Would you like me to go in depth with another video and explain how I have done everything here?
    Materials used
    How to mix cement
    How to level a patio
    How to build a pergola.
How to make a soak away
Let me know down in the comments section below!

      Hi
Great work.. just wondering why didn't you plant climbers in pots or planters around the posts of the pergola ?

We did talk about doing that. Decided against it though so that we could paint the wood and keep it looking at its best.
We plan on putting lights on the pergola and I am working on other videos of the build that go more in depth.

Wow, your backyard transformation is incredible! It's amazing how much can be achieved when you put in the right effort and creativity. For anyone thinking about tackling a similar project, having the right tools can make a huge difference. I recently used the mini excavator from Achilles Machinery for some landscaping work, and it was totally great. Super easy to handle, even for beginners, and it made digging and leveling so much more efficient.

You did A LOT of prep work on that small Pergola space but it looks beautiful, great job! I'm having back yard envy : )

Paul, you're ridiculously talented dude. What an amazing project, really enjoyed watching it. And its also great that you got your daughter involved in the project too. Seriously amazing! Hope you and the family enjoy this for years to come.

Thank you! It was pretty simple, just time consuming!

I put a grid at the back of the garage for rainwater to go into and made a soakaway underneath the patio.
I'll be going through this more in depth in an upcoming video. 👍

I was wondering the same thing, like what’s up with those pipes?! Look forward to the video that explains what a soak away is, because I’ve never heard of that before.

Great work. Would love to see a follow up video. Have you still got your pizza oven? Made my own after watching your video but completely forgot to video it. Would love to know if yours is still going strong.

It is still stood in the garden & has a cover over it at the moment.
I had an ants nest in the sand between the bricks at the start of the year, but after cleaning that out it has been great again!
I have been working on the garden a lot this year & have got another 2 videos planned about it. Will also be making a pizza oven update video.
Hope your build went okay! 👍

Great job, How did you calculate when you laid the different tiles to make them fit so perfectly??

    • @PaulLloyd
      @PaulLloyd  3 роки тому

      Thank you!
I'm going to be cutting this time lapse up into different videos and speak over them about how I did each section.
The short answer for this is I laid them out dry first and then the ones at the end I trimmed to fit.
I will go over it in more detail though in another video! 👍

@@PaulLloyd Ok. I know there is a program that can calculate how to lay different size of slates but have no idea of witch one.

They did come with a drawing to cover a certain area, unfortunately my patio was larger than the drawing so she couldn't use it.
