One of my favorite HK's and range guns. Adding the jet funnel magwell really improves the balance of the pistol by adding about 1/2" of length to the grip. Many of us also swap the blacked out front sight for a slightly shorter one so that you don't have the adjustable rear cranked up so high. I use a thinner & shorter fiber optic front sight post from Dawson Precision. I also prefer the LEM trigger system and had my Expert converted to a hybrid Match/LEM by James @Teufelshund Tactical. I'm looking forward to getting back into local matches with mine this summer.
The USP triggers get better the more rounds you put down range. My USP was bought used and abused but the trigger is smooth compared to new USP pistols I've checked out.
I love the USP TACTICAL 45.. I want to pick up a 9mm USP Tactical. With that said I hate HK prices and is a big factor in why I don't have the 9mm yet. I did end up swapping out the sights for the Mepro adjustable night sights and they are a major improvement over the factory sights especially in low light. When using a can their is not much blow back as well. It's about the same with or without the can. The pistol once sighted in is a rack driver and is accurate out to significant distances as long as you can figure out the bullet drop. I had it out at a Friend's farm and we were betting drinks and we were ringing the steel targets at 200 yards. Granted that we were having to aim well above the target to hit it but once everyone figured out the amount of drop it got pointless since we were ringing the steel on every shot. Lol But it's a great well made gun. The only negatives that I have found with the USP 45 Tactical is the HK pricing,, cost of extra magazines, and the blacked out sights. Granted that a good friend of mine preferred the blacked out sights over the night sights. But to each their own. I also have the FN Tactical 45 and love it but when compared to the Hk it is a hard call as to say what one I like the best. Because of the fact that they both are great shooting guns with or without a can on it. But the FN has the night sights and the RMR optic cut slide and comes with extra magazines 3 high caps and 2 low caps and the mags are a fraction of the price of the HK mags. But I do think that I like the HK the best but the FN is just as good and both were designed for being surpressed pistols and heavy use by the military units in various eras. I will admit that I am a big fan of Hk specifically the Old School Roller Lock rifles and pistols . But I am also a big fan of the FN handguns, Rifles, and military arms. So I think that it is a fair call to say that I am a big fan of the USP Tactical line of pistols from HK and they are definitely a well built accurate pistol. I would definitely like to see you do a comparison test of the HK USP Tactical 45 and the FN FNX Tactical 45 to see what your thoughts are on the two pistols. I would definitely like to see the HK get upgraded to have the RMR cut and mounts included on new production pistols from the USP line as well as having the adjustable surpressor height night sights would make it an amazing factory pistol.
The USP expert has a heavier slide (because of its extended length). Therefor the recoil spring does not need to be as stiff. The Expert and Tactical contain a match sear, and match trigger and therefore a lighter pull. USP 45s will always have a heavier slide and a stiffer recoil buffer (secondary shorter spring in the recoil spring)
I bought a USP Expert 9 even tho it didn’t fit my hand it’s kind of like a marriage what used to drive you nuts becomes sublime over time. My favorite hand gun I just love it.
The smoother pull on the Expert could be because the trigger is more "worn in" compared to the new USPs which probably still have some burrs that haven't been worn down with shooting and dryfiring. USP triggers get smoother and lighter with use.
I don’t disagree, but I was told that they just put it on the range and it wasn’t even out yet. So I think I was the first one to fire it as it was still new.
The expert has a match grade trigger in it coming in at around 2 1/2 pounds. The usp has 4 1/2 trigger. And the accuracy is world class to this day. Nearly as accurate as custom 1911s.
@@hkrgckcz4905 The trigger on my Dan Wesson Valor is significantly better than my USP Expert in 45, But the i'd much prefer the expert in any defense situation, it's been extreamly reliable for me since 2008, shoots very well too. It isn't picky about ammo, but has a fully supprted chamber compared to something like a glock, so it's not hard on brass, It's my nightstand gun, but I always enjoy it at the range too. Kind of a do everything pistol although it's certainly on the large side so I wouldn't Conceal Carry it lol. It was my first Hand Gun. It's not my most expensive pistol, but if I could only keep one non-compact, this would probably still be it, although I'd have a hard time parting with some of my higher end ones.
I just picked up a usp45 at a local store can't wait to get it out to the range I been seeing a few of the usp models some pre owned but very nice condition some in 40 I did see a usp expert there An 2 months I saw a usp45 tactical brand new still going for about $ 1,500 plus tax 🤷🏻♂️
Sir, create a "go fund me" , and let's get you a decent trigger pull gage. You will love having that in your tool box. They're cheap dude. Treat yourself, fcol. Shheesh! 😆

I love the HK usp Elite, in 45 acp is very accurate with a very long slide and target sights.
I like the long slide as well 6" barrel.

What about the HK Usp Elite?

Watch the honest outlaws review on it. He perfectly demonstrates the accuracy that the expert is capable of.

The expert does have a match grade trigger.
Surprised HK still hasn't put our a new variant off the Expert Optics Traffic yet.. Only the VP9SFP9
