One honarable mention would be "The Banshee" by Henry Cowell in which you play it by scraping the strings to mimic the roars of a Banshee.

Hiromi does one with metal rulers on a portion of the strings. Radnich does a final butt chord at the terminus of his 'Pirates Forever', which actually fits.

Hey matt. I know it doesnt have to do anything to do with piano but you should react to some of "Walk off the Earth" stuff.
They are a really interesting band and I would like to see what you would say about them. thanks!

Not so long ago I saw someone stick a guitar pick between two notes to hold it (was on a synth keybed, so dont know if that works on a piano keybed).

There's this one contemporary piece called "Piano Activities" by Philip Corner where there's a detailed set of instructions to follow and the piano ends up completely destroyed by the end of the performance

György Ligeti (Hungarian-Austrian) in1923 composed "Musica ricercata" with just the note: A.
The American Pop song "My Sharona" with the Knack. The melody sung by Doug Fiegel has just 2 notes: F & G... "my my my my Sharona" with "F F F F F F G".

4.33 is not exactly silence, but the music is created by the noises produced by the audience, so any time we are not playing an instrument we are actually performing 4.33

You clearly missed another way to play the piano.
From "Greece Got Talent", where a snotty judge starts by describing that the gentlemen on stage will be playing "obviously" a 4-hand piece ( while throwing various French words to show her cultural level).
The laughter from the other judges was musing to my ears.

This is completely unrelated to this video, but I have a question.
I wanted to buy your beginners sight reading book, the book cost 15£, and when I went to checkout after putting in my danish address, no shipping fee or options for delivery came. It still said 15£
    Is this normal?
Thanks in advance, and keep up the great videos :)

Its hard for me to believe a composer would write nothing and call it a piece of music... The nose pieces are cool but do they have a smell to them... I think it would be cool if the composer had a particular essential oil connected to the piece...
