Why don't you nitride your 6.5 barrels? With the increased barrel wear of a 6.5, wouldn't it make sense to have it nitrided?

I am building out a Mk18 clone and decided to go with a BA barrel. It took a lot of research to find the gas port size on the BA barrels. I found good information on a forum, and also emailed BA directly. Although I was never able to find the exact dimensions (wanted .080) I put faith that others before me have used BA and are working fine. I ended up going with the Performance line because of the 1/7 twist, although I really would have liked the SS barrel on the Premium line I couldn't find info on 1/8 twist with a 10.3" barrel.
Does anyone have any feedback?

Hi Terry! Our apologies for this delayed response. The 1/8 twist is optimal for .223. We have a lot of BA customers build MK18s from our 10.3” barrels and we haven’t heard any complaints of gas issues. Let us know if you have any further questions!
