    By far the best coverstitch demo I have seen. Was not thinking Juki before but certainly am now. Thankyou.

      I'm glad this is helpful, this machine is great and it will do more other than hemming.

      Thank you I truly appreciate that wow I'm just so happy about what you said! When I decided to create sewing tutorials I did it for my sister so she can learn how to sew.

    Thanks for putting together this video. Do you use a iron on tape in the hem before sewing the hem?

    • @sewaldodiy
      @sewaldodiy  3 роки тому +1

      You're welcome. No I don't use hemming tape since I don't use lightweight fabrics.

      Thanks Marissa nagulat nga din ako sa gift na ito very unexpected. Sabi ng hubby ko noon nag research at compare daw nya ang Janome at Juki brand mas mataas daw ang review ng Juki. Mahirap daw i thread ang Janome ayun sa mga nabasa nya. Pero I guess kong nakagamit ka na ng overlocker before you will figure it out.

    Do you recommend this cover stitch? I have heard it is finicky?

    • @sewaldodiy
      @sewaldodiy  Місяць тому +1

      @@Fattiapples It is finicky that’s why I only use it for hemming as of now. I’m still intimidated by it but it will do more than what I’m using it for.

      @@sewaldodiy I see thank you for responding. Do you think the brother would be best for a beginner and not as finicky?

      @@Fattiapples I am not sure about the Brother cover stitch but I have two Brother sergers and I love them and very user friendly.

    Hi,
    The threads should be pulled to back and tied prior to cutting - otherwise they can unravel.

      Yes you are right I had been doing that since. Thanks for the input that I forgot to include here! :)

    The music is a distraction and unnecessary. If this is a "teaching" video, I'd rather hear your narration throughout the video and the actual sound of the machine to stay focused on the project at hand.

    I am a bit confused. How is this diffetent from sewing with a twin needle on a regular sewing machine? Looks like the same result. Can it do also anything else ?

    • @patriciaharvieux3321
      @patriciaharvieux3321 5 років тому

      It stays flat. You don't get the rounded hump in between the needle threads.

      Patricia Harvieux i still dont understand. My twin needle also dont get a hump in between the threads and stays flat. I use it all the time without any problem so I still dont understand whete this machine is for.
