I really want to try the S24, but the camera just isn’t there yet. I still rely on my iPhone for video, but my Pixel is my go-to for photos. Not gonna lie, the Pixel is still a pain to use most of the time, but there are moments when I’m using my iPhone that I miss certain Pixel features.

For the first time using a small phone and I'm enjoying it more than all the time I've been using big phones. I quickly got so tired with my S24 Ultra that I couldn't keep it in my hand or pocket any longer. I never knew the S24 was my preferred small phone since I already have a Samsung phone but I also wanted a small phone with all the latest flagship specs and I couldn't get it from any company besides Samsung so I bought the S24 and I now love it more than the S24 Ultra.
Battery life is better on Exynos but ya at the cost of raw power. Think thats not really a problem now but for 7 years of updates not sure itll hold up well long term
Small? 25 years ago the idea was mobility with a phpnr to make it lighter and smaller. Eventually since a few years we go in reverse and heavier and bigger means more expensive which in itself is a joke. There should be flagship phones in 6" and not only 7"
I chose this phone because I had the pixel 6 and I couldn't handle the weight after an accident. now I have nerve damage. I'm hoping I feel a difference. thank you for the review. I went ahead and purchased this model
Still using my s9+. But I am now thinking about getting a new phone. The s24 base and the iphone 15 base are very compelling for me. I cant decide yet. I nope you can make a comparison which would help me decide
@@green4ever626 Hi, I got the iPhone 15 non-pro now The reason why I decided for that is because I have been using Android for over 10 years now, so I wanted to try something else. That being said, I would not recommend buying one of those flip phones. Any moving part, especially something like those folding displays, is prone to break simply by using it. And Samsung will try every trick in the book to avoid replacing the display.
Edit* Samsung browser is much much better vs chrome. My only complaint is finding a top quality leather case. The Samsung leather case is terrible this year ( returned it ) got a camel colored bellroy case 👍 no phone complaints for me.
If samsung made a phone closer to the size of the iphone mini, I'd switch back to android. Ever since I got the 13 mini I've loved its small size! I hope one day smaller phones get popular but I think those days are sadly over.
The version which now selling in China mainland do have a bigger ram of 12G,but with only 256G storage. I don't know why Samsung made this version with only 256G storage
Hi there. S21 Ultra's camera is easily faulty after a few drops. And it is not just me but 3 of my friends have the same issue the 1 x zoom is out of focus. Of course, it is the user's fault for dropping, but many of the previous S seried could withstand such drops. But that's just my experience
As someone who's been along for the ride since the Galaxy S, I have to admit it feels a bit weird and cringey to gush over the hardware of the S24. Basically because it now looks like an iPhone. Which isn't a bad thing. Almost as long as I've had a Galaxy as my personal device, I've used the corresponding generation iPhone as my work device. There were only 3 things that Apple routinely beat Samsung on: 1. Ecosystem 2. User interface 3. HARDWARE DESIGN I'd almost prefer that Samsung gonback to rounded edges versus flat just for branding and continuity sake....but it looks SOOOO good. I have the 24+ and its my favorite of Galaxy of All-time thus far
But Apple better watch out on Ecosystem features. Samsung is quickly catching up. I'd say Apple only beats Samsung on Hardware quality. I find One UI to be more intuitive and fun to use than IOS, however it is heavier so can occasionally make the phone lag.
Nice phone and review as always 👍🏾. Could be the best flagship out there. But but… why they copy the iPhone band / titanium approach? I thought they were about curved glass?

I just picked up the Samsung Galaxy S24 (SM-S921U). In order I've owned the S2, S4, Note 5, S9+, S10+ and most recently the S21 Ultra. Back in mid 2023 I crack the screen on my S21 Ultra. I do find this phone intriguing. I switched from the iPhone mini 13 to the Motorola razr plus and like folding the phone for the pocket. I do see my next might be the s24, or if the s25 stays within the same form factor
Samsung is most innovtative tech company today. They give their customers options.
I so wanted to buy this phone, but unfortunately im Europe we got the exynos version which is an absolute NO NO for me. Great phone & great screen. Samsung really makes great screens
how about the asus zenfone 10?
i have the s23u and use it without a case, it makes it the same size as a smaller phone w a case
brave man
I have a exynos version.. The battery life makes me regret getting the phone.. I hope a software update would be able to aid in battery performance as time goes.
How bad is it?

