Hi, Carter. In one of the books I read yesterday, Tom Patty said that in Cus style there are 5 different options for fighting.
    - Option if the opponent is taller
    - Option if the opponent is the same height
    - Option if the opponent is shorter
    - Option if the opponent constantly keeps a distance at an outstretched arm
    - Option if the opponent boxes in Cus style.
Can you give information regarding this topic. Since opponents can have different anthropometry and I want to understand how to fight them. Thank you.
    Happy New Year

What people don’t understand is what you explain Mike Tyson has a genetic freak of nature. His speed and power was unbelievable the combination but he was taught the technique first. Mike Tyson there will never be another one like him his speed and power combination I think is the most devastating in heavyweight history, but once he started losing his dedication and discipline once his father figure died, he was not as effective because he did not have the technique came off the technique I think in terms of being physically gifted, I think he is the most physically gifted heavyweight of all time him and Muhammad Ali.

Yeah the mental aspect is everything, without that you cant do nothing no matter how good you are physically, like he said "takes a lot more than that" when he was told hes a specimen.

I think the intensity of his workouts took a toll on his joints in terms of speed and balance too, he developed crazy strength but there are more efficient ways now

@ true the first part but i will disagree on the last part given the majority if not all the guys back then who are greats, guys like Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano. Muhammad Ali, Sonny Liston, SRR, SRL, Hagler, Harry Greb etc, thise guys didnt have much to their training other than the simple running, skipping, sparring, heavy bag and shadowboxing, along with some calisthenics, today they got 50 dif apparatuses but you really dont need all of that evidently, this is an individual sport highly dependant on the person not the technology.

I am a southpaw and I made my own Willie Bag at home. How were southpaws taught by Cus and Teddy to hit the numbered Willie Bag?
What I did was to reverse the numbers and reverse the punch list. Is this correct? Great job and Happy New Year!!!

Willie bag is still the same whether you're southpaw or orthodox, so a 7, 5, 1, in orthodox is like a 7, 6, 2, in southpaw and then move your head after, same punch number system, you dont change it, you just change the way you use it

I am 16 years old and I really wanna fly out and go to the gym. I strongly believe that I have the talent to be apart of the legacy. I can pick up things very fast, I am powerfull, fast. I don't wanna boast about my self. But I believe within my self that I will be the next world champion there. I believe in your training methods trying to do it till perfection and ingrain it in your nervous system. I am gonna do whatever it takes to train there. I wish I lived in catskill.

Go forward and never look back. Your youth is the perfect time to struggle and experience obstacles. Nobody who is really grown expects someone to be rich in their twenties. That's how kids think. I'm saying this to say that in your youth, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. You should pursue your dreams fearlessly and not be afraid to take chances.

Yeah, maybe that's true, but remember, you're not the only one trying to win and become a world champion. There are many others working hard for the same goal. The real question is: are you willing to outwork them all?

Carter You're saving peekaboo boxing from Vanishing, i see the passion in your channel, i feel how you want this style to grow and see others fighters becoming champions, i promise you I'll be the one, I'll become one of those world champs, i have this in my heart, all the belts i could win, and I'll try my best to even keep the undefeated score, because my self belief is the highest ots ever been fantastically, blindly, at such, so that i can't zoom to see my downfall, i won't copy Mike, i have my own cons of peekaboo boxing, I'm an aggressive swarmer who's also very defensive, I'm also mastering the pivot step, which helped me when i was cornered especially as a peekaboo boxer i should prevent and lean to be good at defence, of course "advanced shit" scares me of, i have to learn basics, but i expect you might also release a video about advanced peekabo boxing techniques maybe punching or defensive stuff, all i can say, i need. Good footwork, and well developed rhythm, but all the basics stuff first, which footwork i believe is also a basic stuff i need to master, excuse my French, but it's not just master, I really have to masturbate those techniques, those basics, that's the hard part in.boximg, rhythm, iq fighting, advanced techniques, etc.

I may be wrong, but I can tell that you made this video because so many people ask you how to workout/train/move like Mike. I like that you make these videos. I record myself when I train and watch it at night while I’m relaxing. I check off those key points that you were correcting your fighters on in some of your videos. It’s pretty cool, because I’ll see myself start to do something wrong in my video but I correct it. Ill hear your voice in my head saying keep those thumbs tucked, your foot is to far back, Lean forward more, etc.. I’ll have to say to watch my own progression is proof that I’m doing things right. With that being said. Whoever takes the time to read this, I start out SLOW.. like SUPER slow. I have so many 3-5 min videos on my phone of me just slowing practicing my slipping or my stance, videos of me practicing the twist and shadow boxing. I noticed a long time ago when you do something slow a bunch of times. When you start to add speed to it, it’s an amazing thing to witness because you see your body moving faster while keeping that perfect form. Thanks coach!

It takes an incredible amount of practice and training to rewire your nervous system to basically do the opposite of what it is designed to do, but it can be done. And if it isn't , you ARE going to go into default mode and all your training will go out the window. For example , I train my martial arts students to flinch INTO the danger , not away . Exactly what Cus was doing . The Secret Service does this too and if you ever want to see it in action watch the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan. A gun goes off and everybody automatically flinches away or freezes except the closest SS agent instantly goes towards the shooter . There was no thinking . To me thats what true speed is about . Not how fast you physically move from A to B , but how fast you react and start that movement .

I hate to address the elephant in the room, but I have to ask. There is a youtuber who goes by Logan Brown. He used to make tutorials on the peek-a-boo style and still sells courses on it til this day. However, I've always suspected that the guy is just a Mike Tyson clone. Have you seen his videos, and if so, what are your thoughts on them. If you're worried that my question may cultivate a hate campaign, feel free to delete it (or notify to do so, whatever works). I'm just curious.

Yeah facts once again, it's just from watching Tyson punching like a sawed off shotgun and everyone just tries to copy that but unbeknownst to them, Tyson been doing that for a very long time and it was even said apart from the countless hours in the gym, also countless hours on the mirror practicing one punch, form is the most important thing, it made Joe Louis a harder puncher than he was before he trained with Jack Blackburn, there's guys who got power natural speed etc but they worry so much about it, when we start we always wanna be punchers and we neglect technique sometimes, the knockouts come because you dont even have to be a Tyson to ko somebody specially in this style, hitting somebody with your best punch where they cant see you usually will do it.
