Got a k4 7 in the drive way 99-k5 we’re hands down best! They done just enough designing these bikes without going Stupid. They could have left the tip sensor out other than that info complaints
I have a K1, which has done less than 12,600 miles. When I bought it,I found the front brakes to be much too grabby,so I installed a Brembo front brake master cylinder,Brembo front disc rotors and also Venhill braided brake lines front and rear,I also have Brembo calipers for the front and rear, but the brakes are fantastic as they are with the Tociko front 6 pot calipers so have not bothered to fit the Brembo calipers yet. The bike also has the Yoshimura tri oval exhaust system, titanium downpipes, and mid section with a stainless steel end can, which sounds awesome.I also fitted a K and N air filter NGK iridium r plugs and alloy rear sets, the performance is just phenomenal with a surprising amount of torque for an inline four.
Sweet bike! It has a lot of mods, the 03/4 are my favorite as well.. I have an 03 and an 04 Matt Mladin.. it gets 35 mp/g.. I love my stock rotars and my stock shift lever..I sport toured on mine all over the place and LOVED it!
Not sure what you mean turns left with stiff steering damper…stiff means it will stay where ever your have it, but I recommend getting a ohlins adjustable steering damper, and not run without a damper at all….or risk a tank slap!
Lovely stuff, I have my 03 also in the blue and white. It's an amazing beast, I have some ugly stuff on mine which I'll replace. It's my dream bike and have had it for a few months now.
Looks to me like a wannabe racer had it. Could have boxed the bodywork brand new, tracked it, then put stock stuff on and sold it. But the frame, swingarm, metal parts are way too clean for having seen track. After racing 20 years, I have never seen those parts that clean after seeing any significant track time.
Yeah, agree, this thing has never been near a track, the suspension is not set up very well, it was covered in locking wire, most of which I removed. Looks fucking great though.
I’ve had mine since 2006. It was raced in the 2003 and 2004 AMA Superbike seasons by a privateer racer. Mostly track riding since I’ve had it. She is known as the Beast.
Great bike dude!I have a K3 myself.Everyone was telling me to get the K5 cause its more powerful, but i dont care since all these bikes have more power than we really need, except if you racing. So i went with what i find more beautyful to MY eyes and thats the K3 gsxr in white/blue.
Took the damper off, it was faulty, so unbelievably stiff it made the bike almost impossible to ride. I never fixed it or replaced it, in my mind it doesn't need it.
Nice bike mate. I just picked one up myself with a few tasty mods (mines dynoed at 160hp) and it’s a bonkers bike! Have you tried cleaning the rotor buttons? I had the problem with my old k2 750 and cleaning them helped Look forward to seeing more mate!
lr882027 replacing them certainly would be easier. It’s probably worth a go with a bit of brake cleaner and see if it makes a difference. Might save you a few dollars
I bought the same bike BJ03LSD it was a great bike for speed but it just didn't suit my riding style after a year but now im more a lazy rider i now ride a st1100 1994 and it suits me so much and its still quick .
DETROIT AXLE PADS. THAT'S MY HOMETOWN. GREETINGS FROM THE MOTOR CITY. PLUS I HAVE THE SAME BIKE, MINES A 2001GSXR1000 BLACK AND SILVER. NICE VIDEO 👍👍👍👍
I'm looking to buy a k5 ...they're supposed to be the_best_gsxr1000 but I think the k5 box is close ratio...1st and 6th seem squeezed together versus the k3?....that's the sort of track day shit neither I nor the massively torky engine needs. Blue colour only , yes. Is the k5 really better ? I imagine your marselliny ? (lol) wheels alone make yr k3 better than a stock k5. K3s are a lot cheaper than k5s in UK as the k5 thing is jacking up prices...I don't have tons of money. Oh...re Speedo healer....I tend not to look at the clocks when riding (ex London dispatch rider...)...I wouldn't bother with it even if I changed the sprockets...but that's me..... ......£84 quid here yikes

@@bigdogbulldog9912 Agreed, I replaced it with a Mille R which has merits of it's own but is nothing like the K3. I was lucky enough to get it back for the same price. It will remain in the stable until i'm too old to ride it.
Not long had k2 but now sounds awfull when using more power .clutch aint slipping an it ticks over nice but its got this worrying wuring noise like a transmission problem? Any ideas fellas?. Good video mate.doing it for the brits in the the US
I sold it about a year ago to buy an RSV Mille R, which turned out to be very disappointing, I was asked if I wanted to buy the GSXR (which I did) back but the deal never happened.
@@lr882027 don't know what you mean by jelly mold, but hey to each their own, to me up to the k4 look strange, I like the rounder lines of the k5k6. Plus engine got 20+ HP's, and it shows.
I had one of these, just recently bought a K7 GSXR 1000. K3 GSXR 1000 was the best bike I have ever owned
How many people are watching this because they are looking at getting a GSXR in 2021 😎

Did you get it?
I hope you bought it

Very Beautiful Bike I just bought a 04 Gsxr1000 and I'm keeping her forever. You got a good deal considering the money invested into your bike.
Yeah, shame I sold it last week
Great looking bike, I always loved these things it’s hard to believe it’s so old now days. That one looks really clean
I love watching a review when the reviewer knows nothing about the thing being reviewed…….. really valuable! Much good! Excellent 👌🏻

Had one, only with a full titanium akrapovic exhaust system. Evertles to 290km/h. It had 167hp at the rear wheel. Looks nice with a yosimura

I had both, K5 is lighter and more nimble. But basically Same Horsepower
