There's a mini-series by a UA-cam channel called "Any Austin", where he basically goes around Skyrim deducing the unemployment rates of various cities based on where npc's are at any given time, relative to the locations. Despite it being all a joke, I've always liked the idea of trying to view Skyrim as if it were a real place, and determining whether or not its locations were consistent enough to warrant its existence. I feel like this video pairs up *really* nicely with that idea.
there's also the channel Beerevity which does videos for Genshin impact, some challenge runs but also evaluations of town amenities and infrastructure like if guards are good at their jobs or if taverns are up to code
If you do a part 2 of this, then the home you get at the end of Clockwork is totally worth a look. I don't think i've seen any player home with an interior like it
Clockwork is one of the best player homes and I definitely recommend it for a video, as well as for a playthrough. I just don't like how long the quest is to get the house every playthrough. That being said, I love the atmosphere, the amount of stuff you have to display items (one of the biggest reasons I like the mod so much), the overall creepiness of the characters voices, the location. I really can't praise it enough. And it blew my mind it was so old. Definitely worth a look.
When i clicked on this video I thought this was going to be a ranking of vanilla player homes by safety standards. I was pleasantly surprised to see you showcase modded player homes and even some lesser known ones. You are a great narrator and I'm shocked that you don't have more subscribers. You definitely earned one today!
On the flip side of what you said I was very happy as someone playing original Skyrim on a PS3 and Logan wove in that these were all mods. It’s nice to know from the start and not feel looked down upon for still playing the OG.
This should absolutely become a sub-series on its own, the sheer amount of player housing on offer, not only standalone but contained inside bigger mods, leaves so much room for comfy pondering
It's possible the trees in skyrim are resistant to water/decay, like cedars for example are irl, but yes. Historical "toilets" AKA the benches you sat on with chamberpots underneath, also called commodes, were typically made of wood, so...
Honestly the tardis effect is such a real problem with modded homes. Usually it’s ignorable since the base game has a mild version of this effect solely because you need environments to be about 15-30% larger than what they would be so collision isn’t as much of a problem. Still modded homes take this, and ramp it up to 11 at times. I remember an old house mod for legendary edition which was a manor with a detached bathhouse that was easily double the size of the outside world structure. I will say if you ever do a second version of this, or do other games (like fallout) anything by Elianora is well worth the look. She is the queen of cozy and clutter, and can really make a house feel like a home.
@metronicmagician1816 yeah, it doesn't really bother me most of the time since like you said it's pretty necessary, but sometimes it's too in your face to ignore. And yeah, Elianora is extremely talented!
Ive seen a few player home mods use magic or daedric plains as explanations for the tardis effect. Big fan of the ones that try to make it make sense rather than just knowing we will instinctually ignore since we've seen it so much. Underground homes are great at not having the tardis effect, which is nice. Or well, moreso, you dont have an outside dimension to compare it against lol
@ yeah. Honestly one of my favorite homes was the portable home mod since it fully plays with the tardis/shrinking down idea. All of elder scrolls is just a dream so why not get fucky and acknowledge it.
Y'know, Whitepeak Tower looks like an amazing haunted place in the making - give it a few decades, let stuff rot and fires die, add a lovely ghost or two, and it's gonna be a real nice (and/or dangerous) place to visit. It was a wonderful video, Logan - thank you, and keep on keepin' on, alright? :D
Pianos are also technically percussion instruments because the sound is made by a "hammer" hitting a string. Usually, people will just lump anything similar to a piano like an organ or harpsicord as a separate group of instruments. For example, pipe organs could technically classified as wind instruments.
Since you made a semantics based correction based on a common misconception, I feel it necessary to say pianos don’t have hammers; they have mallets. They’re made of different materials and serve different purposes. (Ironically like how pianos’ different purpose within arrangements is in part why they’re percussion)
@@andres.5204They may technically be mallets, but their technical term is hammers when speaking of pianos. As in if you took it out of the piano and used it as a tool it would indeed be a mallet, but when being used for a piano it is technically called a hammer, not to be confused with the tool though.
