The only thing S24 upgraded was software updates, AI things, and integration with Instagram and Snapchat (now you can use this phone just like an iPhone in socials).
ayumu
This channel never disappoints. Great video
That 7 years update support was a great value🙂
yes with greenline in 2nd year😂
How come? The ui gets more heavy for evey year and slows the phone down.

@@zhiemers haha, thats fact🤣 see in samsung member about greenline in s22
Any thoughts on Vivid mode not working? Settings-->Display-->Screen Mode-->Vivid isn't doing anything. It's just Natural (even when vivid is selected), and most people switch from Natural when they get their Samsung phone.
Please make a dedicated camera comparison between exynos and snapdragon s24s.
The best "compact" smartphone in 2024 for sure, but there's barely any upgrade from the S23, which is another great option at a cheaper price!
Yea
S24 is actually cheaper if you buy it now. In my country, There's so many deals and bundling. And s23 price is stagnant..maybe because it has SD processor, so sellers think it's valid excuse to sell a year old phones at the same price with current model :(.
At the moment s24 is cheaper with bundles included
Not if you pre-ordered it.
@GFourGadget
..and a whole 0.1inch larger screen than last year! 😁
I think the S24+ is the best model overall. Coming from the S23 128gb, Samsung's trade in program and their pre order promotions were too good to pass up on. I got the S24+ with the 12 gb ram, 512gb option. I'll miss the S23's compact design however.
Yeah I noticed the s24+ is actually a little taller and heavier than the s23+. I'm guessing that's from the bigger battery.
As far as value goes, it's definitely the best model. But I just returned mine due to weight and size, and chose to import a Snapdragon S24 from the US at the same price, losing a lot of value overall. Coming from an S10e and the S24+ simply feels huge and heavy.
@@dennisjames9091 Yeah I hear you. I went from the S10e to S23 and I've never used big phones beyond 6.1 inches. The base S24 is what I originally wanted it's still a beast so I'm sure you'll be happy with it. There's always pros and cons but long-term a smaller phone is better for everyday activities. Not sure if I'll get used to a 6.7 phone still waiting to get it shipped out. I only got the plus because of the upgrades. You made the right choice getting the Snapdragon version that's an added bonus in performance and battery.

S24 plus is inferior as we are getting exnos variant
He is the best ai i have ever seen great job GSMArena
Finna grab the S24+. My phone of 5 years has 64gb storage and cannot keep up with my tasks anymore. Will probably wait til' they go on sale next year. Hope my current phone holds up til' then
GSMArena is always Best❤
Another great video, I've been using Xperia 5s for a while now, but they always seem to let me down, so I've ordered this model S24, due to its compact size and features. I hope it doesn't disappoint.
Did it disappoint?
@@pikester101 Excellent phone. I love it!
First comment from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
I get a new phone every two years. Just how the contracts work in Canada. Been Pixels the last six years with zero complaints but glad to pick up the s24 today. Every tv in my house is Samsung intentionally. Needed to try something new. Seems like a great phone. Looking forward to two years of useage. Sharp looking phone I grabbed the marble Grey.
Excellent review! 🙌
Thanks for your video review
Love the intro music 🌿🌾
Great analytical video! I thank you very much and I wait on the S24+ video…
s24 size and look is king!
I bought S24 (256gb) yesterday instead of iPhone 15 and I liked it. The camera and display is superb. I should've bought the Plus variant but it's too big and wide. No regrets
well what about listinging my music through my headphones. You didn't say anything about that function. How does it sound? and I can connect with Bluetooth right? I need to know about that before I purchase one.
Great review! Would you be willing to do an S24 (regular) vs. iPhone 15 Pro (non-max) camera comparison video? I am going to buy one of these two phones and I would appreciate it so much!
Why compare the pro with the normal S24
@@petermikus2363 Because of feature parity. The S24 Regular has the same hardware features (120Hz screen, 3X zoom lens, 8GB RAM, etc.) as the iPhone 15 Pro, not the regular iPhone 15, and for a much cheaper price.
I hope you enjoyed your time in Sofia, Bulgaria! Greetings :)

