You can make ramen burritos but breaking the ramen up and adding a little extra water to the bag then take and roll the bag as tightly as possible to squeeze out excess water and let it sit. If it’s cold water it kinda falls apart but hot water it melts together to make one giant noodle
Wow--good going on the record 30.5 miles in a day!! Bummer about running out of fuel. My brother and I just did a little stretch of the PCT close to Tahoe. We definitely boiled water for our meals.
Still cranking out the miles and still smiling!!! Nearly at the end of the Guthook Map? Are you going to do the Oregon 24hr challenge? The way these miles are increasing part of me thinks yes but the other part of me knows how gruelling that will be especially with the heat dome. Really enjoying the frequent vid drops and thanks for having us along for the ride!!! ❤
Heading Somewhere is another couple walking the PCT. Both excellent channels and both well worth a watch. Watching 2 channels means I get double the vids and it's nice to see what each sees. No two channels see the same things or film the same so I'm enjoying it. Will definitely be following these guys on their next journey too.
@@schmitzcj yep, both amazing. I like the map at the end and the music but in contrast I love the minimal music here. Both great channels in their own ways. Another one I was watching was Nikki Hughes but she wasn't as good as these guys. You following any other good watches. Wanted to follow 3 or 4 and get a video every night. Regardless I have really enjoyed this year and how everyone has coped with the heat dome. On a tangent I went and watched Second Chance Hiker and Little Bee from the other year. That was a great story. All this has got me hooked and I now follow Kyle Hates Hiking who vids all different hikes and previously the AT. He has a great Podcast which interviews different through hikers if you want to listen to their stories. It's free too. Nice easy listen and you get to hear their highs and lows on the trails. But if you know of another 2021 thru-hiker that is a good watch I'd appreciate it. I'm no Hiker like all these guys, their guts and determination and pure grit have me in awe. I fall over going to the toilet. HRC on the PCT is brilliant too. She seems a bit hyped but she is a Geology Teacher walking with a Senior and her Daughter, they push out the miles too and are in Oregon. She is doing it for her School but the kid must be about 12 or 13 and pushes the miles out too. No matter how far any channel gets I have deep respect for their achievements, something which I couldn't do.
Your body’s look different your getting very fit your zen is coming through as well when I watch these I do get jealous but I gotta work…next year perhaps.
Wow, that scenery is stunningly beautiful. The music is well selected, too. Did you choreograph the synchronized lifting of the packs at the beginning?
I don't suppose you two will be in Ashland on the 30th and 31st. We'll be there to start our Oregon section hike on August 1st. Anyway, let us know - We'd love to buy you guys dinner and beers! Best. Larry
It funny, at the beginning of the video you said, "good morning" at the same time my wife said, "good night" I'm east coast,.. so when the video dropped, I had to watch it.
So cool that there are places like Etna, CA.
Enjoy the Emerald Triangle and all it's bounty.
And #CalFire is awesome!

I watched all of your videos last night! So fun to see your journey! Thanks for sharing! I’d love to do a thru hike 😊
Lovely couple too, no drama, no hype just keeping it real. I did like you about 2 weeks ago and loved it.

Currently in Ashland now. Wish we could have crossed paths. Hoping to be close to Washington by the 1st. Happy Trails!
@@walkingwithpurpose4149 you guys are really moving, how you push these 25 and 30 miles is beyond me, respect.❤
How long did you cold soak the ramen and what all was in it?

First of all, I love your videos! Thank you for sharing! Second, what kind of tent are you using?
We have a zpacks duplex. Zipper on one door just stopped working. Might have to replace it before the end.
@@walkingwithpurpose4149 oh no, that's a bummer! Thanks for the information!
Wow! U-turn lost a lot of weight!
What section is this? I think I want to try it in a month or so
Castle Crags to Etna (PCT CA section P)
First?
Looks like you beat numbers to it this time lol
First to comment or first to watch? Love this channel ❤
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling I'll admit I commented before I watched the whole thing.
