I am deeply disappointed that you only have 89k subs. You should have at least a million subs judging how technical your content is. Its exactly what kind of technical content pianists love to watch.
I agree with "less is more". Many of these arrangements add so much decoration that the musicality of the piece suffers. Not that the technicality isn't fun... it can be and is (and the technical proficiency on display is amazing), but... music first. I think that's one area Animenz excels at... adding the technical without sacrificing the musicality. I'd still love to see you react to Peter Bence and/or Jarrod Radnich.
@@matticawoodPlease do, Yui Morshita is the stuff, many times more technical than the likes of Animenz, Phyxinon but also more musical - his dynamic control makes a million notes feel coherent
I feel like what you analyzed bled over to what was part of the original composition of the songs instead of how it they interprets the composition in their arrangement. I think you do mention somewhere that you havnt actually listened to the original piece which I found a little dissapointing... I still really enjoyed what you pointed out though! They were eye opening when pointing them out in the original pieces :)) Hopefully you can try to enjoy the original pieces, which are actually mainly piano too!
You mention not knowing the original, so I figure I'll link each of the 2 pieces original soundtracks below too in case you didn't check them out afterwards :) Marigold: ua-cam.com/video/4RiT4xPgRZo/v-deo.html Anima: ua-cam.com/video/hQS06j9o-F8/v-deo.html
There are no real dynamics between everything in place. I was wondering if anyone really noticed this at all? Almost all of it is one dynamic level the entire time. Just putting it out there. Yes, he can play and I give it to him but there is really no difference the whole time in dynamics of the whole piece.
I once said I would never pay for UA-cam. But I got a membership to your channel just now. You deserve it. Thank you Matthew.
Thank you! I’m glad you decided to jump on board and I hope you enjoy the extra content 😊

When i think of Anime Piano, i prefer Animenz cause his covers are creatives and so beautiful but all of them are awesome.

Most crazy anime piano cover will always be AKIBA-POP the Future, by Yui Morishita. Incredible song by an incredible classical pianist.
Il have to look this up! 😊
@@matticawood Pardon me, meant to say 'piece' here instead of 'song', but the song's pretty fun as well 😂

Thanks 12:58 there weren't many video tips and tricks for this technique. Much appreciated.
Great video! So wonderful how you listen to your audience, that you'd react to an artist like this