@@filippetrovic845Nope, he looks Mexican. His face is screaming "Fajita!!!!" 😂
im using s21 fe now. would want to upgrade to s23 or s24 soon ❤
They need to drop ths screen size to 5.9" and give it the same charging speed and memory package as the other models.
Hmmm... The Exynos chipset. Why do i get the feeling that international market option is a shortchange.
Broke my phone at work and got an excuse to get a new phone. Upgrading to this All the way down from the s21. Looking forward to this upgrade
For camera I still prefer to Pixel's.
Ppl say its not a big jump from the S23.... but im coming from an S20FE 🤓... so you can imagine ! (I wrote this comment with the beautiful S24 🤓)
I'll be coming from the cricket DREAM so this will be mind blowing I'm assuming
@@montanamaxx3824 yes. The screen alone will be magnificent for you
Amazing Android....and great smartphone
Great review as always. Got my S24 256 GB with the Galaxy Watch 6 for 650€.
how?
Some mobile operators offer good deals on contracts. I had the option to get S24 256GB for 400€
@@manu-singh Dont know if Germany exlusive, but it was the following: first: There was a code for a free Watch 6 if you buy a S24. Then there was the Samsung Members Code 5% and the "broken smartphone" trade in. You can send your broken smartphone in and you will get 200€ off the price. Also i got 1 year Samsung care+ and a case for free. For just 650€ and my broken Huawei P8lite. No brainer.

Its more like s23S than a s24. The improvements are marginal.
But the s24 software improvements and ai functionality are big upgrades
Don't let the looks fool you buddy 😂
Maybe from a s20 or a s21 would be worth it. other than that it's not worth it.
@king-_-arroow9239 no it's enough to upgrade from the s 23
@@kittyleonthat's just a software update away
Thanks for the review❤
I trade in my S22 for the S24 (which normally I keep my phones for 4-6 years) and I could definitely tell some improvements. For example, the battery is bigger and can lasts me almost a whole day. Even when heavy use, it lasts much longer than the S22.
I NEED TO GET S24 too SINCE S22 BATTERY LIFE SUCKS‼️
Will wait for S25 :) I am happy with my S23
Hi! S23 no exynos version right?
Yep, only Snapdragon@@jasperalvin7548
I have been waiting for this
The plus please
I'm going for the S24+ Model ❤
Does the s23 and s24 still have the camera blurred issue?
Excellent review. I don't think I should upgrade from my S21. Too many similarities.
The changes from Snapdragon to Exynos is crazy 😅
How about Samsung Dex? Is this S24 compatible with?
As an S23 owner since preorder last year, I don't see any reason to upgrade to S24. Even if there was 8 gen 3 in eu, the changes are so small that it doesn't make sense. Trade-in program is not nearly as appealing as in other countries, I would have to pay 400 dollars for S24. And I really don't want exynos. Even 8 gen 3 seems a bit more power-hungry than 8 gen 2. The battery life of S23 is amazing.
Phones release every year ofcourse it not gonna be huge improvement. I don't even understand why people upgrade every year.
@@mrduck7957All these touted camera features and the thing couldn't even rank high on dxomark.😂
@@mrduck7957 exactly 😂

