with this brioche as a French Toast with Canadian back bacon and warm maple syrup from Quebec. I'll be using the rest of the vanilla cream custard over fresh strawberries and bananas to finish it up. I think it will be a great success. Should I charge them a fee to eat? Thanks for your inspiration.
This looks amazing! I can’t wait to try it. Do you have a printed version of the recipe and also where do you get your measuring spoons and that lid to cover the rising dough! So glad to have found you on You Tube and IG. I loved you on the Great British Baking Show!!

Summer pudding and bread and butter pudding are stunning made with brioche. I also use brioche mix when I make cinnamon rolls or Nutella toasted hazelnuts rolls. That is why I don't have a waistline lol. Great video as always.
Sounds great!

I had to Google and get the conversion. 3 3/4 cups
I try it but it did cot come out like that😔
my only issue is that I don't have a stand mixer. Can this recipe be done with a handheld mixer? I think the dough is too thick 😭
Yes but you’re gonna have to workkkk