My favorite type of "player home" is the hidden in plain sight type of retreat. Like you go into a tavern, make your way to the attic only to find it small, dusty and cramped. Then you walk to a seemingly random wall and move a candle holder which opens a previously hidden room. Going inside, you find the room absolutely tiny but containing everything you need. Not much in terms of crafting and cooking, though. Maybe and alchemy table. If you want food, you get your ass outside and buy it from the tavern your room is hidden inside. The owner knows, or at the very least suspects, that you might be living in their walls but they pretend not to know because you always leave VERY generous tips. That right there is what I yearn for. The closest example I can think of from the top of my head is the room you can buy in the Winking Skeever, which comes with JK's Solitude mod, I'm pretty sure. It's not exactly hidden but it's close enough. My all time favorite house mod is Tiny Living. I dislike a lot of space (in a game) as you don't need it and Tiny Living lives up to its name is it is SUPER cramped but contains just about everything an aspiring adventure would need. Sadly, the author never updated it so the mod is for OG Skyrim only.
My favorite player homes were always the portable ones. I love seeing how mod authors justify their traveling bases. Magic? What kind? Science? Explain it a little! That sort of stuff.
Your videos are straight up therapeutic, they just wisp me up and draw me in for the runtime and make me forget about everything else for a bit. Thank you for the baller content man, I hope you keep making videos.
Piano isn’t a string instrument. It just has strings. Because of both the means of which sound is produced compared to other string instruments and the instruments role within orchestral arrangements, it’s classified as a percussion instrument

Back in the Skyrim Legendary days, my favorite player home mod was the "Legend of the Eagle's Nest", a quaint little castle perched atop a mountain near Riverwood. It had all my player character could ask for, with the entire smelting/crafting workshop as well as a training area located safely outside. When playing Skyrim SE earlier this year, I kept it quite light on mods, only using some nicer visuals and QoL mods, but not much in terms of new content. Logan's uploads actually make my day
It's December now!
Yes, that was a chem trail
I like these videos. They are quite entertraining, i could watch them all back to rack easily
In fact, i may even do that right now
lmao back to rack. Thanks for watching
Wait a minute... didn't you already upload this like yesterday? Could've sworn so. It even had like 24 views right?
I uploaded it and made it unlisted so I could publish it today. I forgot that people can still see unlisted videos from inside a playlist.
This is such a good idea
If you are interested in it, I think it would be cool to see a where are we now video on red dead redemption 2 :)
Bro I need more of these films please!

“I love Skyrim”
Shows morrowind
Checks out
Or in my case, When you kill Paarthurnax and you need a place to relax and crack open a beer!
@@Vickyvee97 Unrelatable; nobody kills Paarthurnax 🙃
I'm 37 years old and appreciate the cold days of North Idaho lol. I also have about 12,000 hours into Skyrim across the Switch, PS, Xbox and currently PC. Modded Skyrim will always be a fav. I only play a few hours a week now because I'm being a husband now and raising 3 amazing daughters, but now my parents are empty nesters, so my dad has sunk about 5,000 into modded Fallout 4. Lol
Hell yeah. Good to see it runs in the family, I'm sure your kids are gonna be putting in their video game dues, too!
I 100% all the achievements on the xbox one version. It took so long, especially the Thieves Guild! But I was so proud 😊
Dude. Awesome vid. Perfect. Fun as fuck
@@robertparkside2571 thanks for watching 🙏
skyrim is where i go to ignore human life an admire the capability of animals that arn't human.
if you do another video reviewing player homes, please review Elysium Estate. It's my second favorite home behind clockwork castle.
@@lunathecutest6652 Elysium Estate is really good, I considered it for this video, but ultimately decided to show off more lesser known homes.
O6:53. No. Pianos are technically percussion instruments. Hammer-struck tuned percussion.
🤰
Any chance of checking out player homes from other CK / Gamebryo games? (Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas, Fallout 4, etc.)
Totally not asking cause i'm a New Vegas modder.
Pianos are classified as percussion instruments, not string instruments