Nice video ❤❤
"Exynos might rub some people the wrong way" is putting it mildly. Its like taking sandpaper to your iris.... Thats how much people hate Exynos.Myself included... from personal experience....
If it has snapdragon in my region it would be my go to phone.
Snapdragon is only in US/Canadian/Chinese/Japanese/Korean models. Rest of the world gets Exynos.
Can you review the cherry aqua gr pls
How to get results in the 3DMark WildLife (non-Extreme)? Wherever i run the test on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or smth more powerful, I just get «Maxed Out» message🤔🤔
That's the same as the new exynos 2400 I can't get a result
Go into 'my device' on the bottom, scroll to 'performance range' and here you can choose which benchmark score to display (eg Your best score, XXXXX, is better than XX% of results
for this model)
Can you do that benchmark on a iPhone 15?
Can't wait to upgrade in a couple months from my S7!
S7???? 😅😅😅😅😅 oh man🤦🏽♂️
@@rindershow212 I've gotten lots of use out of it, and it's still works! I'll be able to get more use out of an S24 if anything because of its 7 years of software updates.
Now thats an upgrade.
@@mrduck7957 Yup, will be super interesting :)
Heck dude 😳 you're rockin a phone that qualifies for a historic license plate 🤌🏻
Just ordered mine, can't wait to get it!
Have u get your how's it
Hope you are less disappointed than i was..... holy hell this thing sucks.... worst samsung to date. it cant even properly utilize its impressive specs. it also constantly crashes and closes apps by itself. the driver support is also shit. gaming on this thing is infuriating. All this power and no way to utilize more than maybe 45% of it. and thats if it doesnt randomly decide to close on you. apps will close while you are in the middle of using them, but especially if you switch to another window. changing settings to make it stop does NOT work. ive tried like 4 or 5 different things that were supposed to make it stop and none of them had ANY effect whatsoever. its still the most infuriating phone to ever exist. i absolutely hate samsung. never again. every day i spend hours just trying to get things to work as intended. i have 3 kids younger than 6..... i simply dont have time for this shit. hopefully i save someone some trouble by posting this. get another phone. preferably one that doesnt have the snapdragon 8 gen 3.
@@alexcrowder1673 your issues are so isolated lol
@@alexcrowder1673you sound like you work for Apple, trying to steer people,e away for buying Samsungs.
What this battery test does not test is the browsing over 4/5G. It's tested over wifi, which exynos handles good. The problem is the inefficient Exynos modem over 4/5G, despite a larger battery in the S24 the battery lasts 11% worse than S23! In this test you already get a good indication of this in the "calls" area of the battery test which is measured over 4G, S24=23:26h S23=30:52h. If you don't connect to wifi a lot that's a serious problem.
Have a look at this test from techno hi testet the S24 exynos 2400 against the S24 with SD 8 gen 3 before and arter that update his test is more reliabile then this standard test . In this test you can see that the 8 gen 3 on S24 does alot better in both camera and batterylife .
What I don't like is the auto brightness adjustment after taking a selfie. When I take the selfie is one thing and then when I click on the picture looks really bright. I tried to turn it off but it still there.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 is it worth upgrading to the s24?
Is that amber yellow?
Is it a big upgrade from s9
Serious issues on Samsung S24 with internet connection. No matter if you use wifi, 5G or 4G. After every 5-50 minutes connection is lost. Flight mode on and off will return the connection for a while but this is not how a new phone should work. Also the AI features were draining the battery very rapidly. After switching off all the unnecessary assisting features the battery life got 2-3 times longer.
I might just trade in my s22 ultra in for the S24 so I can get a flat screen again XD. Plus im not super big on 4k res and never used a lot of features that the 22 ultra had.
Watching this on my Galaxy S24 ❤
Ditto.
Same here
Wish its curved screen like s8
I have an S23 that I want to use for 5 years 😀
I have the s23 and s24. If you have the s23, the s24 isn't worth the upgrade. The only reason i have the s24 is i had another phone to trade in. Here are the areas the s24 is better - brighter more efficient display, louder speakers, better battery life ( 30 minutes to an hour more sot on average ) I'm getting 7 hours sot on cellular data. Flat sides are more comfortable to hold imo. I haven't really tested out the cameras yet. S24 is worse - the display doesn't look as sharp despite ppi being almost the same. I'm seeing a slight purple hue on certain screens. It's hard to replicate the issue. They took the swipe from bottom gestures away 😭
Swipe from bottom can still be used in s24 using goodlock's navstar
@@masquerade_phantomx9270 yeah that's a good way to still have it. It actually forced me to try the regular gestures and I think I prefer them even more.
@@ChadH2023 Ohh is that so i still resist to change from those those old gestures
@@masquerade_phantomx9270 it took about a week to get in the habit of doing the gestures but I'll like it better because before with the three buttons gestures I would accidentally hit the bottom of the screen.
bro nice photos in Bulgaria!
EVERYBODY mentions the brighter screens on the s24, but i never heard a SINGLE complaint about the S23 range NOT being bright enough 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
It's not. After a while your eyes get used to and it's not enough. That's my only grip with my S23. But well, considering it's not worth to change of phone only for this, I will wait a bit - I don't use IA features at all.
It's not bright enough. There ya go
What do you mean by range?
@@MegaLoquendo2000 I guess it means the S23 line up - S23, S23+ S23U.
1000 nits under direct sunlight is good enough, and we get those since the S22
I'm from Indonesia, I always follow this channel, as a reference for updated information

