San Luis Obispo is "not" in Northern California. Neither is "Ridgecrest."
Title of the video should have been: “Central California Living For The Rich”
❗
Pronounced San “Lewis” by real locals. And it’s not in Nor Cal
I lived in Willits, Ca. Mendocino County. Most folks in Mendo consider any place south of Hopland to be So. Cal!
I live in northern California, REAL northern California, Chico, Oroville, Paradise area. The title of this video should be, "The Best Places for Millionaires to Live in Northern California." And this is if you like smog and congestion for most of these places. I lived in San Jose for 10 years before moving up here and never want to go back. Up here, we have lakes, forests, trails, year-round sports activities, and many of the amenities that were narrated here. And the cost of living is a lot lower. We may not be as fancy as the places mentioned in this video, but we like it that way. Simple and relaxed. But if your style is for these 20 Best Places, more power to you.
Sorry you're such a hater because some want a better quality of life and work towards that instead of settling for some place like CHINO
@@kimberlyward350 Who's the hater?
#1. I said REAL northern California because like other comments have said, some of these places are not in northern California.
#2. I mentioned millionaires because a lot of these places have such high real estate prices and costs of living. Don't take "millionaires" literally.
#3. I mentioned smog and congestion because I've been there and done that.
#4. I never said I hated that way of life or the people who choose to live that way. My last comment was, "But if your style is for these 20 Best Places, more power to you."
That's fine with me.
#5. It's CHICO (northern California), not CHINO (southern California).
I'm in Hayfork, to me your a southerner.
Menlo Park is a San Jose suburb? 😅
No. Nor is SLO considered to be part of Nor Cal.
😅
@@jim72068 druetad…I mean Truedat
"San LOUISE Obispo is my hometown" lolol!
I can’t stomach the IA robotic mispronunciation of this video.
very disappointed. try something north os sacramento.
You are forgetting the commute cost the tax base...The rent is expensive, if you don"t own.. Oh never mind..
Any place south of Sacramento suck
'Orientated' is not a word.
It is a word..
If yo can afford these places you will be happy anywhere you choose. BTW average wages tells you that you cannot afford to live there.
Palo Alto is a wonderful place to live.
Very stilted Artificial Intelligence voice with several mispronunciations of names.
The AI voice drove me nuts - I barely made it to Monterey.
San Ramon an excellent city is not on the list! Why?
PALO ALTO..
Don’t SoCal, NoCal
Monterey is Central California.
Almost all of their picks are central CA. Bogus video
Not one of these cities is in northern California. Yes you picked a few around San Francisco but not one north of the golden gate bridge. So perhaps you should change the title to Central California
That is a lie. I live in Roseville and I am well north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Artificial Intelligence at work. When AI said it lived San Luis Obispo all its life, but wasn't pronouncing it correctly, what does that tell you.
IKR?
You're mixing in the Central Coast
San Mateo is just recently listed as high crime area.
Family “orientated” is not a word, try “oriented”
Northern California past north of San Francisco over the GG Bridge. You are full of bull crap. All the places you site are jammed full .
There are no best cities in California unless you can afford to live in the state.
Most of these cities are central cali you are way off from notheren cali, north of Sacramento would be northern ca
North of Fresno is northern California
Try Humboldt County.
Truth!
Sacramento is Northern California cutoff line is San Jose to Stockton from there south ward is Central California up to Bakersfield.
San Luis Obispo / Bakersfield marks the line from south to north for me. North of Sacramento is.. wannabe Jefferson.
I live in northern California.100 miles north of Sacramento, in Chico it's 100 degrees at 6 pm. An fires all summer long . The median home price is 465000.00 and the average pay is around 30.00 hr
I lived in Chico for 35 years. Great place to raise children
I lived in Chico until a few years ago - the fires and increasing heat has made it undesirable for me. It's also becoming very crowded and has lost a lot of it's earlier charm. The people are great though - friendly and kind.
I lived in Cameron Park for forty five years. It’s a wonderful place to live! I remember when there were dirt roads in the main part of town. And Folsom was the closest place to buy milk. My, how both places have grown.
I’ve lived in NorCal for 50+ years glad to see you didn’t point out any place in Marin or Humboldt counties
I grew up in Novato during my teens years. Not much to do except wasting money on the arcades.
What’s wrong with Humboldt County?
@@shelleekurtz4842 nothing that’s the point
@@tommydong8070 lot worse places You could have grown up in to
Or Sonoma, or Napa, or Lake county. And that is a good thing. All are great places to live and we don't need any more people or they will turn out like half the places listed. Tract housing an nothing more in 16 of this top 20.
So far I don’t agree with your chosen city’s for two reasons. One, I lived at all these places , and two, to high a price tag for all the living expenses, unless you have a job and internet business, your not going to make it. Unless you don’t like to eat or something.
another computer generated voice-can't pronounce the names correctly. Not all the towns are in N CA
You must be high....
Try doing on site research before you post local government or fictitious figures. Best places should be for AVERAGE FOLKS . Most Americans cannot afford million dollar homes.
Oakland and San Francisco if you're Asian. You'll have a short life.