I’m finally leaving iPhone to go back to Samsung! I had my same iPhone for about 4 years. I hate upgrading.
As a s24 user, this is not a small phone. At all. Still taking the iphone mini on runs as f*** this big phone trend.
Just ordered mine today from T-Mobile, upgrading from S22Ultra to S24! No more big phones no more $1,400 phones! Can’t wait to get my new phone!
Great job on contributing to e-waste!
Ultra review?
As a non-native English speaker, I have found the Samsung AI to be an invaluable tool in enhancing the quality of my written communication, including texts, comments, and posts. This very comment is a testament to the effectiveness of the AI in assisting me to convey my thoughts and ideas more clearly and professionally.
Right. From any language to English is pretty good. The problem is the other way around
I bought S23 for the same reason last year. Trust me, it's a beast and some more.
Same here I got the S23 I have bigger hands but didn't want the+ or Ultra cause I keep my phone in pocket alot or coat pocket
No it's not ....need the Ultra
Can it switch between front and back camera during filming?
I have Samsung s21, and it can do that. S24 should do that too
@@MD-ww1fy thank you !!! 🤩 galaxy Note 9 can't.
Had mine since January and it feels great in the hand with the case that I use! I do wish they had given an option for at least 10GB ram and 512 GB storage, but it's working for me! Great review thanks JR...
Hi! What case do you use?
@@aliceincokes Hi , I use the "Ringke Fusion X case, great fit, and great gripsivity! Lol... Been using Ringke for years now, easy to hold on to and pickup!
😀👋Does support video stabilization in 4K?
No 👎
S24 owner from Brazil here and the battery pales in comparison to my previous Zenfone 9 😭
Excellent review. Thanks.
Battery life is better on Exynos but ya at the cost of raw power. Think thats not really a problem now but for 7 years of updates not sure itll hold up well long term
I really stopped looking the processor power in smartphone after google released its Tensor.
Disagree with you about switching from Samsung's browser to Chrome on day one. I love Samsung Internet with its dark mode and adblock.
Opera > Samsung browser > Chrome.
With Opera, i can sync history with just an Opera account plus ad blocking plus AI features.
I have the s9+ too and I'm considering the S24 and Z Flip 5.
@@green4ever626 Hi, I got the iPhone 15 non-pro now
The reason why I decided for that is because I have been using Android for over 10 years now, so I wanted to try something else.
Fact's it's also faster.
@@Cluelessracing has a dedicated dark mode and the layout is more user friendly.
@@iLuseMy1v1s also the support for and adblocker that works.
@@iLuseMy1v1s Exactly, I can't live without the dark mode.
@@simp-slayer I can't believe chrome doesn't have dark mode built in.
There isn’t much of a difference between Exynos and Snapdragon anymore.
Still missing the iPhone mini 13
can't you... still use? 🤨
not everyone likes iOS though
Nope we arent....CRAPPLE Sucks big or small

Still using my 13 Mini alongside my Pixel 8.
Thanks for the review convinced to get S24 now. I loved S9 very much but currently stuck with sucky S21Ultra.
S21Ultra - sucky? what don't you like about him?
Hi there. S21 Ultra's camera is easily faulty after a few drops. And it is not just me but 3 of my friends have the same issue the 1 x zoom is out of focus. Of course, it is the user's fault for dropping, but many of the previous S seried could withstand such drops. But that's just my experience
My favorite phone was the note 20 ultra. I think that was the best. I gave it to my son and I want it back!
Are you gonna tell him or should I? 😉🤣
There were only 3 things that Apple routinely beat Samsung on:
1. Ecosystem
2. User interface
3. HARDWARE DESIGN
I'd almost prefer that Samsung gonback to rounded edges versus flat just for branding and continuity sake....but it looks SOOOO good. I have the 24+ and its my favorite of Galaxy of All-time thus far
But Apple better watch out on Ecosystem features. Samsung is quickly catching up. I'd say Apple only beats Samsung on Hardware quality. I find One UI to be more intuitive and fun to use than IOS, however it is heavier so can occasionally make the phone lag.
it's unfortunate everyone switches to chrome because the samsung browser is actually quite good, might even be the best mobile browser
Nice phone and review as always 👍🏾.
Could be the best flagship out there. But but… why they copy the iPhone band / titanium approach? I thought they were about curved glass?
If you had to choose s24 vs iphone 15 pro and money not an issue?
If you got money to burn, go for the iphone 15 pro 512gb😂
s24 ultra
@obamagaming3654 no im saying a regular s24 vs small iphone 15 pro
@@seba8425 15 pro is massive compared to regular s24 so i thought u were comparing it with the 24ultra which is similar size to the pro
If you can buy the s24 256 with the snapdragon 8 gen 3 chipset in your country go for that, but otherwise just pick up a s23 256gb (SD 8 gen 2) for a cheaper price
Looking at upgrading from the s22 and very happy to hear that the battery life is better. Cant even get through a full day on the s22.
It takes good photos just before uploading them to social sites xD..you can get better output on social media than S24 series
This phone is super amazing.
I love it
I decided not to upgrade until there will finally be 512gb, or 1tb version on smallest S series. 256gb of storage is not enough for me.
As a European im not trading my SD 23 for this. Ive used 3 samsung S phones, all exynos, all had different problems, this is the 1st one without any, so ill keep it until next SD base varient
easy to recommend only if its the SD variant.
no sd card why😢
Profit margin, why allow customers easy access to SD cards when they can charge more for onboard memory 😢

I just picked up the Samsung Galaxy S24 (SM-S921U). In order I've owned the S2, S4, Note 5, S9+, S10+ and most recently the S21 Ultra. Back in mid 2023 I crack the screen on my S21 Ultra. I decided to use budget phones for the past 8 months or so and finally decided to see what promotions T-mobile had. Got this S24 for free. I am right at home with One UI and I love it.
Just got mine for free as well, can't wait to use mine when it gets delivered
Great review, and I could not agree with you more. Thanks a bunch.
Anyone know any major difference between the s22 which i have rn, but will upgrade tomorrow to the s24
just bought the s24 over the s24+ because of this video! the size and one-handed use is a huge priority for me.
My s23 plus has a pretty weak camera I'm actually surprised
Why no headphone jack????