No UWB support on the base model despite base iPhones having it is a huge letdown.
Very disappointed by the heat generated by the 256GB model. Uncomfortably warm with regular usage.
What’s more worth it? The 128gb or 256gb?
can't get over the exynos in my region
I’m afraid to say Samsung has improved loads since I last had one
The galaxy versions are really good
S versions I meant
Exynos again, why samsung don't want to give most markets the SD8gen3
Looks like not a big upgrade from the S22 and I heard the S25 will still use the same cameras :(
True, i upgraded from S22 Ultra to the S24Ultra. I seriously don't feel that different 😶
Nah it is. S22 snapdragon or exynos, is very shitty when it comes to battery. for heavy user, s22 battery is just terrible. S23 and s24 are very battery efficient. Battery alone is a big deal of an upgrade
What do you think of the more muted display colors in vivid mode?
trash. looks so washed out
Trash. But sammyboy gladly accept it
You won't regret buying S24 ❤
Especially AI in it makes things more easy and love this Yellow Amber color ✨️
Should I upgrade??? Still rocking my 4.5 year old Oneplus 7 Pro, and im wondering if its time to let my baby go
Why S24ultra review took so long? I'm still waiting
I just upgraded from iphone 13 to s24. The camera is disappointing compared to iphone. Do software updates further improve camera quality?
Are you kidding me? The iPhone 13 maxes out at 12MP photos, while the S24 does 50MP. Also, the iPhone 13 always makes blue skies look artificially blue (I know, I have one), while the S24 doesn't do this. Finally, the iPhone 13 does not show vivid colors accurately in photos (like the reds in roses), but the S24 looks like it may be among the first smartphones to do reds properly. What exactly are you talking about when you say the S24's camera is disappointing you? I'm planning to buy one unless there's some hidden flaw I'm unaware of.
Everybody likes what they like > I too prefer the cameras on some I phone models in certain situations. Overall I think Samsung gives you the most bang for your buck over any I phone. But it comes down to what users like.
if samsung can cram a 5000 mah for s26. i'll glady upgrade from my s22U 😁
They should focus more on enhancing the quality of their pictures on social media. They look beautiful in the gallery, but when uploaded to Facebook, they become less attractive. Even Apple takes great photos that don't lose quality when uploaded to social media. It would be better if they collaborated with social media sites like Facebook or TikTok. if you want innovation choose samsung but if you are like to take pictures and post it to social media better choose iPhone because samsung picture is great only in the gallery.
my S23 also adjusts the refresh rate between 24-120hz. what's the improvement here?
23hz. S24 goes down to 1hz
@@michaeldisyak1194 not what it says in the review
@@felipecardel I didn't catch that. Heard 1hz in another review. 🤷♂️
@@michaeldisyak1194 Looks like it's just marketing spec.
LTPO technology allows high refresh rates with better efficiency. However, the differences are not very high but it probably translates in better battery life which is always welcome.
I expected to see you use the voice translator on this video
Is it a fair trade bwt 21 ultra and 24 plus?
yup
Isn't the brightness up to 2600 on all S24 phones
Hmm.. Pick up the Exynos S24 or wait for the Zenfone 11?

Almost 900€ for an Exynos "flagship" phone... No thank you. My theory is, 7 years of OS support needed to be downed down with a crapy processor. There's now way you'll get a smooth working phone after 3 years of major os updates on an exynos chip.

when you compare the S23 vs S24 the only REAL difference is the AI, which 95% of the time you won't even use

All camera differences will be non existent when One6.1 comes to S23 series next month.
Not all features come to s23 because so many features only process on phone
