    Guys need to understand it’s not the delete that makes your power it’s the tune.... simply taking off the emissions and straight piping isn’t gonna give power, it’s all in the tuning. You can take a fully stock emissions equipped truck, pay for the same tuning module, and the preset maps/dyno time and make that same +30hp, +60hp, +90hp... etc. either way no matter if it’s deleted or not you don’t want to tune it for more than 450hp without getting the transmissions some mods. Plenty of stock trucks out there though making 450-500hp with no deletes. Change the turbo, or add a second turbo and ofcourse necessary engine/trans mod and easily go 600-650hp with emissions intact..... but what you do get with an emissions free truck... no more stupid regents smelling up the cab, causing more heat, def fluid can be a thing of the past, cleaner oil which in turn means a better chance of that engine going a very long time

    My tune on the low presure fuel gose from 1to5 it was factory set at 5 so had some coal on lift off. I roled it back by one cut the black smoke on take off quite a bit and lift off is great

    One thing to consider, depending on the mileage determines the chatter. I had a 2015 SLT & noticed the engine got louder once I hit 15k miles on it. When I traded it in w/ 18k on it I ran it next to the new 2018 Laramie I ordered & the 2015 had more engine chatter.

    The stock Cummins is more than enough without messing with it. I purchased new 1999, 2500, 4x4, Cummins, only change was the K&N air filter. Towed horse trailer approx 40k miles over a few years, traded it at 251k miles and it still ran great. Traded on a 2005, 3500 dually, 4x4, Cummins HO and changed air filter to K&N. Towed a 42'x8'Wx8'T living quarters horse trailer (14,300 lbs) all over the NC & TN mountains, towed like a champ. Ran perfect and just traded it with 207k miles, replaced with a 2018 Ram 3500 dually limited 4x4, 6.7 HO and Aisin trans. There will be no mods on the 2018 either, those trucks have more than enough HP and torque. If I want to go fast I will get my 1970 Chevelle SS 454 out of the garage! Keep in mind the consequences with deleting those trucks and trashing your warranty. A friend loved my 2005 dually so much that he purchased a 2006 2500, had a tuner installed along with 5" straight pipe exhaust. He loved driving it around with the fuel turned up and it cost him. My 2005 was like a new truck at 150k miles, his Cummins came apart at 60k miles and cost him $12,000+ to replace the engine. I personally think it is killing the engines lifespan but it is not smart to do it while under warranty. My 2018 has a 100,000 mile warranty so service, fuel filter change at every service and drive a dependable truck.

      Chris M absolutely man! The stock trucks have tons of power! I just wanted mine to breathe a little and you can’t beat the awesome sound! I think tuning a truck is bad, but responsibility comes with it. When you begin to modify anything you should expect things to break haha. The stock parts are only made to handle so much power. But that’s awesome man I’m glad your trucks are running good for you. They all are very good machines and will last a life time if you maintain them properly👍 thanks for watching!! God bless

      I noticed the deleted truck looks like it has some blow by with the oil coming out of the dipstick and the oil spots everywhere. I agree it's not good to hot rod the truck around unless you build the motor for it or use a very mild tune. I had an '05 2500 and the injectors, head gasket, and pistons were toasted just from a tuner. Or it was abusive driving with the tuner....

    For the MPG alone it's worth deleting and tuning. Not only will it pay for it's self AND save you money on fuel it adds a lot of performance and sounds better. You probably get around 13-16 MPG because of the 35" mud tires and lift but if you DPF/EGR delete it and tune it you'll be getting the MPG you got when it was completely stock. before you start whining and complaining about deletes, get an education on what the EGR / DPF actually DO. Those emission control systems choke an engine that was built for 500k miles and wear it out at 125k. if you buy a Cummins or the Ford built powerstroke or whatever diesel engine, you're dropping 10-15K JUST for the diesel engine it has. The same type and size truck with a gas engine is WAY less. deleting all the emissions control crap will help the engine do what it was BUILT to do. rolling coal and all the other crap is a complete secondary consideration. Perfect world: buy the Ram 2500/3500 with the cummins..drive it stock and totally baby it for 4-5 years and hope you don't crap out the engine. at the end of 5 years, delete all that crap and live the good life! Overall, it often depends on what state you live in and how their emissions testing is performed. What's really sad is that we all suffer in the end, both financially and ecologically.
      Many of the so-called emissions devices on vehicles often result in the premature / demise of the engines, higher fuel consumption (less mpg's), and very costly and unreliable components for the end user/consumer to contend with.
      Furthermore, there are far too many bullshit, nonsensical, & downright poorly thought out laws created all the time in this country, and it just keeps getting worse with every passing year. The bureaucratic jackasses are forever trying to remain in office however they can, often whilst talking about how great he/she is by all of the "great" laws that they've passed during their time that they've been in office. - Nothing but damned idiots, constantly making things worse and worse for society as a whole.
      Furthermore, despite what so many foolish and under-educated Joe six-packs out there think or believe, the federal, state, and even local government bureaucrats couldn't give two shits about clean air or the environment, like they all too often claim that they do.
      They only care about how to get votes by telling people whatever they want to hear during every election time in order to keep their over-paid government jobs. Not a damned thing more.

      U can't seal up a diesel engine and make it a closed system and expect it to work properly, be reliable and for it to provide any kind of long-term worry free operation. It's the nature of the beast. Sadly the government has killed the benefit diesels once had. Which is why u see the big 3 reinvesting in big displacement v8 gasers.

    It is a huge misconception that you need to delete these trucks to make power. A simple tune will get you that +30, +50 or +100hp for $1000, and you get the transmission tuned aswell. or so you can get the same power and more upto nearly 450hp on all stock parts with emissions. That's the video I want to see, what a difference just the tuning does in 1/4mile time and 0-60mph. 400hp in a stock truck would be fun, even 420hp

    • @wizard_of_poz4413
      @wizard_of_poz4413 2 роки тому +1

      Nobody really thinks of power when doing that, they are more worried about not having to replace it or have the emissions equipment destroy the engine. Like I know that mine has done a regen only a couple times and It looks like it's already diluting the oil from that late injection cycle

      @@alexsalazar5871 I mean I highly doubt it personally, I've driven a lot of rigs that have emissions and some are great and some are crap. But that 6.7 in the dodge and the powerstroke both rely on dumping fuel into the cylinders to regen and that shit is a recipe for a catastrophic failure sooner than later.
      Not to mention basically any egr cooler will plug up or bust eventually