Clovis? If my old brain works at all it’s in the Central Valley only a few miles from Fresno. San Louis Obispo is central coast, and it’s pronounced San Lewis Obispo or just SLO town. If the AI was born there, it should know that!
a video full of errors, many of the cities are not in northern CA, an AI artificial fake voice narrator that incorrectly pronounces many of the words and cities
Ridgecrest is not in NorCal. Also crime is not low in Roseville how the heck is Clovis number one on this list seeing as how it's right next to crappy crappy Fresno. Also it's in central California. Look at a damn map
Ha ha . I live in Fresno
This is like asking what were the best cities to live in in the USSR.
So says the Electric mechanical voice 😂
Los Altos is now better than San Mateo, Palo Alto and Menlo Park. Similar amenities, but much easier to find a free parking space. Also crime is much higher in Palo Alto. It’s similar to San Jose on per capita basis. Huge amount of crime at the Stanford Shopping Center. I am afraid to go there as well as University Avenue. Finally, the architecture charm is lost with the construction of ugly high density housing. This needs to be updated.
Dublin over Pleasanton? Dublin has no downtown, no identity, it is just a bedroom community. I would choose Livermore, San Ramon, Pleasanton over Dublin in the San Francisco East Bay Area.
These homes can only be afforded by the rich. San Luis Obispo is a farm centered city. The rest are only for the rich. All are great places to live except they are in Commifornia. This State wants to control everything about your including how you breath. The supermajority democrap legislature doesn't know anything the tax and spend. Deficit, bah, just tax them some more and we'll continue to spend. Unfortunately they don't spend the money on anything useful. Buy and electric car but don't use any electricity because you will bring down the grid. If you live in California flee if you can. IF you don't live here unless you are a socialist commie, go some place that is America.
I agree that San Luis Obispo, Ridgecrest, and Clovis belong on another list. With those off the list, the combined cities of Folsom+ Eldorado Hills and Granite Bay+Roseville+Rocklin make up most of the rest of the top ten and confirm what those of us that live here already know. Sacramento metro suburbs are awesome. Shhhh! Please don’t tell anybody. 😊
Yes, I love living in Roseville.
These AI voices drive me nuts. Like "I"ve lived in San Luis Obispo all my life..." then pronounces it wrong! Also, Clovis is not in Northern California. Where did they get this script? And the prices, incomes are actually too low.
Imagion thst zyuba and b Sitter just wasnt mrmentiined ur pribably right it sucks
Clovis is not in Northen California. It's in central California
One question, does Palo Alto have a Walmart?
No. But you can buy a Gucci shoe tree.
Nope! There’s no Walmart in Palo Alto.
Just a note some of the places mentioned here are hotter than hell in the summer. We're talking three digits a good part of the summer. If you love the heat check out the places that are in central California in Northern California. You won't be just appointed.
Thank you I was just about to say that. I live in Northern California that's sac and bay area🤷🏽♀️
Anything above Sacramento, northwest and northeast to the Oregon border is Northern California. 😮
I think your map is broken.
Lol...like this video was made from another country. they know nothing about the bay area or northern california🤣
Northern California is Sacramento and above. We are totally different than the rest of California.
I disagree, Northern California is Red Bluff and above.
Look at a map, Sacracrapo is in the middle of the state, as is San Franfreako.
When the big one finally hits and all that garbage is under water we will all be better off.
How is Ridgecrest on this list? Northern CA? I swear people like you do understand California at all. Look at a map.
What propaganda video is this, best schools?! Business friendly?! California ranks 34th out of 50! Housing costs? This video is a joke!
what is missing in this video, is map location of the city as you mention it. put please keep it up longer in the screen. hate when utbers post something to read and there no time to do it.
Most of the cities that were mentioned are central California.
Oops. And MONEY is nothing to be considered. Haha.
Home prices and incomes are largely underestimated.
The down side is homeless are flocking to these cities.
what about Marin County-the nicest, best educated county in CA. $ of the towns named are around Sacramento-terrible weather.
A lot has changed in 8 months.
Not one city in north California
I agree with the next comment just below me. Cali is three states or sections. You have three sections, LA/Hollywood, then Central Cali such as SF and Sacto, then Northern California. Smallcommm
How about elk grove, pinole, even daly city in the coast side of san francisco i know is foggy but very relaxing and close by everything try it you may like it,next to golden gate park olympic golf course and 20 minutes from san frisco airport 😊
I lived in Cameron Park when I first moved to CA from New Jersey. Now in Santa Cruz for over 20 years. Absolute paradise!!! They didn’t mention that we have a Boardwalk. I agree that these cities are more “Central” CA … 👍🏻
funny !
The best place where i live
🤣🤣🤣🤣
WARNING: do NOT move to Northern California! So unfriendly, crowded, expensive! You cannot afford any type of housing. Even rent is crazy high. The people are so snobby and unfriendly!
Lol Clovis is soooo not northern California. Too funny😂
These fools can't tell whats North or central... Clovis and San Luis Obispo are Central California.
Although San Francisco consists of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly it should be on the list of Northern CA and still lots of things to do and Great Parks and Great Views to offers and more ...
Pleasanton is central California not northern California how about Fort Bragg better place than most mentioned lot quiieter
