i started on a K3 gixxer 1000 as well and its an amzing bike. Its so nimble it feels like a 600 and the power delivery is so smooth and predictable that im pretty sure nearly anyone can ride it. I just delted the STV assembly on mines and installed a TRE and holy it is a different beast now. A lot harder to ride but the power potential of these older gixxers is mindblowing
Now I see why people say you will die on a bike like this, when I hear it start to accelerate I never want it to stop, especially with an open road ahead..
Yeah your doing the absolute right thing by taking it easy with that beast. Well done. I'll end up probably starting on a 600 then go up from there. Ride safe though bro 👍
Senpai Bushido Just take it easy and remember that throttle is to be respected because it isn’t very forgiving. These bikes also have a great tendency to over drive the brakes equipped on these bikes, in other words it’s incredibly easy to bite off more than she can chew when it comes to breaking distances. Have fun and ride safe!
You are the reason the liter bikes are so expensive these days. In 2003 2004 you can buy a brand new liter bike for $8,500 if you shopped around. Now they have all these crazy safety features a b c mode, ABS, traction control, wheelie control. When I was a kid you had no other option but to start out on the proper bike. Your wrist was your traction control, wheelie control, a b c mode
How u liking the new bike bro? Ima get my first bike as a gsxr 1000 with abs and ride in c mode at first. Already have my M2 and ckass A cdl im a responsible rider. Like to go fast once in a while
Looking at one of these myself a 2004 to be specific Seeing as I’m a bigger dude 6 foot 3. 320lbs of strong fat lol and I respect the power of a liter bike I’d be ok to start on one too.
I rode a 650F when i went to riding-school for about 2 months. i passed all the tests etc. so i went ahead and bought me a 1000 =O and yes, this is my first ride with the 1000. Im taking it slow as you can see, dont wanna do anything wreckless... yet.
@@fritzkeller5629 start on a bike you want..... Why to buy newer slow and low power motorcycles that cost more than the older 750cc or 1000cc motorcycles? If u have money for a brand new GSXR 1000 and u want it why not get it. Ofc u will need a lot of caution and resepct for that beast but why wait a few years and lose a lot of money when that R3 or Ninja 250 will lose its value over the years and will get boring within weeks. My first time on a motorcycle was on a 96 GSXR 1100w and guess what I lived.
Quick question, in first gear once I get the bike moving just by using the clutch and no throttle. Can I let go off the clutch fully then give it throttle? Or do I throttle and then let go off the clutch fully?
bloy1 idle just seems to be jumping up and down, my carbed fz1 only started doing that once i avoided the sync for over 10k miles. The newer bikes ive had seem to idle much more linear, might just be a suzuki thing

advice, dont use so much keys on bike keylock u will scratch everything in that key radius...
That's a great tip which really is likely to be an easy mistake to miss for a rookie, thank you so much

word its different once your on it and feel how fast it picks up speed, be doin like 140mph in 3rd gear lol

you dont need to besides 1000cc are cheaper nowadays than 600cc in Europe due all youtube 600cc hype.

Damn I will be learning almost from scratch using 1000 cc

What gixxer gsxr you got with abs mate I've been looking and can only see the gsxs 1000s with abs
Started on a cbr 500r wanting something bigger already 😂 stay safe brothers✌️
Yh I want to start on that as well but then this is the bike want for years now. I'm 37 bruh.

Considering how heavy you are,a 1000cc will probably be slow as a 250 when your on it
Magic touch thats a lot of damage
Well havce you started ridfing yet?
Ur learning in the 1000 ? Or first ride as in u barely got it?

I always wanted a gsxr 1000 k6 as my first bike
Start with a bike with less power, like an R3 or an R6, those are easier to learn on.

Why does the bike sound cammed? Maybe the idle was slightly to low?
I dunno, i also think the idle sounds low, gonna have to ask the mechanic about that because i have no idea :P

to accelerate, let go the clutch, then give it a throttle
1. Clutch in
2. Full throttle
3. Drop clutch
4. Off you go

im close to 4k european miles. at 4k it's necessary to do a valve adjustment. that might be why it's out of sync.
4k? You mean 24k? And euro miles? You mean... kilometers lol
well.. its called Scandinavian miles. 10km is 1 mile. so at 4k miles.. :P
