Even though the final result is pleasing to the eye, I feel like "Nature garden" isn't really appropriate ? Like half of the garden is covered by the tarpaulin used to create the permanent pond, which leads to two problems of water management ; in the summer, you will probably need to add water to keep the pond at a minimum level and in the winter, the strongest rain events may cause huge run-offs as infiltration will be nearly impossible. And the plant species you use don't seem to be local, so you do not create habitats for the local fauna. Personally, it feels like this garden was more alive at the beginning of the video.
So true. Foil. Stones. A dead piece of lawn ( aka "Green desert" ) Not even a way to enter for Frogs , Lizards Hedgehogs or anything else. Nothing natural will survive in the pond either , because of the Goldfish in there . ( I hope they added a filter somewhere ! ) There are a few good nectar flowers , tho , but I guess every bug or caterpillar will send them running to the "poison"- store. A little non - poison vegetable garden with flowers and a compost bin together with a flower meadow , some blooming and fruit bearing climbers , a vew birdhouses , and 3 masonry buckets with water and waterplants and a little "stream" between them would have done the trick a 1000 times better... (and they would have spend some 1000ds less ; ) ) What scares me the most are all the ppl agreeing that THIS is a nature garden.

These types of makeovers are costly to install, fadish, indulgent and usually end up costing much more money as time progresses. Someone with experience in creating this kind of environment properly would ensure that nature becomes the future engineer and caregiver. It’s unfortunate... because the homeowners could have achieved so much more with just a little more due diligence in their choice of contractor/designer. Looks like a 10-20$ k job. Beautiful but too busy for my taste.
Wayy too many rocks. Weeding will be a nightmare and it will become one big ugly mess in a couple of years. Then it will all be removed and people will scratch their heads saying ‘what were they thinking??’
